First I would like to thank you for your service, my freedom is because of all of you service men and women. Second, I couldn't agree more about the install. I am currently installing my Rough Country 6" lift kit on my 2016 Ram 1500 sport 4x4. I tell ya when doing it by yourself in your driveway it takes time. Especially getting the diff out. Them driver side mounting bolts are tight to get too and not to mention the red loctite they have on them. Looks good bud and cant wait to finish mine. Only rear left to do. Thanks for the video man. I installed 3” lift kit from a professional dealer and Someone on my channel said my shocks are upside down. I’m gna call them tomorrow. 👍 thanks for the info.
I know I might be kinda late. Thanks from what it looks like I probably won’t but I’d love to hear from someone who has crossed that bridge already thank you
What rough country kit, I’m about to buy a 6 inch rough country with strut spacers but I see that the second option is with lifted struts and that’s gonna be 330$ more, lmk please if with struts spacers is enough or I have to get the lifted struts, that way I can get the right one
I sold the truck but I’m still I contact with the guy and see it all the time. It’s still has everything I installed with no issues with the lift. Now the headers are a different story
For someone who’s not extreamly mechanically inclined but decent and who daily drives there ram would you recommend doing it your self or to pay to have a shop do it
That’s hard to say to be honest. If you are not mechanically inclined installing this might be more trouble than it’s worth, But on the other hand if you pay some company they should warranty the work
We're 3 years down the road now... How are you feeling about this kit? I have a 19' r and I'm thinking about going this route and doing it myself. I'm mechanically inclined and my wife was a diesel mechanic in the army.
hey man can you please load a another video. About your review on this Kit and like have you had any mechanical problems on your truck after doing the lift. any ball joint problems or tie rod problems stuff like that.
Unfortunately I will not be able to upload another video. I sold the truck a couple months ago but I will tell you that the two years of owning the truck after the lift I had zero issues with the lift with the upper or lower control arms or any type of bushings. I drove the truck cross country while towing a car trailer with the 6 inch lift with no issues other than my awesome gas mileage I got
I've installed a couple lift kits on jeeps but now I'd rather pay the money to have it installed. Lots of time and energy to do it yourself that's for sure.
I here you . I'm doing my 07 now and my biggest problem so fat is my lower control arm bolts wouldn't come out. So I had to cut them and I replaced them and the bushings in arm.
Did you have any rear vibration or bounciness after installing this kit? I just installed the 4 inch kit on my ram 1500 and I get rear vibration at 50-70mph. I don’t know what’s causing it unless I got some defective shocks.
I did have the bouncing in the rear and that’s when I called them sent them a video and they identified my shocks were upside down as soon as I turned them the correct way I had no issues at all if you installed the shocks based off of the pictures on the instructions they are wrong
jferrara43 it’s all pretty simple. The directions tell you exactly what to do and how to relocate them. As for the diff harness it pretty stretched to get it back connected but it works
Thanks for the video and your service. Just a heads up for the future. You dont have to compress the rear coils to remove them. Just need an adjustable cylinder style jack. Unbolt your shocks, unbolt your rear sway bar, and use the Jack to lift the body away from your axle. It goes up quite a bit, then you just grab the springs right out freely. How is the ride quality? Did you need an alignment after? I have a half ass lift on my truck, went the cheap route for now.
Great vid gonna be doing this to my 2014 here in a few months probably also gonna be doing in in my driveway can’t lie I’m excited as hell for it but I’m also trying to do as much research as I can that instruction sheet only tells so much lol also lastly what did you have to do with the rear seat bar? The instructions say something about drilling and correct placement of the new brackets
My truck rides horrible over every bump or Crack. How do I change that to ride smooth like stock,,, like it's insane if I hit a small Crack it sways the truck left or right it's horrible
