I blew out my bushings on my stock 4in lift kit not the full 6” build and I wanna go for a 6” since my tires are getting torn from rubbing but also my alignment terrible alignment from having blow out bushings but my question is do I need anything else that’s not included in this package for an 09 Ram 2wd
They do, as long as you get a wheel with the 4.5" back spacing. So that means you will either have to use spacers on your stock rims or get an aftermarket rims with a 4.5" backspace, 0mm or -12 offset. That is what I've done for mine.
I noticed this kit includes brackets to extend DIFF and rear pan hard bar in order to keep proper alignment.....my question is at what height should I start to need this brackets to keep proper alignment? I don’t see anything like this on an ICON suspension kit...although that’s a 3” roughly....shouldn’t I still need to have brackets to extend?
Quick question about this lift. Would I be able to run coil spacers out back and strut spacers up front? I'm pretty sure the back is fine but the front is the concern being that the kit runs the strut spacers.. Is it not a good idea to double up the strut spacers or being that they're able to be bolted together would that be ok? Awesome build, I'm just looking to get around 10"-11" up front and 9"-10" out back. Was trying to avoid a body lift is why I ask.
Keith Wildman you could run bilistein adjustable struts up front set to 2.8 to add some height if you go with the 5 inch coil in back. Some people add an extra inch to back with a spacer as well. If you're setting them at 2.8 and planning on off roading hard you should look at upgrading your upper control arms as well.
bgflyfish ok perfect. I emailed a few suppliers and they advised against stacking spacers so I'm going to just go with a 6"/7" lift then add a 3" body lift. Goal is to be able to fit 37s or possibly 40s..
bgflyfish damn, that's nice to hear haha. Was thinking atleast a -24 offset with either an 18" or 20" rim would be nice. So would the additional body lift allow for 40s or is that to much/overkill lol. I'm happy with 35s or 37s but 40s will turn heads haha. I'm gon a check that site out and sign up. Much appreciated man.
Keith Wildman I'm getting my 6/5 zone lift with bilisteins installed tomorrow at 2.1. I want a slight rake for towing and am running a 35/13.5r20 with 20x10 -24 offset. I have 3.55 gears and hear its a bit sluggish on 37s so we'll see how it goes.
Jordan B how’s the truck drives in highway? Smooth/rough what about gas consumption goes up ? Please let me know since I’m interesting in having 6in in my 2011 Ram 1500 4x4
Custom Offsets I understand but to be honest I enjoy those. Honestly when I see the 50 second vids you guys have been doing lately I just skip them entirely. It's a tough spot to be in I guess. But I'm sure I can't be the only one that wants more meat in the videos...
When i got my 6” BDS lift i upgraded to Fox coil overs , the installer was recommended to me by bds he i did replace the lower control arm not the upper its been 10000 miles no problems so far i am looking at replacing my upper control now as a preventive maintenance , im going to change my tire and wheel size from 325/50/22 to somthing like 20x10 35” tires
Custom Offsets I seen one of your video they used preload spacer on of my the lifted truck on front to make perfect look for one of your customers cuz I heard if we don’t used preload spacer rear height is 5-6 taller than front so I am still confused... so you can you help me understand please
All info on the truck can be found in the Gallery link in the video description. Here is that link, it looks like he's running 1.75" all the way around. www.customwheeloffset.com/wheel-offset-gallery/401068/2015-ram-1500-spaced-out-stockers-spaced-out-stockers-bds-suspension-suspension-lift-6in
Great looking truck, however the owner should really invest in undercoating his/her drive shafts. Surface rust does not look good at all. Down to the core this is a Ram issue more than a consumer issue, however it makes Custom Offsets look bad as well... I recommend you guys just go ahead and spray undercoating on whatever vehicle you showcase just so every vehicle you show is in top notch condition. It makes your company look good, the customer look good, and makes future buyers wanting to buy your products more. I mean no offense: just a word of advice is all.
BDS/FOX offers longer strut for ram 1500. if you buy their top end kit, it comes with it or as an upgrade for the kit in the video instead of spacers
A trick : watch series on KaldroStream. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Dakota Oakley Definitely, been watching on kaldrostream for months myself :)

Would love to get a bds lift kit but they dont allow 17 inch rims, so spare tire won't fit and 17 rims are better for off roading.

Do you need an upper control arm replacement since it’s a lift? Or is the knuckle achieving the length needed?
Most lift kits come with everything you need or it will say you need to buy something for it to work!

Anything over 3" we recommend a kit with a differential drop to avoid those bad angles.
Looks cool 😎

Keith Wildman just a 6/5 in bds/zone lift will clear 37s with right backspacing/offset alone. Check ramforum.com for more info

Does the 6” kit increase front and rear suspension travel? If so, how much travel vs stock? Thanks!
Brad,
Rough country makes up to 6in lifted front struts. I have them on my '12 1500. They have them as an option for an extra $200 over the spacers.
Jordan B how’s the truck drives in highway? Smooth/rough what about gas consumption goes up ? Please let me know since I’m interesting in having 6in in my 2011 Ram 1500 4x4
Rough country is garbage though js

Holy shit, you guys are still doing longer videos? first one I seen over 3 minutes in forever
UA-cam doesn't like long videos that people don't completely watch, we've been trying to keep em short, sweet, and to the point!
Custom Offsets I understand but to be honest I enjoy those. Honestly when I see the 50 second vids you guys have been doing lately I just skip them entirely. It's a tough spot to be in I guess. But I'm sure I can't be the only one that wants more meat in the videos...
You should be UA-cam guy much more cool er than other guys

Can I buy just the rear brake line relocation bracket?
Send an email to info@customoffsets.com and well see what we can do for you!
Take off the fender flares
Would you suggest replacement upper control arms with this lift?
You are not required to change out the upper control arms for this lift unless your existing ones are physically damaged.

I want to install a 6” lift on my 18 Ram crew cab 4x4 with the exact stock 20s. I have them on 34” MTs. My question is do I need wheel spacers?
We do not specialize in stock fitment so we would recommend posting in a Facebook group or forum!
Hi, I'm looking for 2014 dodge ram 1500 6 inch lift kit front SPINDLE L SIDE
Nice!!
Do I need preload spacer for 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 with rough country 6 inch lift kit make perfect height?
If you are meaning being level all around spacers aren't needed
Custom Offsets I seen one of your video they used preload spacer on of my the lifted truck on front to make perfect look for one of your customers cuz I heard if we don’t used preload spacer rear height is 5-6 taller than front so I am still confused... so you can you help me understand please

I have the same truck I am looking at a BDS or a zone lift kit as we speak BDS Big 🍆 suspension
For a 6 inch lift and 35s truck doesn't look very high .
It is a big truck. Some builds, you can see why people say the 1500 and 2500 use the same body lol
