I was 15 when I first heard this song. My English teacher played it in class. I absolutely loved it. I’m now 65 and have lost many good friends and worst of all my sister. It pains me a lot but I’m lucky I still have a friend I can call. Children and grandchildren.

I've been listening to Carole King since I was 7, and I turned 61 on Cinco de Mayo. No one can top or reach this level El of simplistic perfection.
Just a bit of transparency. My wife sings this to my daughter to learn the seasons of the year. Today i play it for my daughter for breakfast and imnsinging it to her....and tears come down. My heart is heavy. And im just so grateful to hear these words and look at her face. Im still quietly crying. And my baby shouts sing it daddy!! 😂😂😂 God is good. Never forget you are loved. All of us.
For the past 2 months, my 11 month old daughter makes me hold her and sing her this to sleep. Many many loved ones who are in the great beyond, wishing they could have met her. I tear up sometimes too at the meaning of the lyrics and how I’ve never meant it so much than I do for that perfect little face sleeping in my arms. Your wife has fabulous taste in music! Used to listen to this 35 years ago in my mom’s house and she would play it loud when she did house chores. It was my mom favorite’s song. When I listen to this song now I miss my mom so much.

yesterday my good friend JULIO CESAR DOMINQUEZ was cremated, he died of covid.. never a better friend you could count on him anytime. a good friend, father, son. a great musician he played guitar, piano, tiple and a whole bunch other instruments, real good artist he painted themes of cartagena de indias where he lived for many years. i am really sorry he passed and i will miss my friend, cant find a better song to remember him. For me part of the beauty of Carole King is that she never pretended to be anyone but her simple beautiful self. The album cover speaks volumes. Just sitting there in the window, relaxed and barefoot, with a beloved kitty, looking vaguely surprised that anyone would care to pay attention.
Other musicians should take a page from that book. But then again, maybe most just don't have what it takes.

Friends are so hard to come by. When I had a major heart attack on October 7, 2017, I text a good friend from the ambulance and he came right away to the hospital. He brought me food during my 10 day stay in the hospital. Alberto is a true friend. Praise God!

My friend of more than 30 years died a few years back and it is impossible to understand how it hurts. How much pain there is. I went through a phase where I drank too much and I really embarrassed myself on one occasion. Barbara just said to me "keep your dignity". That was so kind and understanding and so Barbara. . I have lapsed and a family member I loved all my life proved not so understanding. I don't even like him now.

In case you didn't know you can save all the songs to your Favorite Songs and they stay there forever. James Taylor and Carole King had to be BFF's. Carole King Wrote or Co wrote so many songs people hear her songs but never know she wrote them.

My mom used to play this to me on her guitar i would lay on the bed and she was so beautiful she would get all into it and sing it with passion straight from her heart she passed away and now that i grew up i just wanna tell you mom i totally get where your coming from now!!! I wish you were still here so bad!! I love u so much!! Ill never forget you! U were the best mom ever even tho we had our ups and downs!! Ill see u again one day!!!!
Tears are running down my cheeks... This song one of my most beloved friends sent me in one of my darkest nights. HE had to go so early...Few days before he wanted to come from USA to visit me and my kids again in Germany, he died cause of cancer. Missing him today... A real good friend!

This is such a beautiful song. It really resonates when you are young when everything can be so transient. Friends have a tendency to come and go, couple up, move on. That idea of a friend who remains constant and will "come running" is powerful.
