Satan thrives on secrecy, shame, fear and mystery. One of the first steps in addiction recovery is to recognize, name, and admit your addiction which dispels all of his power.
“Once you have courage to look upon evil, seeing it for what it is and naming it by its true name, it is powerless against you, and you can destroy it.” From The Book of Three by Lloyd Alexander.
In your discussion when you were talking about Satan, I was reminded of an experience my companion and I had on my mission. We were walking around Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada and the both of us felt dark and heavy and had a hard time doing missionary work. We went back to our apartment said a prayer and afterwards felt much happier. We knew it was Satan trying to discourage us from doing the Lord's work.
Gaynel you hit the nail right on the head, when talking about the adversary. You’re One Smart Cookie, 🍪. You two do a great job on the way you deliver-your message’s. Keep up the hard work and God bless both of you. 🙃
Love what you shared about the Good Samaritan and the comparisons to Christ and the Fall, etc. I read the article in the Ensign years ago by John Welch and it has forever changed me. Thanks for bringing it up again because I’d forgotten some of the little details that make it even more meaningful! I enjoy your show!
Your podcast is always spot on what I need. Thank you. An idea was presented to me... and it's been very thought provoking. That Jesus, before his ministry, was the victim in the parable discussed today. WHAT IF... HE says that we need to do unto the least of these. What if we came upon a guy, beaten and in bad shape, and it was indeed Jesus. Our adversary has always tried to stop Jesus, what if this did indeed happen to HIM. WHILE we think of Him as the GOOD SAMARITAN, what if HE was first ... the beaten one.
Our Temple Covenants and Baptismal Covenants literally bind the Adversary. They provide a shield...a protection for us. That is why the Prophet is strtessing temple attendance and keeping our covenants. That is why so many are breaking their covenants. Final days of the war.

Thanks for the reference to the article. I had to look it up but it is in the February 2007 Ensign.

What an amazing angle to view this beloved parable. Thanks so much for sharing that. Where can we find Elder Uchtdorf’s quote? ♥️
The quote is in the video description! ♥️
Is there a link to the video you mentioned at the end?
It's in the Come Follow Me manual
