Thanks once again for valuable long term review, as I said earlier did book 2022 version over Himalayan, had a bad moment with RE as exorbitant hiked prices over company by showroom. I'm happy that I went for KTM. I'm 5 feet 10 and tip-toe happens with me too 😀 . Awaiting delivery, meantime watching your blog and remembering how I was smiling during a long test ride I had for 2022 version
Thanks mate and humbly glad to hear that you liked my efforts.. All the best for your 2022 Model...
Made the same decision and bought KTM 250 Adv in April 2021. Love this Machine!

Mileage??
after riding for 12k kms, while you riding at what RPM the vibrations creep in?
It's KTM and it would always vibrate and heat up
@@PM-tr1cn but isnt there any sweet spot?
Yes Vibrations are there but never a deal breaker for me...single cylinder engines (except the Japanese ones) would always have some vibrations to itself
@@AIRMotovlogs okay boss, you gave me an good clarity now which bike to go for!

Thanks ... feedback noted Sir
Bro iam Gonna get this bike in March 2022 version..... I just saw your vedio for your bike.... But now iam big fan of your speech.... I dont know hindi.. Because iam from tamilnadu.... So plese do talk more English also..... Happy to see your vedika more
Thanks Danish… all the best for your bike..English and Hindi mix it needs to be bro
Me too in march bt confused between this and duke250.
@@borntoenjoy1537 brother if you are comfortable with weight and height of ADV250 .. .then simply go for it....worth for everything
how's this machine bro, I am planning for next month 2023.
Brought this machine on September21 2nd service done... 7750 kms done on date..... felt oil leak in engine part fixed it on my second serive
...but nothing serious issues ✅️ noted ..if you have more budget and want to do more and risky off road.. go straight for adv 390....i have driven both 390 and 250
..i flet a little difficult in off road while driving250 ...but with chill.off road and with gud experience you can enjoy 250 adv....overall it's a meaningful onn road with doibtfull off road....👍
Bro whats the annual service cost for this bike
@@sandeepmendon958 if one does a periodic maintenance from time to time, then its very budget friendly...I don't remember spending a fortune on this motorcycle, at least on maintenance
@@AIRMotovlogs thats good to know
For fog lights, I went to Sans Moto Shop. They were so helpful and I got the fog lights installed from there. Costed me 3k for the projector pair with yellow and white lights together in one piece. Harness was another 1500 with a new horn and a simtac system for the bike as well. All in all, Job well done. I can now have yellow and white lights at the press of a button. Also mine HJG lights have 6 Months warranty
That’s great !
Can you please say is ktm adventure 250 is a better choice then the ktm Duke 250 ??
Both are good in its own capacity…they cannot be compared…uses the same engine in different chasis and frame thats it
Thank you for replying 👍
@@punipunith3798 no issues
Either the chain is loose or it's coming from the front sprocket. Means it's time to change
Are there any rear brake issues? Braking is most important part for a bike and was wondering if rear had worked well for you without issues? Have you changed brake pads to ceramic?
In my near 2 years of experience never had any issues ..yes the brake pads were replaced as they wore n tore with time..but still ... Ceramic brakes are definitely better but happy with what I have... ABS always worked and saved my life N number of times..so all good, IMO
Nice review 👌👍️
Thanks
Bhaiya main bhi 250 Adventure use karta hu... Mera bhi 13000km ho gaya hai... To abhi tak apne chain kit change kiya hai???? Aur clutch plate????? Asal main mujhe kuch problem nehi aaraha hai but chain kit se awaz nikal raha hai after every 100km run... Plz give me some suggestions about chain kit and clutch plate... 💕
Chain was changed once and as per your kms consumed, you too need to change it asap…mera bhi chain se bahut awaz aa rahi thi…you can get it from KTM sevice or localy…would cost your approx 3.5-3.8k..clutch plate mein no changes done whatsoever…still fine (touchwood) even after 22k + kms
The mileage these bike show on dash is not correct....
If you measure with tank to tank it will not give more than 35 or 36 because I have duke 200 & it give me Max 38km/Ltr if I ride it at Max 70kmph speed.....
Sir Please atleast once measure the tank to tank mileage if possible....
The tuk tuk sound of the chain come from the swing arm when chain touches the swing arm specially when bike is in slow speed.....it is absolutely normal it comes in every KTM bike.
No vehicle on earth shows an absolute correct mileage or speed figure…thats why for speed V-Box numbers or even a gps speed as indicated on hoogle maps, are often more accurate… regard tank to tank test, If I get time…I would do that …getting time is my biggest challenge
Which is better Himalayan adventure or Ktm adventure... Bro.. I'm confused..
Both are good bikes…however if it’s dependable long distance touring bike then its the KTM to go for…if you’re into hardcore off-roading then get an Xpulse over Himalayan…RE-s have improved a lot,no denying but that trust factor is still somewhat missing…you may also now check for the Yezdi Adv
What is the comfortable cruising speed?
For me it's 70-110...
Mujhe Lene ka maaan hai but height only 5.6inch nhi le sakta 😥😥

Should i sell my dominar 400..
I dont need that much of rush as my dominar provides ..
My dominar gives 34kmpl in city and 36-41 on highway...i have modified into touring..I felt i go touring very less i am unable to use the full potential of dominar as i dont have very broad highway near my area..
For city travel and daily commute should i opt for AdV 250 ktm ?
if you’re touring lesser these days and also feel that you’re not being able to use the Domi’s full potential…then we are on the same page…as that’s the same scenario with me for a good time now..in that case investing in a full spec touring bike wont be a wise decision..just go for may be a 150-250 cc bike…would be more than enough trust me..i might as well do the same in near future
@@AIRMotovlogs Thank you for wise advice I have listed on olx..lets see..
Can you tell me or is there any video showing how much i have to spend on this bike to maintain..are the parts expensive as compared to bajaj ?
@@whiteshadow7892 Glad it helped…any vehicle would be lesser to maintain cost-wise if one is into periodic checks and basic maintenance on their vehicles…talking of Bajaj they’re are relatively lesser to maintain…you may check the specific playlists on my channel that covers different bikes…but the costs mentioned therein would be old and may vary as on today’s date.
@@AIRMotovlogs still can you say any data for this KTM 250 ADV... My Dominar expense is 1500 per Service and chain clean lube i do it myself with kerosene and gear oil.. Dominar is easy on my pocket and also returns good mileage...

Ktm adv250
bro. outstanding , =))

Cruising speed?
90-110-120 kmph..
What a detailed review. Hats off sir.
I want to know one thing, have you done any PPF coating on 250 ADV to avoid getting any scratch?
Glad you liked my efforts…no ppf coating done…if you see the latest videos you would see that its just a Blue wrapping job on the tank just for looks purposes
Bro... Bobo mobile holder is superb, JB racing holder also does fine...
Thanks Sreenath for the information 😊👍🏾
Great video!!!!
Thanks
Sir you mentioned 45kmpl mileage.. are you 100% sure about that ? Because i am planning to get on.. for daily commute and my preference is mileage... I am expecting between 30-33....
40 range is in touring scenario…in city display shows 35-38 as per my riding style
@@AIRMotovlogs damn sir even 35 in city is quite high... Please can u give me tips how can i achieve this much in city... As i am planning for a new Adv 250....
@@ridewithdavid7171 it's the indicated mileage i don't think it can give more than 30-33 in city
Only for daily commute you'd be better off with an Xpulse 200 4V but that is just my opinion
Can we get a pure riding sound from helmet ?
That’s what action cameras and a decent to good mic do
Honest review , great job
Thank You
How about maintenance issues, hv heard that ktm bikes are expensive to maintain, is it true ?
Am confused between this bike and honda cb350 highness anniversary edition considering honda engines are quality ones.
Please guide. Thanks.
Expensive to maintain ? Not at all !! Its rather largely has been maintenance free for myself. Honda CB350 is good bike too…all you need to do is to decide on the lines of - your riding style, what’s your purpose of riding a bike, your height n weight and lastly your budget. Short list the bikes as per these…test ride all of them and feel yourself..go for the one with which you connect the most…YT vids can only be a guide but ultimately it’s your call. Hope this plan of action, would help you decide.
Thanks.
@@amitmuru4218 no problem
Sir clean the chain and try to clean the front sprocket too with cleaner disel or kerosene let it dry wash the bike let is dry and dry it off with cloth and then lube it , it should solve it. My xpulse was doing the same issue
I keep doing it regularly on my bike …may be a more thorough one is needed
@@AIRMotovlogs maybe sir. Because I opened the front sprocket cover and then cleaned it thoroughly that's how my problem got solved.
Yeah even I got that cleaned last month only..uploaded a shorts on that too
At 12000kms u have so much tyre remaining to go. If it was a ny fancy brand then u would be looking for replacement by now and big dent on pocket.
Good long term update.
Yeah those Melt-Jailor (Metzeller) tyres
Whats the comfortable cruising speed on this 250cc? I am thinking of using this occasional inter-state travels.
For me it has been 90-110 kmph…occasionally pushing to 120-130
Sam I got the brass chain for my ns200 couriered from coimbatore

@@AIRMotovlogs what was the actual issue? If I could ask?
Hello sir. I'm planning to buy a bike. I'm confused between dominor 400 and ktm 250 adv. Can you please help me with it?
Both are good bikes… Dominar is heavier of the 2… rest it’s personal preference and one’s personal call
40 nahi dega mileage. Gixxer sf 250 mereko 30-35 deta hai. Ye bhi usi range mai ya usse bhi kam hi dega
Mere ko diya hua hai ...deti hai aur aagey bhi degi....as I always try to educate people on one basic thing - Mileage of any vehicle....ANY VEHICLE... would always depends upon how it's being ridden / driven ...so just because you're getting whatever mileage figure from your bike doesn't mean anyone and everyone would get the same...same goes for my mileage figures...just because am getting a 40, doesn't mean anyone and everyone would start getting that mileage...also we all riding on different road and traffic scenarios...so mileage can never be same for everyone....
Hey buddy what do u think is the engine life of this bike. How long will it go untill it breaks down or need a rebuild
No idea…
Sir ji.... What about comfortable cruising speed?
Its good
What's the average servicing cost
It depends…for me it has been ₹2000-3000, first till third “so called” free service…thereafter it would vary depending upon issues and problems
I'm 5'5, I had Duke 250 and I was able to ride that bike easily, will I be facing height problem on KTM adv?
You may have to adjust as even at 5.7” I need to tip toe on one or the other side.

@@316geek welcome Hemant ji
@@AIRMotovlogs I've some more query, I had Duke 250 for 3+ years and I had ridden that for 40k kms, should I go for adv 390 or 250? How smooth is adv 250 at 100-110? And.. in most of the UA-cam videos people are saying that adv 390 is giving 30+ mileage, what do you say how true is that?
After selling my bike I'm missing my bike.
@@316geek As mentioned in this video…I have never ridden a 390 Adv myself but since it uses the exact same D390 engine (which I’ve owned previously)..mileage of 30 seems quite possible…however am kinda tired of saying this in general but Mileage of any vehicle depends on rider and his/her throttle input and would thus always vary…being a 44 bhp machine it may very well be smoother and faster but with my 30 horses on my 250 Adv and having done a decent bit of touring it’s more than sufficient for me at least…the 250cc power band is just too satisfying for me.
What is the Cruising Speed sir please let me know
For me its between 80-100
47kmpl! Really??
That’s what the speedo showed…you may notch it down by 3 or 4 kmpl
I really like stickers on your bike , From were you bought them

@@hiteshchhabria6342 most welcome
I am getting less than 25kmpl both in city and highway. Current odo reding = 5607km.i dnt know if the mileage will improve.
Not sure how old is your bike ..don’t get me wrong there..i mean to say normally the mileage figure improves post first service…and also there can never a fixed and permanent figure for mileage for any vehicle on planet earth…it would depend on the riding style, the road conditions. Also off late I have been noticing slightly better mileage from my bike with the usage of Power / Speed fuel available at the pumps…try that if not already tried…worst case scenario (God forbid) tell the KTM guys about mileage and see if they can do any magic or not.
I am getting 21 kmpl my odo reading is 379kms I just finished 2 weeks I am using it in the city. My bike isn't heating much yet but its giving terrible mileage.
I just took my bike to the highway once I got an approx mileage of 32 kmpl
By revving constantly, my mileage never exceeded 28kmpl, and it would average anywhere between 24 and 28.
But once I learned revving then coasting and also changed my fuel to IOCL xp95, I now get city average between 30 and 33 on the instrument cluster and 30 real world.
Try Shell vpower or IOCL xp95 and see which gives you better mileage. At least have 3 full tank fills before you judge the performance of the fuel because of mixing impurities
Plz make video on single language don't confuse
Sorry if you couldn’t make anything out of this video but my audience caters to languages like English, Bengali and Hindi…so I have to make my videos usinga mix of all three…

Bro what's your view on the weight of the bike. I mean is it manageable? Also about high speed stability how do you find this bike performs?
Its fine in that respect…no big deal at all…not for me at least
Is it comfortable for daily commute and what's the mileage in City?
Yes it is… and regarding mileage … everyone needs to understand that it depends and varies with rider’s throttle input and riding style…so as per mine its 38-ish in city and 44-45 on highway…
You haven't spoken about breaking in this video ? Can you shed some light on it
What do you wanna know about breaking in ? Nothing special to mention on that and nothing specific or particular for this bike ! It’s to be done the same way as it’s done on any vehicle, any make and or,any CC ! Hence didn’t mention anything either in this 12k Ownership Experience Video.
