K66 owner here. Switched from a blackwidow chroma v2. Very happy for the most part. Did not think about the future of my keyboard addication but this has been a great gateway. definitely have purchased custom key caps and but the K66 does make it harder with non standard keycaps, south facing LED's and mu board happened to be soldered (something which I understand is contigent on which seller you buy it from). But overall cannot fault this keyboard, was definitely an opportunity for me to dip my toes into this rather niche market. Would def recommend to someone as a first budget mech keyboard but maybe not beyond that (other than rgb factor).
I'm actually going to buy this as my first keyboard and swap out the switches for lubed gateron yellows. I am really excited to finally use a mechanical keyboard edit: it arrived and I'm very happy with it
This board with lubed gat yellow is a strong combo. Gat yellow never fail me. Just saying, the key to true greatness are from the stabilizer lubing process and how to dampen the howling space
@@o0mcck0o This kb actually has really good acoustics compared to almost all other budget kb's because of its layered acrylic design. You can add a thin layer of foam to make it fantastic but it's great out of the box. This is BY FAR the best value KB ever made overall and there's nothing else that really comes close
How long/difficult would it be to lube gat yellows and fix the stabilizers? This might be my first mechanical keyboard but I want it to be a great one too
@@iMANT22 Lubing the stabs along with clipping and band-aid modding is really easy and doesn't take long at all. Now, lubing all the switches will take time. It's not a particularly hard task it just takes a long time, I'd say 2-3 hours depending how slow you are, I wouldn't recommend going fast if it's your first time. The stabs need the most attention, do you have discord?

The reason why typing in Korean is faster because the Korean keyboard layout is made so that you type on one side and then the other side repeatedly. And also because :3ildcat's probably Korean

This keyboard is awesome, but I feel like the way they did the lighting controls is strange. I love the color picker on the k66 and how you can dim the whole keyboard at the same time rather than just the inside. Also, great video!
I also suggest people who are buying this keyboard to put extra bumpons on the middle, the keyboard when stock only has bumpons for 4 corners, and after a month of using it the middle started sagging.
wow i love the frosted case to how the RGB looks, i have my light off most of the time so i'd just gaze at the glorious light show *if i had this* keyboard deff a consideration for next keyboard for sure!

I guess the main draw of this vs the Womier K66 is this one has a dedicated F key row, and also home and printscreen keys.
