I've been selling on eBay for 25 years and to all of y'all thinking about quitting your job and starting this I don't think I would advise it,, I think you could make a decent living but you would need to put down a ton of hours each week and I don't know where in the world you would find all of this stuff to resell. It's pretty good for making about $1,000 a month but once again finding the stuff is the key
I just quit my job the other day to focus on growing my business online through eBay and Poshmark because I need to be my own boss due to my health problems. I need to be able to take breaks. I’m a little nervous not because I don’t think that I would make any sales but that I’m not consistent. But I’m determined to turn that around.

eddie Bauer first ascent is definitely the better part of the brand, the other items do alright, but first ascent is made alot better qauloty for the outdoors so it goes for a higher amount I've been finding. I just started reselling in march, been moving to more full time, gotta get a bit more consistent with my listings lol. Best of wishes and luck to you!! love your personality!!

I quit my job also early this year to be a FT reseller and it sure isn't for the faint of heart but totally worth it! my situation is similar to yours where I was working a job for many years but I had such long hours and the commute was brutal. My husband and I have been together for nearly 15 years and want to try for a baby as well within the next year or 2 as I am in my mid 30's. I'm planning to get fertility testing and such but I really wanted the flexibility of making my own money and having my own business. Good luck to you and wishing you success! :)
Really smart to do the high to low comps on the brands and what your seeing the most. I'm in Minnesota and see a ton of those brands as well but pass up a ton of Eddie bauer like regularly because not worth it but maybe it is.... love it!!!! Thank you so much.

I transitioned from my own brick and mortar consignment shop and now sell consignment online only. I supplement consignments with items that I purchase to resell. My items, that I research before buying, make me 5 times the money that consigned items do and I have zero cost invested in consigned items, only listing time. Researching when buying is time consuming, but if you plan to make a full time income, it's going to be essential for your business to be profitable. After you've done it awhile, you won't have to look up as many items.

As a cross stitcher, many, many people crossstitch full coverage designs with company with Heaven and Earth Designs. Michelle at HAED, takes art from artists and makes their art into cross stitch patterns and she pays the artist for their work. If your interested in spreading your art to the crossstitch world, I would reach out to HAED or other avenues. Crossstitchers tend to gravitate towards animals (such as the fish) and heavily on fantasy such as your dragon. Consistency is key……I try to list between 10-20 items per day. And try to make sure they are items that have a decent sell through rate (items that people want).

Sorry about that! The prices I paid for these were the "typical" Goodwill prices for my area. The heavier coats were $10, long sleeves are about $7, short sleeves are $5, and any I showed that had the pink tag were 50% off.

Yeah, I think the jackets and heavier flannel types do well. But again, I need to check into those numbers some more.
