this is the information I have got : The express trains will depart from Taoyuan Airport every 15 minutes from 05:55, with the last train departing at 22:58. Terminal 1 - 00:13 / 00:28 / 00:43 / 00:58 minutes past each hour Terminal 2 - 00:10 / 00:25 / 00:40 / 00:55 minutes past each hour . You may want to expore airport bus for hours outside of that. It is 24/7
@@lens988 it's merely paying forward! I have benefited from other channels here so just hope others benefit in a way I can contribute. Have a great travel to TAIWAN!
For the lucky draw, when you see the 天燈 dropping, did you tap any one of them? I also didn't win anything from it despite I travelled twice to TW this year Taoyuan airport MRT (in short they call it 機捷) has made it easier for tourists to spot which trains are express or local trains by using blue or purple strips on train body. Purple is express and blue is local (stops at every stations)
I was trying to balance the video shooting and the lucky draw at the same time. To the extent, it was so clumsily executed. I didn't know what to expect or what to do ... I attempt to tap on the whatever cartoon I saw on the screen but in the end frantically, nothing come out. What do you get if you tap on the lantern ? I wonder too.... As for fast train/ local train. I supposed they are using the same train track? If so then even if I were to wait for the express train , I would still be behind the local train in front of it in terms of schedule . So no point waiting for the next express train if the local train appears in front of you when you board ... not sure if my theory works. I know in Japan, there is a dedicated train for express train. This is where waiting for the next express train makes a difference . 😁
@@UncleGo if you tap on any lantern, that's where you will know if you win any lucky prizes. Both my lucky draw chances, I was not lucky at all. For the airport MRT, surely you can take next upcoming train, regardless of express and normal trains. I think somehow there is a display of train timings for the upcoming and next train, showing local and fast train types, so if you are in a hurry to get to 台北車站, waiting for express train for another 2 mins for fast train is fine. Note that both types of trains uses the same tracks from airport to 台北車站. At some stations, it comes with extra tracks allowing the fast train to bypass the station seamlessly and overtake the local train that stopped in that station, so it kinda makes a difference in terms of journey duration. If not, any train that approaches the platform is good too :)
