We are very proud to release this brand new amp. Features and power unlike any other mono amplifier at an incredible price point! Thanks Car Audio Fabrication for the help in showing just how special the LC-1.800 really is.
you guys make some quality products. Are your 'remote on' sensors able to deal with engine start stop systems? I'm using an amp from another brand and it cuts out for a moment when the engine shuts off, and combined with the 3 second delay turn on it's really annoying. Are your products better with this?
You could put a capacitor in series to the remote on sensor. As long as your voltage doesn't drop too bad during cranking then it should stay powered up.
*AudioControl* It isn't something I saw so if it's there please forgive me, but I'd recommend including small tools for the DIY people. Just a small screwdriver for the plug and an allen key for the power cables. Adding those to ease the installation will increase your reputation for being customer centric.
I order the lc 1.800 t power a single p3d412 and guess what Big disappointment Accubass controls are unresponsive it lacks of power to push a 600 watt subwoofer even my p400.1 old amp pushed the same subwoofer twice as hard must be something wrong with my new amp please help
I just installed this along with a LC-4.800 four channel amp and all I can say is...wow! Everything noted in the video is spot-on, great job with this!
coustic was doing that years ago. its nice to see the industry move in that direction. The source unit clip indicator is badass too. only other amp ive seen em on are the RF Punch amps.
Thanks for tuning in guys! You can purchase the AudioControl LC-1.800 below! shop.howl.me/caraudiofab/collections/2608 Disclaimer: Affiliate links, if you purchase from the links above we receive a commission.
Great video, ten minutes ago I'd never heard of audiocontrol... now you got me drooling.... Can't wait to see your next video on A pillar aiming... I actually want to glass some 5.25 components in but i'm hesitant because I don't wanna affect my staging in a negative way.. ,JT
Great Channel. I'm watching all your videos to building my own system but I have a question. Could you help me with the brand and model of the 9 Wire OFC Speaker Cable that you use on this video. I can't find it anywhere. Thanks.
Quick question, My truck has factory amp and sub...wanted to add another aftermarket sub. What signal should I "stealing" signal from? Rear amplified speakers or from the sub?
What if I have a factory subwoofer. Could i just use the negative and positive wire or would I still need to run the left and right rear speakers to the amp? I have a 2016 Audi Q5
I know this is late. I was wondering this ampifier could connect to a bass speaker instead of regular speaker? I have 2013 Nissan Altima with bose factory, total nice speakers, three Twitter on a dash, 4 roofer speakers, each doors, and two base speaker the rear deck. I really want to install a JBL club 1200D dual 12 subwoofer box with audio controls lc-1-800 in the trunk
please allow me to date myself and say, my first amp/sub combo was a sherwood 240 and 2 x 12" piledrivers. wow, I'm old AF (betting this crowd would only know these items via research lol)
MARK CAN YOU TAP INTO YOUR FACTORY SUB AND FACTORY SPEAKER TO SUM BOTH TOGETHER OR JUST DO BOTH FACTORY SPEAKERS? TRIED ASKING AUDIO CONTROL WITH NO RESPONSE
Can you use speaker to RCA wires with this amp? This was a great video answered a lot of questions I had. If possible can you do a review of JL Audio RD amp or any amp that uses speaker to rca cables. Subwoofer setup.
My factory system has a amplified sub in it already can I use the signal wire from that or do I have to use the rear speakers' signal? Love the channel!
I'm currently installing my first system. Can you answer a question. I have the speaker and pos and neg battery wires ran already but I'm waiting on amp to come in the mail. Is it safe to just leave open amp wires in my trunk that are connected to battery with car running or will it catch the carpet in my trunk on fire?
Got a quick question about the LC-4.800 amp, if i connect it using the high level speaker inputs can i still run the original speakers from the factory head unit as well as the speakers running from the amp ??
CarAudioFabrication great for my Subaru community to know! With the Harmon Kardon systems it's signal from the deck to the amp cannot be tapped. It's a control signal and the factory amp does all the rest.
You could do two 4-ohm subs in parallel...which is a 2 ohm load and will get you the full 800 watts to that load. Or you could do a single 2 ohm sub as long as it’s able to handle around 800 Watts rms. (Those are big boy subs though and expensive for a beginner.) I’m not sure if they still make them for car audio customers...but you also could do three 8-ohm subs in parallel for a 2.66 ohm load, but you would get only 700ish watts to three subs. More square inches of sound displacement area but less overall power. Ideally you would do the first option above. Always maximize the amp usage especially with these cool running class d amps.
CarAudioFabrication very cool! So my comment I just accidentally deleted was that they now sell audio control at Best Buy so that’s pretty convenient to see them in person.
Open it up and replace the internal fuse with either a 300amp fuse or solder a copper buss bar across the fuse terminals: www.ebay.com/itm/Banda-ICE-3001-Amplifier-Module-Power-1-Ohm-3000Wrms/182822764361
+Cibim Box and apparently people named Cibim Box don't know how to use Google to find a simple conversion for AWG to diameter in mm.... Who's living in the middle ages now?? 😆😆😆 It's approximately 5.19 mm by the way.
Because we the United States are the empire..which suggests that we should naturally use the imperial system... whilst not giving 2 shits what anyone else thinks.

Not a fan of screw heads. They strip easily. Allen key heads work much better.

Big disappointment

Wow, source distortion PLUS output clipping light. Every amp should have this :)
Awesome review, I didn't know these amps have so many features compared to others. Makes them a better choice for sure.
Lots of really cool features, but I really, REALLY like how clean and sleek it looks! Awesome review, Mark!
Every amp should have an output clip led. Most useful thing on the planet.
coustic was doing that years ago. its nice to see the industry move in that direction. The source unit clip indicator is badass too. only other amp ive seen em on are the RF Punch amps.

what the song???
switch it up by the name lol
9:25 the song

I know whats going on my Christmas wishlist
+LoveAudio123 gotta keep the elves busy!
Christmas is great time to treat ourselves (car audio lovers). I ordered my present literally 2 hours ago. JL XD1000/V2
Next on the list JL 12w6v3 :)
Just hooked up my audiocontrol to my memphis m6, very pleased!
It pushes your speaker pretty good huh
Quick question,
My truck has factory amp and sub...wanted to add another aftermarket sub. What signal should I "stealing" signal from? Rear amplified speakers or from the sub?
Using factory speaker wires for the high level . Can you also use them as an out put ? Or do you have to use new speaker wires from the speakers ?
What if I have a factory subwoofer. Could i just use the negative and positive wire or would I still need to run the left and right rear speakers to the amp?
I have a 2016 Audi Q5
I have already purchased the same two amplifiers you have in your system and I plan on adding a, audio control 8 channel DSP in the future
Awesome video Mark! :) AudioControl make some seriously nice amplifiers!
You should do a video on active subwoofers.slims and or ultra slim.
I know this is late. I was wondering this ampifier could connect to a bass speaker instead of regular speaker?

Skeptic Seeker I remember those. My first was a linear 2202, on the original Orion xtr. Then I changed amps to a punch 45. Old school!
Skeptic Seeker haha I remember those Sherwood amps.
Should you tap in to the rear speaker wires before they go into the factory amp or after to connect the audio control lc 1.800
Thank you. Great video.
+Geoffrey Stephens you're welcome, thanks for watching
Would it be beneficial to pair a lc7 with this amp, or does this amp already have a built in converter?
What's on the right side of your thumb nail at 8:08? Good video once again.
Very attractive looking amp
Would this be good to use with an Image Dynamics 10" subwoofer I have? And would I need to upgrade my battery?
Yes I just ordered this. My kicker comp Q10" needs a amp that can do 800watts at 2 Ohms and this was the winner
I have a pair of TS-M800PRO speakers from PIONEER..
And wanted to know if the amplifier GM-A6704 can handle the two speakers!??
MARK CAN YOU TAP INTO YOUR FACTORY SUB AND FACTORY SPEAKER TO SUM BOTH TOGETHER OR JUST DO BOTH FACTORY SPEAKERS? TRIED ASKING AUDIO CONTROL WITH NO RESPONSE
Is that ACR knob for bass control or is it basically the same as the volume knob on my HU?
I just want the clip detection feature and the accubass features in a unit that I can add to my existing system.
Would the remote in / out still turn on the amp with the rca cables connected; coming directly from the head unit?
Can you use speaker to RCA wires with this amp? This was a great video answered a lot of questions I had. If possible can you do a review of JL Audio RD amp or any amp that uses speaker to rca cables. Subwoofer setup.
Nice video ! Does it act like a line out converter or the input must be only pre-amp ?
Do they help get back the low frequency bass sounds that get cut when volume gets close to half?
Cual amplificador de audio control es el más potente?
My factory system has a amplified sub in it already can I use the signal wire from that or do I have to use the rear speakers' signal? Love the channel!
You can use the subwoofer line to the amp
Would I just "splice" into the rear speaker connections?
For example after installing this amplifier mark how would i connect a 4 channel aswell ?
Looking to upgraded my factory speakers in my '04 quad cab Ram, anything? (Going to add subs at a later time.)
Since u only played 70 hz....youtube will not be able to identify that song for copyright reasons hahahha.
Love ur videos
I'm currently installing my first system. Can you answer a question. I have the speaker and pos and neg battery wires ran already but I'm waiting on amp to come in the mail. Is it safe to just leave open amp wires in my trunk that are connected to battery with car running or will it catch the carpet in my trunk on fire?
Be safe and sorry I would use electrical tape and cover the ends if it's showing any wire bear wire cover them up for the meantime
Is there any video nu CAF that explains how to tune your audio by ear? (Gain, 3 or more band eq, etc.)
Do you have a video for the build of your shop test setup?
Throw it up!!!! Bassheads always know!!!
+The3rd ERA perhaps 😉😉😉
Does the GTO signal sense work with RCA inputs as well, or only with speaker level inputs?
Only with speaker level. If you have RCA's you likely have an aftermarket radio to get amp turn on from, or some other device.
Can I add an epicenter or does this device already have it integrated?
no need apicenter. all audio control monoblock amp already built-in that epicenter & lc2i line output converter
Got a quick question about the LC-4.800 amp, if i connect it using the high level speaker inputs can i still run the original speakers from the factory head unit as well as the speakers running from the amp ??
Yes, you can tap your factory speaker signal and still leave the factory speakers connected.
Awesome thanks for the info, think my old JBL Px600.2 will work nicely running together with this :)
Add a epicenter?
can you design a tline for a 12" woofer and passive radiator (bandpass type)
How would I connect if I have 9 stock speakers?
Do I still need to add a LOC prior to this Amp?
Nope, it has an active loc built in!
@caraudiofabrication I have a sundown audio sa12, will this amp be a good amp to use for that 12?
Yes this would be a great choice
Do you have videos on how to add an amp to a factory fitted radio?
How to add an amp to a factory audio system? That's shown in this video!
CarAudioFabrication great had the question before watching. Oh I’m asking by using a line out controller?
Did you say this can be used after an amplified signal?
+Dj ScottEB yes! It can handle 40 volts on the speaker level inputs so if your oem premium amp is a higher power it can still utilize it for signal.
CarAudioFabrication great for my Subaru community to know! With the Harmon Kardon systems it's signal from the deck to the amp cannot be tapped. It's a control signal and the factory amp does all the rest.
Do you not need a line output converter?
You do not need a line convertor, this amp receives the signal from the speakers
Ok.. a little OCD... Mark, please get the fuzz off your thumb! SO distracting! Lol! Great video, as they all are. Thanks for the teaching.
How many subs can you hook up to this single amplifier
You could do two 4-ohm subs in parallel...which is a 2 ohm load and will get you the full 800 watts to that load.
Or you could do a single 2 ohm sub as long as it’s able to handle around 800 Watts rms. (Those are big boy subs though and expensive for a beginner.)

Ideally you would do the first option above. Always maximize the amp usage especially with these cool running class d amps.
Bass...that’s all a novice needs!!
Excelente videos amigo
Thanks for watching
@Rodney Yes they do! I actually helped AudioControl with the training videos for Best Buy for some of these amps and equipment
Was that at 4 or 2 ohms in this test? Awesome amp
CarAudioFabrication very cool! So my comment I just accidentally deleted was that they now sell audio control at Best Buy so that’s pretty convenient to see them in person.
+Rodney Kupcs you can use AudioControls dealer locator on their site as well and find a local shop
Where can i buy this amp
Links in video description
Unrelated to the amp. Even with the mic clipping that was a very clean sounding subwoofer.
Mark, can I have it? lol
To bad this amp doesn’t have a rca output to go to mid and high amp
Good amp but I need 3000 RMS.
I've heard some things. :P

Hmm

In human language plz... what is 4 gauge? Normal people measures wires in mm^ 2. Only people from middleage use imperial..
+Cibim Box and apparently people named Cibim Box don't know how to use Google to find a simple conversion for AWG to diameter in mm.... Who's living in the middle ages now?? 😆😆😆 It's approximately 5.19 mm by the way.

Funny, when something is in metric I don't have a problem just converting it. All the metric people act so smart but evidently can't use a calculator.
Yea. Us, Burma and Liberia. The last holdouts on the planet.
There are two types of nations in the world. Those who use the metric system, and those who walked on the moon.
Wow if you have to ask what is 4 gauge speaker wire then you do not deserve a car to drive in let alone a system to put in it
Do you have a video for the build of your shop test setup?
