- The 2021 KBIC (Keweenaw Bay Indian Community) Pow Wow is an annual July event held at the Ojibwa Campground in Baraga, Michigan. The day was hot but it started to cool down as the evening went on. Full regalia and and the causal alike performed the Grand Entrance circling the main shrine showing their dance and dress. I met some wonderful people that evening.

My grandmother and her mother was pure native American. I would love to meet that side of my family.
My son is married to a half native lady. Her mother is full blood. My son and his wife are raising 4 adopted native children that were born into a very, very bad situation. I am learning more and more about the culture.

Oh Doug....beyond fabulous. You got this so beautifully done. The Fancy Shawl Dancers are so gorgeous, and the bear is back! (Imagine wearing that on a hot humid day)....
