Here is a common misunderstanding ( even you said it) that you only become British citizen when you have your British passport, which is not correct. You become British citizen the day you receive your naturalisation certificate. Passport is just a travel document and has nothing to do with your citizenship.
Seems you are wrong advising that on ILR you can be outside of UK and just come to visit. People are having their ILRs revoked if they only come to the UK to visit but in reality live somewhere else.
With ILR you can get visa on arrival from countries like UAE...you can also work for Govt companies in the U.K. like MOD as they specifically mention in the job adverts that candidates from the commonwealth countries can apply for the roles...
Moreover you are entitled to all benefits in the U.K. if you have at least have an ILR.... the one advantage that you have with British passport when you travel to India is that you don’t have to wait in a very long queue at the Indian immigration to get out of there.. you get a fast service with a BP😂😂😂😂
Useful ILR info, Can you please let know allowed gap days within year. Hope 10year continous stay can include total of 180days within a 12month period (with travels UK within those 180days).
only benefit you get of british passport is visa free travel and govt and defence jobs. 90% people don’t have fortune to roam around the whole every month.
I clicked your video to know the benefits of ILR but your whole video was all the advantages of British passport. Is there any video that cover that part because I dont want to give away my origin passport. thanks
There is not much to add for ILR benefit : 1.no sponsorship needed to work in the U.K. 2.get access to public services 3.reside in U.K. permanently Few additional countries u can travel if u have ILR without needing to apply visa .
Hi, How the duration for applying ILR is calculated? Is it based on the application submission date or the date received on BRP. Because initially BRP was received after 3 months of application submission and a mistake was noticed in end date and went for appeal, then again it took 2 months for getting the BRP delivered with correct end date. So now how to calculate the duration. Thanks
Well, isn’t that a fun twist on international law! If only passports were magical keys to any land one desires, and the Republic of Ireland was just another room in the grand British house. But, alas, passports are just travel documents and Ireland is its own country, not a British territory. Who would’ve guessed? 🤷♂️

Hi hope you are doing well. I have a curiosity regarding the ILR procedure. While living in the UK on a skilled worker visa, when should someone apply for ILR? Can someone be able to apply for the ILR only after 5 years?
Dont be silly, ILR doesnt expire. only if you leave UK for more than 2 years, used deception in gaining it or end up getting a serious criminal record. That december date is the expiry date of the card not ILR.
British citizenship are the correct words and you cannot get a British passport without the citizenship. Also republic of Ireland is not a British territory; It is an independent EU country

That said, public financial resources will soon be reduced for those on IRL. The UK are finally realising they can't offer financial support to the world (and why should they), especially whilst immigrant channel crossings continue and drain the governments purse. This has contributed to public funding being well in to the 'red' and for the moment at least, ECHR has tied the governments' hands. Changes will be made during the next budget (in 2025) or shortly after.

Hi Maam, I am completing 3 years in the UK on Skilled worker VISA in 6 months and now I wanted to know if I have to extend this for another 2 years or 3 years? which one is safe. Alternatively I can extend for another 3 years but need to pay the IHS fee for one year additionally for the entire family. Please advise. Thanks.
