  • Hello and welcome back to another video! Today we are making some big ol’ pants out of some flannel plaid fabric to give us a cozy layer now that colder weather is coming and winter is starting. I love these because they have the comfort and appearance of a skirt while also making sure I stay nice and cozy!!

I'm going to go make some of these now. I think I might try making summery ones, though wintery thick plaid ones would also be great.

they look so good! approximately how wide are the pant legs? i understand they need to be a certain with in order to get the skirt effect. this has inspired me to make my own pair of secret pants without a pre-nade pattern but im missing some details 😅😅

Thank you!! Mine ended up being 18 inches across (so 36in for the whole circumference of each leg) though I actually figured out how wide I wanted them to be from my waist! I usually prefer my gathered skirts to be 3x the width of my waist measurement so that they are full enough for my taste but since this fabric was thicker I got enough for about 2.5x my waist instead. I lost a bit of that width in the seams but that was how I figured out how wide to make them!!
