Very nice video on a lovely day. It is inspiring. I have been a couple of times at Rancocas, NJ. when I lived near there. History does repeat itself. Thanks for something different, Nancy.
Hi Nancy …… Really enjoyed your Pow WOW video! All the color and the “tributes” to the “First Nation People’s! You did such an interesting job in capturing the moment! Take Care and God Bless Always!! 🇺🇸🤠🇺🇸
Splendid video, Nancy! I enjoyed watching it. The video took me back to a Powwow that my sons' Boy Scout troop attended. The Powwow was in the late 1980s, I think. I think that the Powwow might have taken place at the Lake County, Indiana Fairgrounds in Crown Point, Indiana. This is the first time I have thought about that Powwow in over 30 years so there is a good possibility that I am wrong on the location.
Well, it looked and sounded just like the Choctaw Indian PowWow over near Mobile County in Alabama. The MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians is a state-recognized tribe, located in southwest Alabama, with a population largely based in southern Washington County and Mobile County ... Petition for federal recognition · State recognition I have friends who are of the Choctaw tribe.
Fabulous video! Loved the costumes, music, and sense of culture and tradition being solid and strong. Even the littlest children watch and learn, so they can pass it along. First Nations members, and those with ties to them, danced together in celebration.
Great video Nancy. I am part Ojibwe. Great to see how some of my great ancestors may have danced.
