Wally's a pretty smart dude.
Great video. No annoying music or skipped steps. Wally is a real pro. Thanks.
I cut my teeth on them old Mazda trucks. They were actually great trucks. Worst thing that ever happened to Mazda was getting in bed with Ford Motor Company.
That's the cleanest engine in the old mazda i ever saw.
i like wallys thinking "we gonna put a fogger kit on it" thats they type of guys you wanna work with, hell ya
I like that cold air intake 👍
I’m going to use this video as a guide to do mine on my 2.6 Mitsubishi motor in my 1985 dodge K Car. Thanks for the awesome video!
Bill great looking hot rod
Drive it like you stole it Bill !
Ticket sound comes good nice valve adjustment.
Yep, reminds me of my 54 chevy and adjusting its valves. I did mine running if I remember correctly. Loved that car. Good quick job Wally.
Hahaha bad ass! That sponsor sticker tho! Love these trucks so much and that fly swatter is perfect
Hey, I'm still sporting the sticker!
Haha that's awesome! I guess Wally did a decent job if it's still running a day later!
I'm kidding! Thanks for the content, y'all are halarious
Man that air cleaner has got the triple bypass mod on it. Got her pointed forward catching all that air coming through it's grill. That's what we call grabbing some free horsepower. With some twice pipes outback would make for the total package deal @ Hare Inc tuning
We can see good why you don’t like having lights lol just playing thanks for the video Guys
Very useful vid as I just did this today in my 1992 Isuzu pickup. Was way easier than I thought. Motor sounds brand new, no more obnoxious ticking. Bravo 👏👏👏💯
That is the exact truck I just got .It's a 1992 Isuzu 4 cylinder gas powered Pup. Is this the video I need to watch? It doesn't tick or sound like his motor but I want to make sure it's running good. It only has 71,000 miles and my Mom bought it new but never had the valves adjusted. Thanks for any advice.
If no ticking I wouldn't worry about it. 1992 Isuzu hell yeah 👍👍
I like the way while he talks to his field gauges
Love these videos guys!! 👍👍
I learned something here. I have always adjusted valves in 4 stages, rotating the crankshaft in 90-degree increments and adjusting each cylinder when it was at TDC of its compression stroke. But, as Wally points out, the intake valve can be adjusted at the BDC of the power stroke, and the exhaust valve can be adjusted at BDC of the intake stroke. It's worth pointing out that the sequence shown in the video is for an engine with 1-3-4-2 firing order.
@Lo Kim My understanding is that valve overlap occurs at TDC of the exhaust stroke (i.e. at the transition from exhaust to intake). This is not the point in the cycle where the valves are being adjusted. They are being adjusted at TDC-compression (both valves), BDC-power (intake only), and BDC-intake (exhaust only).
Great video y'all have a great one and stay safe 👍
Good wild bill video.
Tuned by Wally and as Darrell Waltrip would say: Boogity, Boogity, Boogity boys let's go racing!
Remember doing this on my datsun p/u,,,but that was decades ago!
Man I'd be nervous to work on something with that many horses under the hood. 😁
Thanks for your
time on the video, when I'm done with the rear valves, do i put the motor to Dead Center again?
Would love to work with you guys you guys do it all
So, are y'all putting in a 2 stage or 3 stage fogger ?. I didn't see enough room for twin turbos. Lol. Nice old four banger bill !!
Thanks so much for this video! Easy to follow and I know have some knowledge for when I need to do my valves! ☺️
Just like a Timex takes a lickin keeps on tickin.
Restored!
This makes me miss my 1985 dodge ram 50
Maybe a dumb question but what is the feeler gauge size you used?
What Clerance did you set?
How many mm is the clearence?
dont you need to be on the compression cycle aka both intake and exhaust valves closed?
You don’t think the clearance could have tightened up more when Wally did the final torque?
oh it defiantly did
Joe Shearer yes it normally does. Bill drive it on the street so not red line action. I would suggest checking after final torque but I didn’t.
How can we tell 180* like. Can you show mark
What is them three open pipes on the air cleaner for?
It had some surgery done on it .......
I actually thought you were serious about it being a race truck, and then we saw what's under the hood....
Dude, why you think it's not a race truck?
Who sells that magnetic thing that Wally was putting all the bolts on?
Matco does
Pull out the 4 banger put in a ecoboost v6 than race ir
who makes that big magnetic plate u got on the side ? 🤔
jerry urboii that’s a matco magnetic tray part# MST16 or 17
@@marcoscarmona5610 thank you !
It gained 30 hp because Wally worked on it lol
What's up guy's!??!!?!
Don’t diss The do
