    I’m going to use this video as a guide to do mine on my 2.6 Mitsubishi motor in my 1985 dodge K Car. Thanks for the awesome video!

    Very useful vid as I just did this today in my 1992 Isuzu pickup. Was way easier than I thought. Motor sounds brand new, no more obnoxious ticking. Bravo 👏👏👏💯

      That is the exact truck I just got .It's a 1992 Isuzu 4 cylinder gas powered Pup. Is this the video I need to watch? It doesn't tick or sound like his motor but I want to make sure it's running good. It only has 71,000 miles and my Mom bought it new but never had the valves adjusted. Thanks for any advice.

      If no ticking I wouldn't worry about it. 1992 Isuzu hell yeah 👍👍

    Yep, reminds me of my 54 chevy and adjusting its valves. I did mine running if I remember correctly. Loved that car. Good quick job Wally.

    Man that air cleaner has got the triple bypass mod on it. Got her pointed forward catching all that air coming through it's grill. That's what we call grabbing some free horsepower. With some twice pipes outback would make for the total package deal @ Hare Inc tuning

    I cut my teeth on them old Mazda trucks. They were actually great trucks. Worst thing that ever happened to Mazda was getting in bed with Ford Motor Company.

    I learned something here. I have always adjusted valves in 4 stages, rotating the crankshaft in 90-degree increments and adjusting each cylinder when it was at TDC of its compression stroke. But, as Wally points out, the intake valve can be adjusted at the BDC of the power stroke, and the exhaust valve can be adjusted at BDC of the intake stroke. It's worth pointing out that the sequence shown in the video is for an engine with 1-3-4-2 firing order.

    • @bobwatkins1271
      @bobwatkins1271 5 років тому

      @Lo Kim My understanding is that valve overlap occurs at TDC of the exhaust stroke (i.e. at the transition from exhaust to intake). This is not the point in the cycle where the valves are being adjusted. They are being adjusted at TDC-compression (both valves), BDC-power (intake only), and BDC-intake (exhaust only).

      Joe Shearer yes it normally does. Bill drive it on the street so not red line action. I would suggest checking after final torque but I didn’t.
