    I used sparkly white yarn for the snowflake with a plain black yarn surround and it looks so pretty. Thanks for the tutorial.

    This is a very pretty snowflake however I think you are going to fast for a beginner to keep up. I have been crocheting and quilting for 30 years and I had to write what you're saying down and make a crochet diagram for myself. Thank you for sharing your snowflake with us.

      I've been slowing it down and it doesn’t help with the second row of the dark colour, especially si ce the dark folour has so e speckled sparkle. R I still can’t see what she is doing when she does a single chain, then a sc into the chain, then an sc into the sc. I can’t see where the hdc's are going. I’m a beginner and completely lost at this point. 🫤. Is she still skipping over? Also, I'm English, so have to keep converting the stitches.

    Wow ! I just happened upon your channel and i have subscribed 😊This square is so beautiful 😍 and looks very easy, I've been trying to find a good granny square for the holidays, but I didn't want to use the traditional Christmas colors like green and red. Snowflakes are very Christmas to me, and the other Snowflake ❄️ blankets I saw looked way too complicated. Thank you for this one!!

    Hi, I am still new to this and I'm not sure if I missed this information but can you tell me what size hook you are using and yarn weight?. I am excited to try this. Thank you.

    • @KnottingHookCrochet
      @KnottingHookCrochet  Рік тому +2

      I used #4 worsted weight yarn and the recommended hook size on the yarn wrapper which I believe was a 5.5 mm. You can use any weight yarn you want and then just go with the recommended hook size on the package. The thicker, the yarn, and the bigger, the hook, the bigger the square.

    I'm a little bit confuse here. The first row of the blue yarn you say sc sl and then sc. But later the at the same pattern you say sc ch and sc. Please help me is that chain or slip stich?

    • @KnottingHookCrochet
      @KnottingHookCrochet  2 роки тому +1

      Either way it was doing the same thing when I did a slip stitch then went for the sc it was just like doing a chain. It was just a moment of realization for me. So the correct answer is chain.

    Hello, I've been trying to attempt this pattern for weeks now, but for some reason I am not able to complete it correctly. I followed the instructions exactly, and I am not new to crocheting. For some reason, at 7:53, my snowflake comes out with 9 tops. When I counted yours in the video, it only had 8. I am confused on where I am messing up. I am using red heart yarn.

    • @KnottingHookCrochet
      @KnottingHookCrochet  Рік тому +2

      The brand of yarn you are using doesn’t make a difference. Sounds like you have too many stitches in the previous round or rounds.

    This pattern is beautiful, but very difficult to follow, especially when you change the descriptions you’re using. For example, you stopped saying slip stitch and started saying “chain” but you weren’t saying “chain one” so it sounds like we’re making the set of chain 3. I was hoping to use this snowflake to make my granny square blanket, but I can’t easily follow.
