I like the idle sound of a raging beast growling at pit stops during the 1980's, and the sound of the early 2000's approaching 20000rpm just before the rpm limit is imposed.
The former has an impressive explosive after-fire, and the latter is even if the explosion intervals are different, a real screamer.
And what is especially great, the V12 is an instrument composed of profound chords.

You forgot the original V6 turbo F1 cars from the early 1980s, they produced nearly 1500hp, didn't sound as good as the V10s or V12 bit they definitely sound cool and way better than the modern cars
