I just found this video, im doing a 6 " zone lift...as to fuel eco...fixed that with a tuner also depends on HOW you drive...Brakes i ordered a set of EBC truck tow rotors and pads so thats taken care of. I have a 2013 ram express 4x4 and with the factory tune i was getting 15.5 when it would go into eco mode, turn the MDS off it goes up to 16.2. I am currently running nitto exograpples 265-70-20. But like you say gotta pay to play. Cool vid
Got a pro comp level kit,Mickey thompson bajas with pro comp extreme mt2's and then put a super 40 with duels straight out the back with 4 inch tips on a 2003 1500 with less than 100000 on it. single cab short box. I love this truck. The tires wail done the highway but the super 40 hlps to drown it out. Love driving past a prious and getting on it,especialy when their windows are down. This thing sounds sweet! And it's only a 4.7. Could have bought a new truck but a house is my main concern right now.
Really liked your video!! Hopefully getting a dodge ram soon and thinking about doing just the leveling kit! Very informative , i appreciated it!!! You should post more videos!
hey man thanks a lot for the feedback and glad i could help! i have had a couple ppl ask for more vids like this and i plan on doing an update vid very soon. thanks again and please subscribe to my channel!!!!
In theory yes, you will notice a difference in acceleration out of the hole, at cruising speeds it's not really an issue. It usually doesnt make enough of a difference to justify the costs of regearing both differentials. It can cost you about $2,500- $3,000 in parts and labor to gear both axles at the average shop. Most shops now days probably wont even offer it because it's a complex job, have to got to a 4x4 specialty shop which = $$$$$. When I wanted to regear my XJ after doing 35s I was quoted $1250 per axle. I just bought more stuff for my jeep instead and didnt try to think it was ever going to be a rally racing machine. Just a slow mall crawler that got 9 mpg. Haha. If you rehear it also helps bring the gear ratio specs back to normal, you will pick up MPG again instead of losing them to bigger tires.
Nice truck... I have a 2018 1500 Outdoorsman with a 6" lift. Still get 15ish on the highway and towing a 5,000lb travel trailer is about 9.5mpg with a 3.92 rear end. 11 mpg seems extremely low. If you get a 6" lift and tow you'll need some Timbrens or sumo bump stops because the squat is worse with the lift.
Did u replace the shocks in the front also when u out the leveling kit? I have a R.C. 6in lift and was thinkin of doing the same but everyone is a truck lift expert and say it throws off the angle? 🤷🏻♂️ I have 20x14 on 35s
Good looking truck! Great review. I have the 2012 outdoorsman and am looking for a 6 lift kit. your info will be very useful. Plus, dealer I go to, tells me I can't keep the leveling kit.... which I am not a fan to remove because I want to keep that steady look! anyway, very nice setting!
hey man i just re read your comment. id tell the dealer to kick rocks if he told me i cant keep the leveling kit. thats crazy talk. they are there to cater to you!
the kits will lift and level your truck you will not need the leveling kit. actually rough country is 4 in rear 6 in the front and says that using a leveling kit with the lift can cause a failure. and its kinda funny I heard the molar 4 inch kit is the rough country kit so rough country can't be to bad
thanks for the feedback bro! man those toreds are really nice trucks. would definitely lift it if i were you. id appreciate it if you subscribe to my channel and ill return the favor!
Yessir. That's how you get it to sit dead level. They might make a lift kit that does the same but most lift kits wont make your truck sit level. Some ppl like that look. I dont
CoryBrothers that would be a 8.5 inch lift then... lift kits are calculated at the front, not the rear, i haven't seen a kit that doesn't sit level, they usually raise the front 6" and the rear 3" (some kits you can opt for a 5" in the rear to keep the factory rake, but it's an option). judging from the video this looks like a 6" front/3" rear (like most kits). besides, lift kits usually consist of shock spacers in the front, i highly doubt the shop you went to put a spacer on top of a spacer, that wouldn't be a very bright idea.
the tires in this vid are 37s. I got rid of them and put 35s. 37s were WAY too big and slowed the truck down significantly. 35s are still pretty big but looked so much better and didn't put as much of a load on the truck
Man ive been through 2 trucks since this one lol. A few months after this video i went back to the shop that did the install and they retorqued everything and i had zero issues with it. Also down sized my tires to 35s and it made a huge difference
I have a ram 2007 mega cab... 35" tires....gonna get a 6" lift but don't have a clue which kit to buy. Just really want it for a great look. Can you help with some advice.
Joey Garza honestly I just talked to my local off-road shop. I didn't want the cheapest one I could buy and I couldn't afford the most expensive so I just aimed for the middle. They will give you options. I know several other ppl who have a pro comp lift like mine and they're all happy with it
Yea 14 meens wider ...you want 20×10 rims ...once the tires are on it'll be 12 inch wide that's perfect...you can get 20×12 ...then the tires will stick out about 4inches instead of 2 inches with 20×10..aggressive look !
Could you Give me the overall height of the truck (cab ) cuz i got a similar ram 2013 and am just on the fence on doing this 6 inch kit and i hope it enters my 7 fr garage
ok so i just measured it. it looks like its right at 7ft. im 6'6" and its several inches above my head so id say its not looking good if youre wanting to fit it in your garage but honestly i wouldnt let that stop me from getting what i wanted. unless you live near a mountain with frequent falling rocks just park it outside!
Won't fit we built our garage around lifted vehicles it also helps sell....our prior house garage fit my long bed Cummins 8 inch lift on 37s new owners had a 4 inch excursion and said it was the selling point to the house to hide everything lock down when they traveled.
I just lifted my 2017 Ram Limited has 7.5 Zone lift on a 3 inch body on 40x14.50R22x12-44 so pertty colse to siting at 12 with the tries. Gets 16mpg....
20×10 rims on 33's or better yet 35's would of had a better look..get a big brake setup...and a programmer to adjust the mph for for the large tires...
man i apologies for not following through on that video. tell you what, if the weather permits, ill do the video tomorrow and upload it asap. thank you so much for watching and please subscribe!
Rough Country is crappy!? I didn't need a piece of shit leveling kit on my Rough Country! It sits dead level. I think you bought a piece of shit Pro Comp lift kit. Or Bubba the mechanic that installed it wrong? Really nuts missing on the bolts? I think you and Bubba both are missing some nuts!!
Bill Peirce and that's why I love "my buddy" stories... mainly because you or your buddy is completely full of shit. I'm gonna go ahead and say you're in high school?
What ever. But u are. Dodge 1500's get 22 to 23 mpg. U will not loose that much mpg buy doing a lift and bigger tires. He got a lemon. Believe what u want. This is the only vedio I hv seen that the dodge 1500 hemi got this bad of mpg. I hv seen 100 of vedios pluss drove them. So what ever.
does your truck sit level right now? if not, then YES you need a 2 1/2 inch leveling kit. if i didnt need the leveling kit and put it on anyway, my truck would be 2 inches higher in the front end right now
Tommy Gun i bought the zone off road six inch lift and it was level procomp may sell there lifts based on the way its sits now the front and back is going up six inches keeping the factory rake zone and most kits your going up six in front in my case 3 inches in the back giving you a leveled truck
I ended up getting the k2084bmx with adjustable coil overs and mx6 adjustable struts. They installed the lift and raised the front coil overs and the truck sits perfectly level now
Rough Country 6 inch lift is a great kit bud. I also have that on my Dodge Ram 1500 and it rides fabulously. 😊
Rough country isn’t a crappy lift .
I have one and it was installed properly and it looks and rides fabulously 😊
I just found this video, im doing a 6 " zone lift...as to fuel eco...fixed that with a tuner also depends on HOW you drive...Brakes i ordered a set of EBC truck tow rotors and pads so thats taken care of. Man great video! Thanks for the pros and cons because your video is the first I seen that talks about that!
What’s your MPG like?
Did you regear you're truck?
Have you regeared it ?
Rough country isn't junk you just paid more for the same lift
Noah Phillips Why would you make a comment about something you clearly don't know much about? Ignorance?
Noah Phillips I agreee I have one and it's fucking awesome..
Exactly
i realize it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to watch newly released movies online ?
@Wilson Deshawn i use Flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
My rear trac bar nuts keep coming loose no matter I keep taking it back to the shop
Any suggestions 2017 ram 1500 with the zone kit
I went with a BDS 6 inch lift I didn’t have to put a level on the front it was that even. Check it out on the channel.
I have a 2017 mine has a 10 inch on 40x14.50R24x14
Rough country is good lift it just doesn't have smooth ride but it is well built
Awesome truck! How much did everything cost?
the lift was like 1200 and the tires were an even 1000 so 22-2300 total
thanks for the tips!!
I've heard when you're upgrading to bigger wheels you have to lower the gear ratio to the diff in order have proper acceleration.
Will 17’s fit ?
You stacked the leveling kit with the lift? Does it bump steer or have any bad angles on the cvs and control arms?
That’s why I want to put my lift on my self because I don’t trust those shops
Are the tires loud when going down the road?
Thank you for your honesty
Nice truck... I have a 2018 1500 Outdoorsman with a 6" lift. Still get 15ish on the highway and towing a 5,000lb travel trailer is about 9.5mpg with a 3.92 rear end. 11 mpg seems extremely low. Naw man never replaced the shocks unless they came with the lift that was installed... come to think of it I have no idea lol. Good question!
Your truck looks awesome bro..and thanks for the info..do you get any vibration at high speed?
Good video
Good looking truck! Great review. I have the 2012 outdoorsman and am looking for a 6 lift kit. your info will be very useful. Plus, dealer I go to, tells me I can't keep the leveling kit.... which I am not a fan to remove because I want to keep that steady look! anyway, very nice setting!
thanks for the feedback bro. give me a sub if you liked the vid!!
hey man i just re read your comment. id tell the dealer to kick rocks if he told me i cant keep the leveling kit. thats crazy talk. they are there to cater to you!

If I’m getting a 6in lift should I get 5” shocks in the back to even it out and make it look leveled
I can't say about the shocks. I just bought a whole kit and used everything it came with. Id call your local custom shop and ask them
thanks for the vid bro, info was very useful. I have a 2016 torred sport and im thinking of lifting mine alil bit. nice truck bro.
thanks for the feedback bro! man those toreds are really nice trucks. would definitely lift it if i were you. id appreciate it if you subscribe to my channel and ill return the favor!
Ok bro
thanks for honesty and info.well done
So you did a 6 inch lift and added 2&1/2 spacer on the front on top do the 6 inch lift.
Yessir. That's how you get it to sit dead level. They might make a lift kit that does the same but most lift kits wont make your truck sit level. Some ppl like that look. I dont
Right on brotha. Now I know for when I get the lift for my 2011. Thank you.

What size are the tires I'm trying to get some
the tires in this vid are 37s. I got rid of them and put 35s. 37s were WAY too big and slowed the truck down significantly. 35s are still pretty big but looked so much better and didn't put as much of a load on the truck
Well how has it been going with the level added to the lift any issues ?
Man ive been through 2 trucks since this one lol. A few months after this video i went back to the shop that did the install and they retorqued everything and i had zero issues with it. Also down sized my tires to 35s and it made a huge difference
Lol cool thanks for response 😎
I have a ram 2007 mega cab...
35" tires....gonna get a 6" lift but don't have a clue which kit to buy.
Just really want it for a great look.
Can you help with some advice.

Hey just watched this. Did you do the lift kit install? Was it difficult?
no i didnt. in the video i talked about how the shop that installed it did a sub par job and i had to bring it back several times to get it right
I'm pretty sure (like 10000000% sure) rough country is top of the line!
OVER-CLOCKED NOOB ok 👍
Clean truck. I'm jamming a 6" in my rebel this week. Fk ram air suspension man. Don't ever buy it in cold climates 🤣
Apparently RC will not work with 2 piece driveshaft according to RC rep
Nicely done looks great 👍
Who cares about gas mileage when your riding high .. 😜
Nice Ram!
Hey man I have to questions can you help me ....20x12 rims vs 20x14 what's the difference is the 14 wider ? And will a 36x15.50 fit with some trimming
Yea 14 meens wider ...you want 20×10 rims ...once the tires are on it'll be 12 inch wide that's perfect...you can get 20×12 ...then the tires will stick out about 4inches instead of 2 inches with 20×10..aggressive look !
That cat look real good under that truck yo.
Could you Give me the overall height of the truck (cab ) cuz i got a similar ram 2013 and am just on the fence on doing this 6 inch kit and i hope it enters my 7 fr garage

Did you adjust gears or CV angles?
I got a 2021 6.4 Laramie hemi 2500 has a 12inch lift on 44s
How much was the lift
zacatecas 1 installed it was a little over $2k but I also got them to swap my wheels and tires. I thought it was fair
How tall does your truck stand?
just over 7 foot
Wait so its a 6in lift plus a 2.5 in leveling spacer
Yes just to level out the front
@@kneestothechin ok thanx !!
@@kneestothechin what leveling kit did u use exactly?? i have a procomp lift on my ram and the negative rake drives me crazy
How come on RC page it says you have to have a 20 inch wheel
not a clue bro. mines a pro comp and i do just fine with 18s
CoryBrothers yea it’s always thrown me off in why you had to put a bigger wheel
20×10 rims on 33's or better yet 35's would of had a better look..get a big brake setup...and a programmer to adjust the mph for for the large tires...
Nah
nice truck should I cut some stuff down there ??
ummm... not sure what you mean
When you gonna unload a vid with the 35??

thanks for the feedback man... might just do an update vid today. do me a favor and subscribe to my channel and ill return the favor. thanks again!
U are doing something wrong.
My buddy has a 8" lift with 37"tires. And he is getting 18 to 20 mpg depending on his driving.
Bill Peirce lol he's probably either got a diesel or an upgraded rear end. I love these "my buddy" stories. Sounds totally legit.
CoryBrothers nope.
He has the dodge 1500 5.7 l hemi
Bill Peirce and that's why I love "my buddy" stories... mainly because you or your buddy is completely full of shit. I'm gonna go ahead and say you're in high school?

I got the same truck and just bought pro comp 6 inch k2084b and 4 wheel parts said it would be level so wtf. your sure I need a leveling kit
does your truck sit level right now? if not, then YES you need a 2 1/2 inch leveling kit. if i didnt need the leveling kit
and put it on anyway, my truck would be 2 inches higher in the front end right now

My understanding is a ProComp 6” lift if actually a 6”in front and a 4” in the back. To get it level
Not supposed to stack lifts. Terrible advice
David Kay well I and many other people have, and it's worked out just fine salty guy
CoryBrothers throws off the angles
Lol ok
ok when your shit fails and everyone else's they can sue u for the advice so have a nice day
You and stack kits you just have to do the coilover and thwn you can put a leveling kit
ya fuck 11mpg i get 14 as is haha
congratulations
TEAR ALL THAT SHIT OFF. GO GET A 4 INCH BDS... PROBLE S SOLVED GO TO NEG 18 WHEEL.......
Pro comp is Garbage
Feel better?
