Very useful video. Something that will stay relevant for years to come Sarika, please can you tell that if the kid who was born here and has spent 7 years, goes to his/her home country will still be able to apply for ILR at a later point in life
Hi, As per the UKVI guidance, a child born outside the UK and spent 7 years in UK can apply for private life route and one section says that the child can apply for ILR after one year of having the Private life visa. In my understanding it means the child born outside UK can apply for ILR after 8 years of continuous residence? Is that right
Dear Sarika, could you please clarify this scenario? Child not born here has got 5 yr leave to remain, but parents are on skilled worker visa. A year later the parent loses sponsorship. In this case can both parents become the Child's dependents and get leave to remain?
Absolutely no. One of the parents is the main applicant and others are just dependants and whatever happens to the main applicant affects others. If they revoke your licence, it affects all of your once the visa is cancelled
Hi, I have 2 sons, aged 18 and 7. When we came to UK in Dec 2017, the older one was 11 and the younger one was 1. If we apply for 7 year child route through my younger one and if it is successful, then what will be the case for my elder son? Thanks
