I love seeing successful Nigerian people. Well done to both of you. I am proud of you. Regarding the electrical wiring. It is a risky one because the building/contents insurance will not cover you if a fire starts as a result of uninsured electrical. Also the most basic electrical works can be more complex than you think as they are all linked.
I got my house already but wish i had seen this video before buying, your first point of the percentage of income a mortgage should be...hmmm i wish i knew early...but its all good, side hustle is sure the best way out.
Dont worry about it. Think of your mortgage as another form of savings account. All the money you are paying (minus the interest payment) is being built up as equity something you dont have on renting. Thats not even talking about any increases in value. You are doing well 👍🏾
Not yet actively in the buyung market but have learnt a lot from this video...Facing of the garden and waiting till we buy deco...thank you for sharing...
When it comes to sofas I don’t spend a lot anymore but I do have kids.ive bought expensive sofas which broke in a week so now I don’t buy expensive ones.another thing is you can buy things second hand which are pleasing on the eye.the main thing for managing a home is cleanliness.you can have expensive things but if it looks untidy every day it’s no good
I’m twice your age but, what I learnt early on is that I don’t like cleaning💯therefore, as the years have rolled on, I have less and less ornaments and knickknacks😬 Dusting and cleaning sh not take up a lot of your time🤭 A larger house means more cleaning time! 🤗🇬🇧🇯🇲

A south west / south or west facing garden is a MUST! 💯✅ It makes such a difference to how much light your house gets, or how warm, especially during winter. Great video🤗 I wish I had known much of what you know when I was buying my house back in the 1990s😁 🇬🇧🇯🇲
Oh I see!!! I thought you bought it all done already, you are refurbishing and building as u go along? How much was the property and features. I.e garden , how many garages, is it unsuitable rooms, how many rooms, and is it detached , semi or terrace please 🙏
So helpful 👏 First time I’m hearing about what cardinal point houses face and it’s importance. Thank you Chidera 🙏 There’s always something to learn on every video you upload. Well done on your consistency we see it and it’s much appreciated 👏 ❤
I don't know if you have a video on this already. Do you mind helping in listing out all the basic funds or payment needed to be paid before you can officially move into a new home. Secondly, are any other payments to be made monthly when you start living in that house aside the following..... Mortgage Council tax Energy Water Electricity
Hi 👋🏾 I already have a video on the cost of buying a house but if you mean regular outgoings after buying a house then no I don’t have a video on that. Asides the ones you mention there’s buildings and content insurance, then life insurance those are the only other two ongoing costs we pay monthly
Also find out if the house is factored, meaning that it is managed by a 3rd party in that case you will have to pay factoring fees for building insurance and repairs and cleaning of common areas life roof and garden @I-ehm-DC
I always buy furniture from the store, go many times to try it out before buying. Still have the chairs we bought 5 years ago and people keep asking where we bought it. Still look good as new.
I have an issue with UK chairs sha. They are too low for my liking. Please do you know if it's a British thing to build low-level sofas. Did you get something higher off the ground ?
You touched on directions of gardens, this is something I didn't even take into consideration when picking a home. It's southeast facing, so hopefully it should be fine when we reach completion.
Your home looks like an ellerton from barratts which is what we got. Sliderobes fitted our walk in wardrobe and they did a good job for very much less than the quote you got.
I bought my own house 8 years ago and I brought in my sofa I had before that is what am still using. I have an old bathroom which I have not renovated because the company told me it will cost me 35k euro for the type of bathroom I want. I don't want to take a loan for bathroom renovation and I don't have that much so I want to manage it till I have enough money 😂.
Just got a keys 🔑 from my house on 10th Jan. I'm still renting until April because of the renovation. What i have to say, ITS MAD! The cost of labour and materials is unbelievable!!! My hole second floor will cost me 30k 😢
Nice advice … thanks … we also made mistakes of buying stuff before moving into our house … pls how did u get rid of your unwanted stuff ?? Any particular website that u used ??? Thanks
I lived in a house with a north facing garden and made up my mind to buy a house with a south facing garden. North facing is so dark and I had to sit in front to get the much needed sun 😂
You get it! My kitchen barely gets any sunlight 😭. But my living room gets loads of sunlight and I’ll rather have that brightness in the kitchen. Lol we’re all learning 😂
Bi weekly date night ? Really ????😮 . This is the story of my life . Moved in Sept 2023 , my clothes were in the moving box until Dec 2024. I had to bin 21 pairs of shoes, they got mouldy in the box. All 5 of us sat on a wobbly two seater chair for 11 months, thanks to a torn flattened bean bag as well. My fireplace is still not done ,charcoals fall through it. Wind broke My side of of the fence , I am currently watching YT video about fixing fence . I'm a woman BTW. Owing house is no joke . Good luck potential home owner.
I guess we will just take our time and rock this LIFETIME ISA for about four years and take advantage of the bonus. This journey is not an easy one at all. 😂😂
@karinamoses790 I will definitely buy, we will just take full advantage of the LIFETIME ISA so that one could get more bonus from Government in other to increase one's deposit
Depends where you are buying , the money won’t stretch enough for a house in London, outside of London with the isa help to buy it’s capped at 250k unless ur going to a far away jungle turn that can’t buy anything decent either
Hi 👋🏾 it depends on the product you choose to sale and how many you sell in a month so it varies but it can give you a decent £1K extra. They have a calculator on their website that can show you how much you can make. You can try it out just scroll down on the website to find the calculator

Another thing to mention is being available to pick up the orders if you don’t work from home.
