    I as a single father of a daughter have had some of the most abhorrent treatment you can't imagine right in front of my daughter. I have encountered a bias that most will deny. I was injured and in need of help when I wen to a state agency I was told there was nothing they could do with no explanation, and told I should consider giving custody of my daughter back to her mother, without them even know the situation. When she was younger I have been accosted while trying to take her to the bathroom as if I was a pervert, and worse. They complain about needing restrooms for trans and yet noting is done for others in my situation. You know how hard it is to find family bathrooms. Or the looks and crap self-righteous mostly women give you. Where is my equality where was my understanding..

      Andy Brown I was a stay at home dad and was discriminated against heavily. I was called lazy,and worthless. I was not allowed to take part in MOPS because I was a man,but further injury they would not even let me see redacted notes so I could use the information to help my kids. I was looked at with disdain by my kids teachers and school. I was verbally attacked by men and women. I was called names, denied services. I had police called on me more than a dozen times accused of kidnapping my own kids. I had to take all three into the men's room, and I didn't have any support groups. I couldn't secure child care because I'm a man I needed to just suck it up as they put it.

      Aaron Layes I understand I have had many of the same things happen to myself. I love how this issue is just glassed over and ignored. They complain that more fathers need to be involved, and yet when you are you become a outcast or worse. Their are no programs to speak of for fathers. No special help no community support. We have to suck it up and make it work. Where as if I had a vagina there would be droves of people going after child support or finding me financial help, getting me grants. They have special programs to get single mothers small business loans, but they sure don't have that for single fathers. It is sad how everyone complains they want equality when they really want is special treatment or over-equality... I have walk head held high because I have accomplished this on my own. I may struggle but they can take their over-equality and stick it.. We know the truth the bias the feeling of isolation and yet my kid is a hell of a lot more stable and well rounded, and has a much more understanding view on life than most adults.

    As one of the few fathers with full custody of his child I can say the system is totally geared towards women. My ex-wife has not paid a dime in child support. Yet she still lives in a beautiful condo that she owns, drives a nice car and claims she makes no money. Is the government going after her the way they go after men??? No she gets away with it. Absolutely not. There are rarely any consequences for rapists. Conviction rates are abysmal. I wish men were more respectful of women and women more respectful of themselves. This would lead to less pointless, unfulfilling and awful sexual encounters between the sexes. I can understand how women may feel like they’ve had an experience that feels like rape/assault because of the mentality around sex in the current day. Only a tiny handful of career feminists benefit from feminism (Sarkeesian, Greer, Green, Watson etc), and only in the most superficial ways ...... career feminists generally end up as miserable, lonely, cat ladies with a haunted look who are eventually attacked by the next wave of feminism for not being radical enough.

If something is wrong (rape, aggression, discrimination...), it should be EQUALLY WRONG for all people. Bigotry towards someone who LOOKS LIKE someone else who's a bigot isn't justifiable. But this is what Western culture has adopted. Misandry. From popular media portrayal of men and boys to law enforcement's and courts' and schools' and many other institutions' discriminatory treatment of young boys, male teens, and men. It's disgusting. The Red Pill is mostly based upon earlier generation of MRA. These are people who are the "fathers of Feminists". Those who could be dismissed as "not getting it". There are some people (like Angelucci here) who are the "brothers of Feminists". This is where it starts to get interesting. Men this age are not going to be told that their sister is oppressed while they are privileged. When it gets really interesting is the young men. The "sons of Feminism". Feminists only considered what their old fathers failed to understand. They never had the foresight to think what their sons would think of them. This is apparent in the culture of men who are 60ish vs 40ish vs 20ish.

      The kind of neuro-plasticity required to completely overhaul your own world view is miraculous in of itself, I have never seen a case of someone who could do such a thing on the fly. Of course it took her time.
      This link is only a glimpse into the neurology of biases, and what it takes to change an opinion. For Cassie, it wasn't just an opinion, it was an entire network of opinions making up an entire world view!

      Also not to speak for Cassie, but look at her posture and facial expressions when the camera is on her. You can see what appears to be a great deal of disagreement and discomfort with this interview. I don't think she'd even started to open up to what she was being told by this point.
      As was mentioned before, she acknowledged that she really didn't start to see the light until after she went back to start editing and transcribing, and her body language here seems to validate that.

      Actually, you can sort that if you take interventionist welfare approaches like forcing both fathers and mothers a fixed set of days off. Then the potential cost of pregnancy disappears, I guess. Another question would be whether your country can economically afford that and is socially accepting of such measures.

    If people call themselves part of an organization or movement are to be included when condemning the bad things about that organization. If the men's rights movement was lobbying to screw over women then all the men in that movement would be condemned for what the 'leaders' were doing. Women feminists need to be held to the same standard. They are not personally responsible for the activities of the activists, but they are personally responsible for their association with the group.. which is defined by the activists. The leaders define the movement, not some random person who claims to be a member. If someone says they are a feminist and does not actively work to change the man hating bs activism then they are with the group that is doing the man hating. Period.

    I'm currently reading through Herodotus' Histories. There are some stories of women being mistreated, even murdered (in one story, Babylon was being sieged against by the Persians for the second time and in order to save on resources the Babylonians murdered every woman in the city save for one chosen by each family). However, there are many stories of men being seen as expendable and the first ones who are maimed or executed. In the same siege against Babylon, at least 7000 troops from the Persian army were sent against Babylon with daggers only in order for a plant inside Babylon to gain the trust of the Babylonian leadership by being victorious in battle and given the keys to the city. 7000 men slaughtered just so a ruse could lead to the Persian king conquering Babylon.
    Culturally, we are conditioned to be more shocked by the murdering of the women inside Babylon than the 7000 troops who were expended.

    From what I observed, men’s rights just orbit around that concept of having a relationship. If they just don’t have a relationship (romantic) or don’t cohabitate, get married, all of these problems can be avoided. All rights are then kept intact.

    • @JakkFrost1
      @JakkFrost1 6 років тому

      It's a bit of both, actually. For example, some of the things Paul Elam said would have caused knee-jerk reactions in non-MRA audiences, and they would have stopped actually listening to what was really being said and started stoking their outrage.

    • @jaydamalley3398
      @jaydamalley3398 6 років тому +1

      This type of film, with this much footage, and these amount of interviews, puts time constraints in place from the get-go. Regardless if it's her intention, she would necessarily have to stay with the main points, focusing on a certain amount of individuals, without going into much detail, to be able to make a well paced movie.
      That it happens to work out, particularly in this digital age, that you can release the rest of the footage, so that people who are interested can get more information, i.e. to go deeper into it; sure, both play a part. But the one (easing people into it) is a result of the other (time constraints).
      If she had made a movie about another expansive subject, where she only interviewed the 3 most knowledgeable people on that subject, she would have the breathing room, to go much deeper into it. Using more comprehensive bits, like this one.
      And about Paul Elam's approach, like both Cassie and him said a couple of times: if Paul hadn't done it the way he did, Cassie wouldn't have come across A Voice for Men. So there wouldn't have been a Red Pill movie.
      Moreover, every article I've read of his, had a point. So if you take that *Bash a Violent B*tch-month* article, where he exposed the hypocrisy of a certain feminist outlet, and people start complaining about the tone, or way he did it, even though he had a point, those are not the kind of people you should put much importance on. Those people, who only worry about tone policing, are some of the kind who will only come around if the subject in question has become popular opinion.
      Different people, different 'triggers'. Some (like me) just want to hear the facts and statistics, others will take notice because of the confrontational way of writing, and it's perceived 'controversy', and others will respond to the emotional appeal. It takes all kinds.

    A lot of laws are written to maintain social stability by protecting the weak; it is one reason police tend to take the man which can do more harm by his aggressive actions than the woman (not always) and all similar situations... but always ALL laws are written and ENFORCED to protect the socially positioned upper strata. Generally the moneyed class whether is the new rich or the ld rich.
    In fact it seems historically that we wouldn't be dealing and have the space to deal with all these women and men's issues if society weren't stable enough to withstand it.
