Same anchorman got caught in a strip club one night and caused a local scandal, and a different anchor one night didn't say his name in the open because it was blank on the teleprompter. Good times.

This is one of those movies that just gets funnier with repeated viewings. When I first saw it in the theater, I didn't really get it, it just seemed like the actors adlibbing a bunch of random stuff. But it made me laugh more with each viewing and now it's one of my all-time favorite comedies.
Oh my God.. I feel the exact same. I saw the movie as soon as it came out cause I liked Will Ferrell, but felt absolutely nothing. I just thought at the time that the movie was that bad. Very interesting....when I saw the 2x2x2 "Rubik's" cube, I just had to look it up and prove to myself that it wasn't even invented yet, since Erno Rubik invented the 3x3x3 cube in 1974. Very surprised to find out the 2x2 was invented in 1970 by Larry D. Nicholas, so GOOD JOB MOVIE!
