I know people say this movie is dumb and stupid, but it’s thanks to the humor of this film that the still-growing relationship I have with my girlfriend was able to bloom. We met on Xbox about 7 years ago, but didn’t get to meet face-to-face until a few years later. She was so shy and nervous, and honestly I was too, but thankfully this movie was playing on the TV and we spent the rest of the evening laughing our butts off and just having a grand time. 4 years later, we finally moved in and have been living together for over a year now. Corny as it may be, but that’s the truth of it. And I’ve been happier all the better.
Fantasy baseball, or any kind of fantasy sport, is just a fun way for you and your friends to pretend like you manage a team in whatever sport you’re interested in. Some people play just for fun, and then there’s people that play for money if there’s a set buy-in to play. Basically you get a group of 8-12 people, pick a draft day and set the order in which who will pick from first to last, and on draft day everyone chooses professional players; round to round until you’ve built your team’s roster, and once your roster is full of starters and backups your dream team, or "fantasy" as Dale puts it, is complete. Then you wait for the actual sports season to begin and your fantasy team will win or lose every week depending on how the players on your team are playing in real-life games throughout the season. In the end it’s basically just a fun way to talk shit to your friends because they know less than you do about the particular sport that you’re all into. Thank you Simone and George for listening to my ramblings on this great American pastime. (bows)
Fantasy Football for money is the entire reason I cannot stand football. I live with friends and all I ever hear is how so and so has not paid their dues. It makes me want to go to a sports store and slash every single football and jersey available.

Adam Scott DID play a demon in The Good Place! Highly recommend the series if you haven’t seen it. Adam Scott is such a great actor, please check out Severance and Party Down! Party Down in particular is such a funny, under appreciated series.
The deleted/extended scenes are fantastic as well....."Hulk Hands". One of the things that makes it work so well with the main characters being so outrageous is the fact that everyone else in the movie is a mess too.
Fantasy sports is just a way for people to get really competitive with their friends or random “leagues” online. Basically you build a team by doing draft picks, then throughout the season you keep up with how that player is doing as far as their statistics. Then by the end of the season whoever has the best team statistically speaking is the winner. That’s my understanding of fantasy sports at least
Adam Scott (Derek) is one of the funniest actors but more well known for television. I loved him in Parks and Rec, The Good Place, and Party Down. He’s also a great dramatic actor, Severance is a fantastic show that he stars in currently.
Richard Jenkins who plays Robert (the dad) also plays dahmers father in the Netflix series “dahmer” When my boys and I watched dahmer, there’s a scene where Richard Jenkins is watching the news coverage of dahmers crimes in his living room. He gets up to turn the tv off and I say “I’m going to the Cheesecake Factory, gonna get myself a drink” and my bud next to me says “THATS WHERE IVE SEEN HIM! Hell yeah! “
Fantasy League sports is essentially D&D for jocks. Based off of actually game stats. A group of "deffidently not nerdy" guys make an imaginary team drafting actual players and instead of rolling dice they use in-game statistics to determine how well their team is doing. There is usually a buy in and a cash prize for the person who's team has the best stat increases at the end of season.
Fantasy is a group activity where players form a league of "teams" composed of "drafted" pro athletes for different positions from the sport and scoring is based on week to week performance through the actual season.

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story is a must for John C Reilly comedies. If you can handle the runtime, watch the extended edition. However, you may want to first watch some musician biopics, especially Walk the Line, as it spoofs from it a lot.
I don't know why, but Symone I'm always delighted when you make that graceful little two-handed gesture during the patreon content plug. (Obviously you know what to do with your hands, unlike Ricky Bobby)
If you haven't seen "Walk Hard" with John C Reilly playing the main character without any co-lead, you will see that honestly, IMO, he is the better comic actor of the two. Also, you should see the "pow" dude(Rob Riggle) in 21 Jump Street and it's sequel. He shines in the smaller roles, I think he would be too annoying to be a lead character.
Great reaction CineBinge. Hopefully, in the near future you two will react to Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. It star's John C Reily parodying Johnny Cash! It's a hilarious film I think you two will both enjoy!
YAY!! This is one of my favorite movies!! It makes me laugh so much every time and there is pretty much always some little thing that i notice anew each time. Also I believe you watched an extended version, there were some extra scenes in here not in the original cut. Hey George ""It's all slippery!". Also something funny i learned is that Everyone thought of Mary Steenburgenas so innocent so they would add lines into the movie just to make her say F*&k. So the scene where the guys are fighting thin the front yard, they added her say "What the F*&king F*&k! " not because it was great for the scene, but just because they thought it was funny to make her say it. Which turned out pretty funny too. Thanks for reacting you two are the best!
Everyone is so good in this movie. Every single character just destroys it. That is why it is so famous even now. The supporting actors are phenomenal.
16:22 It's funny you say he is like the devil, because Adam Scott plays essentially the same character in _The Good Place,_ and that character is essentially the devil.
4:27 fantasy sports is simple to understand, im in a fantasy football league, so basically you’re the General Manager, and during the actual sports draft, you draft players to your team to make up the amount required for a team. And with Football, you draft Quarterbacks, Runningbacks, wide receivers, tight ends, kickers and an entire defense. You points, is based off how that player does on the field, each game, for example one of my QBs is Kirk Cousins, he played for 364 passing yards, and had 4 touchdowns, I got 28.56 points off him, your points are based off how well your team does. It’s actually a really fun time
It’s basically an older rated version of elf. They even have Mar Steinbergen as the mother and the guy is like a carbon copy of James Caan. Same premise just kicked up a notch.
Baseball, basketball, and football are the three popular sports that people do fantasy leagues for. You can do it with friends or strangers. It’s usually a league with 8, 10, or 12 teams. You get to create a team name. You either do an automatic draft or live draft where you compete with the other people in the league to draft real life professional players to build your own team. If it’s baseball, you will draft one starter for each hitting position then draft like 8-12 pitchers. Usually you have a few players on the bench. It varies how many players you can draft per team but it’s not a crazy high amount. So this is how the game works:When the real life games take place in real life, however those players do statistically during those games, you get points for. The better they do, the more points you get. You get points for certain real life statistics from the game, like for baseball the stats that are kept track of are: batting average, home runs, stolen bases, RBIs, runs, pitching wins, losses, strikeouts, ERA, saves. You get certain points for each category depending on how you stack up against the others. You compete against the other players using the real life professional sports scheduled games and so when the season is over then the fantasy sports is over.

Adam Scott (Derek) is one of the funniest actors but more well known for television. I loved him in Parks and Rec, The Good Place, and Party Down. He’s also a great dramatic actor, Severance is a fantastic show that he stars in currently.
Richard Jenkins who plays Robert (the dad) also plays dahmers father in the Netflix series “dahmer”
When my boys and I watched dahmer, there’s a scene where Richard Jenkins is watching the news coverage of dahmers crimes in his living room. He gets up to turn the tv off and I say “I’m going to the Cheesecake Factory, gonna get myself a drink” and my bud next to me says “THATS WHERE IVE SEEN HIM! Hell yeah! “
I can literally quote the whole movie line for line, that's how many times I've watched it. Definitely one of my favorite movies.
"Tonight at the Cheesecake Factory was the happiest I've been in months," is one of the funniest lines in this movie, just so great.
"I'm burying you." is just comedy gold.
"That was about the fighting, I am so NOT a raper!" Hahahaha this movie is insane
Who wants to tell George that Brontosaurus got the Pluto treatment?
Brachiosaurus 🦕🦕 now
Paleontologists reinstated Brontosaurus almost a decade ago after new fossil discoveries in 2015 had them reclassify a couple Apatosaurus species as Brontosauri along with a new third Brontosaurus species.
@@brownstarslotsThat’s a completely different dinosaur.
Another great Katherine Hahn role is in The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard. also has the best Will Ferrell cameo of all time.
Wedding Crashers for Will cameo
I’m sure there are families dealing with this very issue. I love the reactions from Richard Jenkins and Mary Steenbergen. Just priceless:)
You left out the best line…”I traveled 500 miles to give you my seed! Therapist; “Lumber Jack!?” Followed by the scream. One of my favorite comedies great pick.
Man I hope patreon gets around to Dewey Cox: Walk Hard, John C Reilly is amazing
I always notice myself going back to watch this movie every so often. The comedy. The story. It just makes me laugh alot. So glad you guys got around to watching this, I know I'm gonna enjoy this reaction so much 💯🖤
18:15 that's love right there
You have to watch Walk Hard with John C. Reily, its just as good. "Wrong kid died!"
If you want more John C. Reilly, one of my favorites is Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007) a parody of Walk the Line (2005)
I saw Will Ferrell in an interview and he brought a small box for “show and tell”.
Inside the box was the prop “nut sack” that he used in this movie.
Not real. 😂Great reaction!
When you wake up for work at 4am going to bed at 8:43pm is late.
Great comedy! Absolutely love this movie! And can I just add, I appreciate George and Simone using their natural hair for the thumbnail.
The F'n Catalina Wine Mixer!!
Oh, that's another great one. John C Reilly is known for comedy, but one of his earlier roles is in a depressing movie, "What's Eating Gilbert Grape"
You guys should check out Grandma's Boy and Better Off Dead. For some forgotten movies, check out 3 O'Clock High, My Best Friend is a Vampire, and A Guide For the Married Man. All hilarious
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story is a must for John C Reilly comedies. If you can handle the runtime, watch the extended edition. However, you may want to first watch some musician biopics, especially Walk the Line, as it spoofs from it a lot.
To be honest, the crossing of streams was a regular thing when I was a kid.
Someone once said I was this childish but I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not I SAID IM NOT CHILDISH!
I don't know why, but Symone I'm always delighted when you make that graceful little two-handed gesture during the patreon content plug. (Obviously you know what to do with your hands, unlike Ricky Bobby)
It's slippery was probably the hardest I ever laughed watching a reaction video!😂
14:50 There's the Director Adam Mckay. Also did both Anchromans, talladega nights and the Other guys.
Fantasy football, baseball, etc is basically D&D for sports fans.
I'd love to see them watch that. I just wonder how much of it they can show cause of all the copyright music
John C Riley is HILARIOUS in Walk Hard
"Sweet Child O' Mine." 🎶 LOL!
"I'll kill you, Leonard Nimoy!" is so random.....
One of my favorite movies of all time and Katherine Hahn is the mvp for me she is so funny it kills me lol.
It’s funny how punch able Derek is but how lovable Ben is on Parks and Rec
Everyone is so good in this movie. Every single character just destroys it. That is why it is so famous even now. The supporting actors are phenomenal.
For some reason I thought Simone and George already watched this or I watch too many reaction videos and can't keep up who's watching what :D
16:22 It's funny you say he is like the devil, because Adam Scott plays essentially the same character in _The Good Place,_ and that character is essentially the devil.
Also the stepfather of the antichrist in "Little Evil", which was a fun movie from memory.
Katherine Hahn is great in this. She is also great in The Goods starring Jeremy Piven and Ving Rhames.
Fun fact Will Ferrell kept the fake balls he used to rub on the drum set after filming the movie. He is my hero haha
Noticed when Mary Steenbergen was holding the hose she laughed
"Stay golden ponyboy" is a reference to The Outsiders. A good movie featuring the Brat Pack you should add to the list.
It’s actually a really fun time
You MUST watch "Walk Hard" with John C Reilly.
You're both on a roll with these great hits. Keep 'em coming.
bahahaha So many lines I quote at appropriate times I had forgot where from Step Brothers "I can taste it"
It’s basically an older rated version of elf. They even have Mar Steinbergen as the mother and the guy is like a carbon copy of James Caan. Same premise just kicked up a notch.
Brennan saying he's going to put his ball sack on the drumset is all fun and games until he actually does it xD
Adam Scott can play a huge nerd and bully. Great range.
I love this movie so much that I named my cat Dale.
It was Dan Quayle, vice president to Bush Senior, who couldn’t spell potato(e).
