I hate when Dudes like Rico talk about women being grown up to be Independent and choosing themselves. Because what happens when they wanna do stuff and the men around aren’t doing the work to catch up? You go do it by yourself. We need women to be independent because it stops them from falling into the traps of those who want to use and abuse them until they get to that good/right guy. I really want Rico to read articles from a woman’s perspective before he talks about their way of life and general characteristics

We do, but we also need that independence to not go to their heads...they get the independence and still want to be 100% dependent upon a man which is why men typically flock to dependent women cuz its a lose lose situation

The information about Single women living longer is inflated by the language. also single men live longer too.
“Single women live longer than married women,” while this is a factually true statement it is definitely oversimplified. If you do any sort of research into the specifics of these studies you will find that the numbers are not “statistically significant” enough where it matters. Meaning these peoples Life expectancy is not much longer than people who are married. Some studies have this as 1.5 years to 2 years more which is nothing in the grand scheme of a human life. So to conclude for the folks who can’t follow you’re not getting a whole slice of pizza you’re getting one to two bites more.
Last take: for people that say women are miserable that’s subjective because we don’t know the specifics as to why women get into marriage. One reason some people do it is because it’s expected of them so it’s only natural that people who did not desire to be married are unhappy.

Her saying she knows over 20 people she grew up with without any father figure is statistically unreal and illogical. I’m sure a good amount of them had father figures around.
It’s very possible to be true…I definitely know at least 20 single women w children and I also know married women that are functioning as single parents
The sad reality is that it is NOT unreal. Its illogical but we have to get up with black men on that one, theyre the ones making kids they dont intend to be there for. And its not just pookie and ray ray because look at future and nick cannon.

Rico taught nothing and I’ve come to the conclusion that he’s not in the business of giving valuable information or good points in general. Cause he could’ve tackled Patriarchy and how it’s negatively influenced women to be the ‘modern’ women but he might not have the range.

The "hype" that Rico keeps refering to is patriarchy. Patriarchy is what basically sets that standard that says men must be the breadwinners of their relationships. That has always been the case. Men have always needed to have money. Back in the day, women stayed in the house and took care of the kids, while the men went to work and made money. This idea of men needing to be financially stable has always been prevalent because of patriarchy.
There’s way too many 40+ year old women crying on social media asking where the good men are to be saying single women are happier.
Y'all make it seem like our whole community is fatherless, please speak up for people who had 2 parent households. And even if the dad is present they are not talked about or respected, the mom gets all of the accolades.
It’s not the whole community… the age group has impact on where you will be more likely to see it… keep in mind we are still feeling the reverberation from the crack epidemic after it was present all across the country… it created a lot of single parent houses that may have otherwise been a 2 parent household… remember opioids are a health issue… crack was a drug problem that incarcerated and killed many potential heads of household
