I didn't realize how much Josh was really flexing his lyrical capabilities with this track till I saw the subtitles. Goddamn that's impressive. Cool vid too
They have always taken pride in their music vids. Only one they absolutely hated was in my head. Josh left before end of shooting.

The visuals are absolutely perfect for this track. Wasn't my favorite on the album at all, but I admit it's grown on me.

It's such a Queens song, and a definite Oingo Boingo influenced track. I've heard someone say the obvious Dead Kennedys, but DK was very influenced by music like Oingo.
Blah... Not to mention lyrical masterpiece as usual from Homme. Though I'm definitely getting the vibe that Michael Shuman collaborates on lyrics with Josh these days. Because Shuman was part of some of the best lyrical content I've seen in the past 15 years with his Mini Mansions work.
Always love seeing Jon in some of my favorite bands' videos. Also, I have yet to hear the whole album (I just recently finished listening to Like Clockwork, my only full-length I've listened to from QOTSA as of now), but if this is one of the worse songs from the record, I guarantee I'll like Villains more. Plus, it's a dance rock album from what I hear, and Like Clockwork was a slow-tempoed album that wasn't quite my cup of tea.
If anyone needs further proof that this album is different than anything QotSA's ever done before, here you go. But this isn't a bad thing. Villains is an awesome album.

Dave grohl himself said that Queens of the Stone Age is so good that watching them play, and listening to the music, it's just unfair to other musicians. When the lead singer of one of the biggest bands in the world, who is also one of the greatest living drummers on the planet, says that another band is greater than his own, and so good that watching them perform just feels like there's no way that they could even compete with that band, says huge, huge, huge amount about the band in question... Queens of the Stone Age is one of the greatest rock bands of all time, and may even be THE, overall, greatest rock band of all time...

I loved Like Clockwork as well as much of this album. I think Like Clockwork had a better overall album cohesion but this album has some great jams on it. And I can't wait for the new album.
