    What is the purpose of the tine clip?

      Looks like it keeps the the "tine" in place, which I assume to be that moveable divider on the top rack. Without it, the "tine" divider moves about and you can even remove it entirely from the top rack. All clumsy guesses here though without referring to the manual.
