@@middleloopvideo I just cannot get over how easily you could make a really good living just a few hours a month doing instructional videos, voice-overs, commercials, Podcasts, etc. with the level of clarity and intelligence in how you speak. Sincerely not trying to come off as weird, but your voice together with the details you include are such that anyone can comprehend and appreciate. It’s quite amazing and unique to say the least. If I didn’t know better, I’d send some of these to some friends in the broadcasting industry and try to get a commission, LOL! Take care and keep em coming sir!

Few hours a month? Oh no. Each of these videos takes several weeks working full time. From research and writing, to voice over, graphic creation, editing, etc. I’m glad they appear to be quick and easy.

In Restream? Contact Restream support. It used to be complicated. But, I think they may have made it simpler now.

Weird. I would try using the DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drone Series). Check to make sure the firmware is on the current version and update if not. You can also refresh the firmware if it's already current. Are you able to unpair/re-pair the drone? If nothing works, you'll have to contact DJI support... They may want you to send it for repair. Good luck!

On the RC Pro? I guess it’s possible the M3T isn’t compatible??? Sorry, we don’t have that drone to test. Do you have another drone compatible with the RC Pro? I wonder if it shows up on that one.

On the RC Pro, audio is included in the video recording. However, the DJI Mic itself has the ability to capture its own audio only file.

I assume you have focused it. I don’t have the M3 Pro, but tapping on the screen on the subject will focus and set exposure. There’s probably a setting for auto exposure too. That’s all I can think of. If not that, give DJI support a try.

I’m not aware of any way to change the speed of the zoom wheel. But, it is variable depending on how hard you crank on it. I personally haven’t found that I have needed to adjust it. I’ll need to check, but I believe can also zoom from the touch screen. Maybe you’ll have more control that way.

Hi Jim. Yeah, I have been planning on traveling for this one since the last one in 2017. I didn’t travel for that one and only had a partial eclipse. Even so, the photos I took from that one are some of my favorite shots I have hanging on my walls. Frankly, we got lucky this time with the weather. The predictions for Vermont were bleak based on history. But, it turned out to be one of the best spots along the path of totality. I couldn’t believe it. 20 years until the next one!

That’s actually the subject of our next video. We’ll be aligning 15 photos taken every 10 minutes. The result is what you see at the beginning and end of this video. But you wouldn’t want to use our method for 529. Is this for a single photo? Or Timelapse video? For the single photo, I started with 29 shots. But, the result was too wide. So, I cut it down to 15 and it looks great. For the Timelapse I used a couple hundred photos and ended up using the same method to align them.

It’s usually a problem with the url/key not being exactly right. Have you tried the copy/paste method?

I watched your other video and did the copy paste function. That worked!! I was able to live feed but as to click start live feed in Facebook. Next time I tried, smart controller would start live feed but it wouldn’t go to Facebook. Do I have to start live feed in Facebook on desktop every time I want to go live with drone?

@@stevejett4643 I know Instagram requires a new key each time. But, I thought Facebook didn’t. You might try using the Restream method I used in the “Solved” video. Not required but it does provide for other benefits and it might solve your restart issue. Good luck!

Yes. Restream is a multistream service. The free / basic plan lets you feed to up to 2 streaming services simultaneously like Facebook and UA-cam. A paid plan lets you stream to more simultaneously. You would setup your drone controller as described in this video. Point the RTMP url/key to Restream. Then in Restream you would setup 2 channels. Good luck 🍀

@middleloopvideo thank you! After I thought about it I realized the data I put in the RTMP field is from Restream so however that is set up, that's where it will stream to. I tired it this morning and it worked great. I was hoping it would stream my DJI screen instead of from my camera though.

I don’t have my drone with me. I know the RC pro has a setting to switch between drone feed and screen. But, that may just for the HDMI port. In which case you could use an HDMI capture card to plug it into a computer via usb. Then use something like OBS on the computer to stream to Restream.

I don’t think so. But the receiver plugs right into the usb port.

Hi Jim. Thank you. I’ve been able to fly here pretty much. I’m working on capturing a construction site over and over. Using a Waypoint mission. So, far I have 15 captures over a couple of months. Planning on doing a video (or two) with tips on putting together an aerial Timelapse. Good to hear from you!

I finally pulled my Smart Controller / Mavic 2 Pro out of the closet to test it out. I too cannot set waypoints without the drone on and connected. I tried tricking it turning off the drone after being in the waypoint interface. But, that didn't work either. Oh well... One more advantage of the Mavic 3 I guess.
