I have a Hitachi 32" LED TV and when I turn it on, the initial white screen with the word Hitachi only flashes, but the backlight remains dark. The sound works normally, the picture works as well when I illuminate it with an auxiliary light, so it can be seen. This can also be caused by a defective LED the diode in the backlight? What strikes me is that when the TV is turned on, the backlight lights up for 1 second and only then goes off permanently. I have previously solved defective led strips for two Philips TVs, but there the screen did not light up even when the TV started. Here it does now, can you advise?
I have the same issue , did youfind any solution?

Hi thanks for the video. On my Hitachi the backlights come on momentarily when i switch it on, long enough to show the Hitachi boot up screen, then it goes black. sound is still on. Any ideas?
Could be a number of things: error-correcting pathways shutting down the backlights to protect them, or a main board issue, or even just a software issue. Difficult to tell without opening up your TV and taking a look.

There's probably a failure on one of the internal boards or backlight, but you'll almost certainly need to open it up and take a look with a multimeter to find it.
Were is the rest button on the hitched TV
You might have a reset button on the back or side, but some models don't have them.
When I switch on with ariel disconnected the back lights come on and stay on but when i plug the ariel back in the backlights go off. there is a faint picture with the flashlight test. your thoughts on this would be appreciated.
That's odd. Sounds like an issue with the power board - maybe it's failing and can't power the backlights and aerial together.
@@techtests I called a repair man and without testing it he said it will be the leds need replacing and it'll cost £150. I'm still not any wiser.
