I love the previous 14g Hankeys, I bought the silver ones a year ago on sale for 20€ (22-23$!) at a local shop. Imagine that, a rare dart that went out of production, still available retail, in original packaging, on sale. These are a nice modern twist on that dart. Anyway, Merry Christmas dude, glad to see some content around the holiday period, really enjoying it :)
@@WorldwideDarts they didn't even take the logo off half the time! I was late at the party for those 4 packs.. and thanks to your videos I believe RD at one point realized they were underselling them :P I think the best 4packs were sent early on.

I have thrown these for about 4 months now give it take, I use extra small black ally stems and have fitted some slightly longer coiled points. Love how evil they look. Would upload a picture if I knew how 🤣👍 great review as always WWD keep it up
They look really nice all black 😉👌 I had some of the proline onyx darts and I gave them.to.my friend as they scuffed up, through grouping. They looked mega old after 2 weeks of practice. Puts me off any type of onyx coating etc now. 🙈
Yeah, that's the problem with black darts, they look great out of the package but no so great 2 weeks later. I'd rather see these in a natural tungsten

Just wish to make a interesting point (pun not intended) but DYK that Dennis Priestley threw a 12 gram dart in his playing days? I like Ted's darts too I have a set of his originals and the feel is incredible. Winmau do make excellent darts imo. Great video :)
Yes, Dennis is one of my all time favorites and I happen to have a set of his VERY rare darts on the way. I met him back in 1996 and played cribbage with him back in the hotel room. Great guy. This is a set of his 15g darts he sent me... imgur.com/8HqlZHM
When I first started really playing darts I didn’t have a clue on what weight to get. Everything I read said 21 to 24 grams is the most common. Me being “a big strong man” went with 24. They felt so heavy and I hated them. I started buying 1 gram lighter, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, in that order over the next few months. 18 and 19 grams are my favorite and throwing them feels much easier then heavier darts. Getting sub 20g darts isn’t easy so I have 5 sets of soft tip darts with conversion points and a little tungsten putty to get them to 18 or 19 grams. 18 or 19 gram slightly front loaded barrels, medium shafts, kite flight, and a point with some grip at the base is my recipe for the perfect dart.
I just noticed the screen name. A couple weeks ago my Backfire Zealot composite was delivered. So much fun! I've already ridden about 140 miles. Have you ever looked at Darts Corner for lighter darts? Seems to be quite a few sub 20g
@@WorldwideDarts the zealot is a sweet ride, expensive but it’s nice. I’m in SoCal in the hills so we mostly do downhill. The wives and girlfriends drive us to the top of the mountain and follow us down while we shred. My current ride is a landyachtz switchblade. I recently started using darts corner but before that I was using Amazon. Amazon didn’t have many light darts so I was just buying soft tip and converting them.
@@MrLongboarder87 Wow! You guys must be hitting some high speeds then? I was just watching a video this morning of a longboarder hitting a world record 89.41mph blasting down a mountainside. Absolutely insane! I've only been riding a couple weeks but I'm starting to feel comfortable already. I use my e-board for transportation around town here. Bank runs, post office, dr appointments, gym, etc... Everything is within a couple miles so it's perfect for me. Well as long as it's dry out. Sooo much fun though. I wish I would have started sooner.
@@WorldwideDarts when we were younger we would just bomb the hill and try to go as fast as possible, pass cars on the wrong side of the road, lots a road rash in those days. We are all in our 30s now so we’ve slowed down, more carving and power slides.
A great looking dart , but that transition of free flo tip and the barrel is so satisfying .. I have a question though, are you still gonna follow the house rule? NO PAINTED DARTS ? 😂😂 .. nice video though WWD
I kind of felt that the dart weight had something to do with Ryan Searle's performance tailing off in the last couple of sets when he lost to Gary Anderson at this years worlds. Imagine throwing 32g bombs for 7 sets of darts.
That was amazing! When I said "exceptions" I was thinking of him. He was bashing in a crazy amount of 180's with those tanks. Just unreal. But then the wheels fell completely off.
The Unicorn ones didn't fit as they were too wide. So I made my own using 100% tungsten welding rods. Then packed them tight with Pinewood derby tungsten putty. You don't want to use fishing putty as it's too sticky. Pinewood derby stuff is dry like Play-Doh
I know you couldn't use them and your videos are packed with information but I have a set of harrows tornado 2 that the inserts would fit. I could stick to the tungsten putty I have in them but I thought about using the inserts. Thanks for making your videos as you do most other review channels are boring

Hello , i need your suggesstion, im using 18 gram winmau vendetta steel tip darts ,and have 2 sets of them ,barrel weights of them nearly 18.15 ,other is 17.84 and using medium shaft standart flight , but problem is i throw fast , and darts not going to straight ,and which equipment do you suggest for fast throwing? Especially for the 18 grams light darts?and may i learn which stem length do you use on this video ?Thank you very much

It's holding up okay. I play a TON of long format 501 and the board has just completed one full rotation. To be fair I should be rotating even more than I did. It's a decent board though.
Love these, have them myself but only used it less then a week since the black coating was totally gone. Same with other darts using the same type of barrel coating.

100% agree on searle darts heavy. I think also why King struggled is weight he gained. And why bunting played better weight he lost

I use a #3 Cosmo stem. I'd recommend you try a smaller flight and see what happens.

Normally a #3 locked but for this video it was a set of #5's.
