Great overall review of the KTM Adventure. It looks really well made. I wish they had the Adventure in 2019. Nevertheless, I modified my KTM 390 Duke into an Adventure...If they were available where I'm at, I'd considering getting one. Thanks again for a thorough review. Aloha from Maui🤙
Does anyone know if the 2020 models are getting the software upgrade in the USA? I read somewhere in a magazine that KTM is updating the hex file so we can use the new Offroad/Onroad features
Just got back from the expo in Flagstaff az. 900 miles, no problem whatsoever. Hauled my fat carcass 70 mph all day. I would like to get the software flashed to keep the settings, we'll see how that goes

Those points are about the bike as whole for those they may not be familiar with previous models, don't forget they added another riding mode and fixed the ABS issues related to a stall and restart forcing you to fix the ABS every time. As I understand it that was big complaint.
It does seem like is capable of going anywhere I would go, Had all the traditional singles before, need something better for that 200-400 mile stretch on highway. thanks
I keep hearing the ktm 390 bikes are always stalling ....i dont want a new bike and have stalling issues all the time. Can anyone chime in that has a new ktm 390?
I had a 2021 for 3 months then sold it. It did stall occasionally when coming to a stop, and dirt/dust migrated into the display. Not enough to get a new display under warranty, just enough to be annoying and the stalling was so inconsistent you just lived with it. I think it could be related to the throttle sensor which failed at around 700 miles. Major PITA to get dealer to replace it under warranty-which after some drama and several weeks later they did. Didn't trust it after that.
You commented on the exhaust “ precision crafted” but I think I see some exhaust pipes that look different than the rectangular exhaust viewed at the beginning of this portion of the video 😊Am I seeing that wrong?
I would have bought one if it was available with 21/18 spoked wheels..that was the deal breaker for me.. I don't want tubeless alloy wheels on an adventure bike
Great review! I just stumbled on to this video. How is the road ability on the highway and for a daily bike? Do you think the horsepower will cause the bike to struggle on the highway and if you decided to do some 150 mile days or something like that. I will check it out but would like to know more about it's road abilities. Thanks

Better off with a Kawasaki KLR650S ABS with its bigger engine, more power and torque, doesn’t work as hard. Better mpg. Built from the ground up to be a true off-road dirt bike. And it is made in JAPAN.
The klr650 and the dr650 both have far greater torque then the 390 and it is available at lower rpm, so the torque and hp is well balanced on those 2 bikes, if the 390 had less hp and more torque I think it would have been better IMO

I’m in similar situation; 55 / 190 cm from Finland and planning to get my very first bike. I’ve looked bikes for an year now and to the finals made Honda NC700X, Suzuki DL650, CFMoto Mt 650. Honda is more street bike and no grear indicator and very low engine rev limiter. CFMoto is interesting, but so rare here that I’m a bit worried about the aftermarket. DL650’s been my number 1 choice, but it is big and heavy bike, can be intimidating. But just recently came across 390 Adventure and I’ve chosen to get one - if I fit it that is.
