  • This is Part VII in our series on Waypoints for the DJI Mavic 3 series of drones (not the Enterprise). This video shows how to Delete a Waypoint Mission. It was produced using the RC Pro deleting a mission created on a Mavic 3 Cine. We also tested on the DJI Fly app on an iPhone. We show deleting a mission without the drone connected. But, of course, connecting the drone works too.

      Thank you Ron. New home is coming together. Renting for the first year to figure out the lay of the land.
      Living inside controlled airspace. Requires a little more planning to fly. :)

      @@middleloopvideo How far do you have to drive to get out of controlled air space?

      Haven’t had to yet. I can get automatic approval up to 300 feet. So, it’s pretty quick. But I also have a university stadium that has a permanent TFR. It requires that I know the schedule.

      I had a bad waypoint mission that put my Mini 4 through some trees, was testing it right at twilight and it almost flew through them with no obstacle avoidance, instead of reworking it I just wanted to delete the entire thing and start over, but could not figure out how to despite having done it before.@@middleloopvideo

    Thanks, it's very useful. When creating a mission the controller becomes very slow in processing. What is the solution please?

    Is there a way to transfer waypoints from a RC-N1 to a RC-Pro controller?

      Ugh. Great question. I’ve pondered that myself in the past. I have been able to locate where DJI stores the Waypoint data files in a compressed xml format on the RC Pro. I’ve thought about hacking a method for backing up and restoring the files since DJI doesn’t provide a way. Getting that to work would be the first step.
      Next, I would to find where they store the files on the RC-N1 controller (actually it would be the phone that the Fly app is being run on) and attempt to restore one of those files. A lot would have to go right. 😀
      It might be possible ☺️

    Is it possible to make the mission path straight and have the drone automatically take pictures?

    • @middleloopvideo
      @middleloopvideo  5 місяців тому

      Yes. I would probably use the offline method as in the video below... where you setup your mission on a map. Just freehand, you should be able to get it pretty straight. Plus, you can move them around after the fact to fix any waypoint that's out of line. Photos can be taken at any or all waypoints.

    great video. On a M30 how do you pause and resume the mission during waypoint? It asks me to return to break point. Any suggestions?

      Wow... doesnt the M30 have like a 45 minute flight time.... must be an impressive Waypoint. I never tried it... I was hoping it would be smart enough to prompt to pickup where it left off. No, huh?
      I know there is an option to choose which waypoint to start the mission... does that help?
