Thank you for your video on this model. I am currently in the process of making the decision to buy this model from a dealer on ebay. It's a new open box model with one small blemish on the headstock, can't even tell. He's offering to ship it with a hardshell case for only $268, can't even buy it new without a case for the price so I'm seriously considering buying it today. Thanks to your video it's giving me the confidence to pull the trigger on my purchase of this model. It's beautiful and sounds amazing, I've played guitar my entire life but haven't bought a new guitar in years. I've owned some of the most expensive models, and from what I'm hearing coming out of that it sounds just as good as any I've owned. I have an old Takamine lawsuit model from 1978, it's in desperate need of TLC the neck is so outta wack it just frets out something fierce. Thank you for your reply! I have one more question. When you first got the guitar out of the case, did the action seem pretty decent? I have a problem pressing down the strings. I'm pretty sure this is the best acoustic electric guitar out there in the under $350 price range. I've looked at several guitars in this price range on Amazon and some other places and listened to the tones of various ones but keep coming back to this one!
The guitar in the video was a customers guitar, not mine. Most of the ones I've tried have been decent out of the box. There was only one that I had to spend about an hour on to get it right. I've played dozens of these things and I've been impressed every time. Try to find someone in your area that knows how to set up a guitar and it will be fine.
i bought 2 new ones in a row returned them both.. they started buzzing after like an hour of playing adjusting the rod wont fix it. have you had any experiences like this with these guitars?
You ever seen any bad batches of AW54s? I heard quality control isn't too up to par with them... yet everyone's got good things to say. I got one on layaway and it makes me kinda nervous
Yes, sorry for the late reply. It wasn't anything I couldn't fix, but I had one AW54 come in with a bad neck. I suppose they used fresh wood, instead of old wood, in the manufacturing process. The neck had a hump where the fretboard met the body and it caused major buzzing issues. The frets had an adequate amount of material so I fixed it by leveling the frets. I hope your guitar was fine. I'm not endorsed by Ibanez, btw.
Just bought one today from a guy for $120 came with the Roadrunner case as well incredibly pleased with the guitar❤

Thank you. I would be comfortable with 13s on this guitar. Just make sure to find someone to adjust the neck, unless you already know how.

@@JoeHew Mine was made in Mexico. It sounds better than my 1969 Martin Brazilian Rosewood D-35. Seriously!
