Maggie, thanks for the beautiful pattern. Is there a written pattern for the bulky version? I would like to know the amount of yarn used for this version. Thanks! Carolyn

Thank you so much for your comment, and I apologize for not getting back to you. We took a very long hiatus from UA-cam and have only just recently gotten back to it. Did you still need assistance with your question?
I am new to crocheting and trying this project. I am ready to assemble squares together and my question is in whip stitching together, do you just cut a long length of thread to whip stitch together?
Hi Barb, In short, yes. I usually measure out about an arm's length or yarn - any more than that can be difficult to deal with, though you may prefer a shorter length. Just be sure to secure the beginning and end of your yarn - a knot is probably best, and just weave in any tail. Happy crocheting!

+A & G Productions Hi! Here is the information for the blocks in the afghan, which are used for the pillow. Gauge:Using Worsted Weight Yarn:Each Block = 10" x 10" (25cm x 25cm)Using Bulky Weight Yarn:Each Block = 12" x 12" (30.5cm x 30.5cm)
Hi Sarah, While it is not mentioned in the video, it is linked in the details of the video. Here is a link for you: www.maggiescrochet.com/pages/icy-snowflake-afghan-free-crochet-pattern
It seems I'm in the minority here. Having watched dozens of video tutorials, it is my opinion this is far from the best. I don't see how it can appeal to a beginner. The white yarn against a white background makes it very difficult to follow the stitches. I didn't like that round #4 wasn't demonstrated. Demonstrating the whip stitch & border would also be helpful to beginners. I can follow it as I'm not a novice crocheter however I would think you'd want to appeal to a wider audience and might consider updating the video. Thanks.
