You’re the man Matt. Thanks for making the concept of hitting simple.
Such great instruction. Don't understand why so many softball coaches and former players are stuck in the past with the wrong mechanics. This is how you swing if you want to play at an elite level.
Good stuff . Thanks bud.
Nice! Your making me wanna try this 😄 ! I also subscribed
Hi Matt, I appreciate your videos. Could you develop a video and or tell me how to use this swing on high pitches? High and in, high outside, etc. Thank you.
Is this technique used for slo pitch or fast pitch softball
Thank you. Time to pass this to my 6y/o daughter
Is there a drill/s that promote that move?
Do you do hitting classes?
Hello Matt, how is rolling the barrel affective in softball with the angle of the pitch? Or even when facing a rise ball.
Hey Matt, Great video! Love your baseball content and just discovered your softball channel tonight! Q: I’ve been working with my daughter for a few years now. She had a bat drag problem so after some research I found Rich Lovell (Great guy btw) and the Epstein Hitting System. I seemed to correct her bat drag issue (at least during BP) but in doing so, it looks like her bat path may not be getting in the zone soon enough. If I understand Epstein’s philosophy, he recommends keeping the barrel tight/close to the deltoid as you rotate the shoulders keeping elbows equidistant. This definitely creates a lot of lag but it kinda resembles the approach you said needs correcting. So, just wondering if you’re familiar with the system and if I’m just applying it wrong. Maybe it’s just a matter of shoulder tilt to stay on plain this way. I’m so paranoid about her dumping the barrel and dragging again but I like your method of staying in the zone longer. I have information overload! Any help greatly appreciated!
let me see you hit a fungo with that
wow- turn the barrel - what an absolute pile of GARBAGE..
