We so need to open the discussion in our wards and in Relief Society and other adult meetings. As one who has experienced abuse, I'm hypersensitive to seeing it in others and know of no way to support my sisters who live it and do not speak it, can not admit it. 🙏🇨🇦❤️
Thank you for speaking about such an important topic!! I am grateful to our church leaders for finally addressing abuse over the pulpit and making it clear that it is NEVER ok and must be dealt with. Speaking from personal experience, too many times I have seen church leaders brush offensives under the rug especially when it’s a young man who has done the abuse, they don’t want to ruin his chances of serving a mission. Meanwhile the young girl or child is left with life long trauma that will affect every aspect of their life forever. Yes I do believe, and know for myself, that God and our Savior can help heal even the deepest of wounds. But they are never erased 💔
I just have to say that I went through a verbally abusive relationship yrs ago and listening to you two talk has made me realize that the person who cause the abuse, has really never repented. I thank you both for talking about stuff like this. You make me feel comfortable listening and feeling the spirit. Thank you.
Great topic this week. My brother is drug addict that been in and out of jail his whole adult life. Never thought that he feels enough shame as is, that I don't need to add to it. Thanks for your challenge.
I agree with the comment below - I experienced abuse as a child - 2 separate types, 2 separate people. I believe that healing is possible - but I feel, at 60 years old, that I don't think it will happen for me in this life
Jesus was never created, He did not have a mother or Father God, He had no parents, He is God, he is the Alpha and the Omega. in the beginning and the end. Nothing in the bible states Jesus is created and has parents in a pre-existence. Chapter 8, Jesus says, I am the light of the world, He who follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. How can someone that is created, like we are, be the light of the world, that is because He is NOT created. "God created all things and holds all things together, both in heaven and on earth, both visible and invisible." Jesus created all things, He is our creator, in John 10 "Jesus says I and the Father are One". "Believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him", Jesus is God, not a created being.
I LOVE y ou guys but I'm sorry not sure I understand the causal dress while discussing the Saviour? I feel He deserves more respect than that. The bright red socks are distracting and the spirit isn't as strong as compared when you guys are dressed in Sunday best.
The spirit was felt. It's easy to be distracted if you allow yourself to stress on appearances and not the Spirit. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of comfort and we all should probably try not to judge a person by what he's wearing or not wearing and stress more on the teachings of Christ. I understand your view, but hope you understand what I'm saying also. Love to all.
We need to be able to have conversations of Christ in any appearance. We need to break the stigma of looks and appearance and just be ourselves. “Come as you are.” Jesus loves them no matter what they look like. Jesus is proud of them for sharing the gospel every week. They did an eloquent job speaking about the topic for this week and that speaks enough for itself. Jesus deserves respect, but that does not come in the form of appearance when talking about Him.

This really hits home to me, because I am not close with my father at all. He was mean to me growing up, and I never felt loved by him.
I am so sorry for your loss, Ganel-Lyn
Such wonderful insights. Thank you.

We’re not always in church clothes when we spread the gospel, and that’s okay. We’re asked to share it always
Gr8 job! Thx for sharing
