Good morning Katie! I think you'll eeally appreciate making the decision to focus on debt in the long run. 😊 Not transfers per se, but steps to keep my momentum going! I've made my bucket list for my 2025 goals & the milestones I'd like to reach in my 30s. Also working on generating a second stream of income. 😁
Awesome job Katie, you’re an inspiration!! This week we sent $225 to our Christmas/birthday gifts sinking fund, $50 to pet sinking fund and $100 to travel!
Transferred $8968.40 to PAY OFF our Home Equity loan this week!! Paid off just shy of $43k total between principal and interest in 16 months. Decided to dip into our savings a little to help us pay it off quicker. Our original goal was to have it paid off by the first week in November. We just couldn’t stand it anymore. 😂 We will replenish the money we took out of savings this month. Then our next goal is paying off the remaining 6k car loan. Hoping to do that by the end of the year!
Oh, YES!! Huge congratulations to you! That’s amazing! I don’t blame you at all for just wanting to bile rid of it. It starts to weigh you down after a while. After getting that massive chunk paid off, the cat should be easy! 😄 awesome work!! 🎉
Happy Transfer Tuesday! I'm glad you and your family were safe during the storm. Great video as always :) This week, we transferred another $250 to my car fund and are going to start looking at cars next month! It feels good to get to my goal and then spend without feeling guilty.
Hello Katie! Thank you for sharing my transfers from last week Such a great payment towards FedLoan 5!! You are doing great. Imagine all the things you can do with that money once the loans are all paid off!! 🎉🎉😊
The debt tracking really helps show progress. It’s a little bit of extra time. But I worked out a projected debt total from December 2024 to December 2025 and if we’re able to stay on that path, WOW!
I also do a weekly cash savings on the side of like $10-$20 a week for any small emergencies or if something else comes up. It honestly has helped me multiple times. Great update!!!
Great great transfers😊 I agree you did the right thing w/ saving challenge $$. I transferred $154 to HYSA from a few sources sold item on EBay, Ibotta, & paycheck $. $100 to ROTH 😊❤😊
Have your kids scan all your items on ibotta as you put them away. They can activate the offer if one shows up. Give them a cut of the money when you scan the receipt. Easy peasy. I scan as i put in the cart. I however don't shop with kids anymore. 🌞
I had a bigger amount of left over September gas money than I've had for a while and that was been sugar bowled into the 2024 Bigger Ticket Item fund yesterday. The Property Tax fund has reached its temporary cap so September's money went into to the 2024 Bigger Ticket Item fund at the beginning of Sept and now the beginning of Oct also; I should have enough on the leaner/ more exacting side but have time to recoup when we learn of the amount. I still have to figure out the left overs in checking and savings; then put into the 2024 ...fund; probably in the next day or few.
It’s always nice to spend less on gas! I’m glad you were able to funnel that money to your Big Ticket fund! I also love the idea of that fund. Someday I’m going to simplify my sinking funds and just have one big ticket item fund 😄
@@KatieoftheHouse We had/ have a discrete number of items and a priority. We have allowed our priorities to switch around..... This said, as the past 12 plus months have progressed, the usefulness of a utility trailer has been more evident. It and 1 additional item were to be on our next round of bigger purchases. Yesterday we bought one off of Facebook Market Place using 2024 Bigger Ticket Item funds and today we did the licensing, title, and tabs on it. With the old log splitter now working, a new one fell further down the priority list. I am calling it #4 and we're back to collecting for the biggest item which has moved to #5. PS We didn't liquidate the fund but it did take a set back.
Did I catch $1600+ and also $300+ for close to $2000 against Fed loan #5 in this paycheck budget!? Also that Fed loan #5 and Mohela may go away as early as Nov '24 or by Dec '24? Both are super and if Mohela goes away by Dec 25th, I would call that a Christmas present.
Let Helene give you a beneficial gift by donning your boots, taking up your camera or photo taking cell phone then walking your yard. What you are looking for is any extra water not being taken away from the house's foundation followed by any wet spots or pooling water in the yard. Yes, Helene presented an extraordinary amount of water and, may it not happen again. It will also show you any weak spots as well as improvement opportunities in terms of water distribution on your property. Once you see what you've got, you can decide if its worth doing anything about. Or, if youve wondered why there are differences in different spots in the lawn this type of thing can begin to point out why. Again, once you see what's up you can decide if its worth the hassle, bother, work, effort, or cost to change anything.
Great transfers! Fun that Marc hit the limit for social security so that you could pay more towards the highlander and Fedloan5! I can understand that you pulled out the cash from the savings challenges, that will make a huge difference. The Roth IRA transfers are so nice! Well done! Principle and CC payments are great! Ibotta, yeah I agree that having to enter all the information is a hassel, reason why I use equivalent apps less here, but amazing with the $25! Our transfers this week were €4,66 from change to vacation, I transferred €50 from my spending money to my IRA (equivalent). Interest came in €52,14 to EF and for all Q3 €46,22 to the Window Replacement Fund. Also made a €2000 transfer to the Window Replacement Fund. Ugh.
Wow, big window fund transfers this time, Sara! Do you have a lot more to go?! I hope not 😫 And thank you for the encouragement! It is definitely nice to know that his paychecks will be a little fluffier for the rest of this year without paying social security, and I’m hoping er can put that money to good use! 😬
@@KatieoftheHouse yeah. We still need to transfer €10.000 to cover the costs for it. That's just about 1/4th of the windows and doors. Horrible knowing that we still have to do 3/4ths of the house after that at some point. Really hope that you'll be able to use the money to get Fedloan 5 gone and under the 100k.
Great Video ❤I paid $2700 cash for new living room furniture from saving challenges instead of getting it financed.
That’s so awesome, Heather! I get the new furniture feels so good, especially since it’s paid for 😍

Love those sinking funds! Especially with Christmas creeping up so quickly. Nice work, Holly!

I cannot wait to make a debt free budget! That will be so much fun 🤩
Thanks, Barb! 🧡
Hi Katie!! I’m here to celebrate your transfers with you!!
Thanks, Melissa! ❤️❤️

Tracking is so motivating! I love that you called out your expected totals for next year! I hope you can make it happen 🙌🏼😄
Great video, thanks for sharing and keeping me company at work ❤❤❤
Thank YOU so much for watching! 💕

Great update!!!
Oh I love that!
Nice job on your transfers! You will have Fed loan 5 paid off in 2024🎉🎉
Yesss! I hope so!
Great transfer & progress to ur loan woohoo
Thanks, Izzy! 😁😁
Nice job as always! We never use cash as well, nor keep any in our home.
That’s probably smart! 😄
I hit my goal of $10000 towards my car principal this month! I won’t get it paid off this year but very excited for the progress.
That’s amazing progress, Ang! What an awesome milestone 🎉
Awesome job to everyone for all y9ur hard work at tackling all this debt. Hope you have a great day
Thank you, Eva!! 💙
good job you will make all these goals. hope family was all safe from storm
Thank you! It wasn’t too bad here thankfully!

Thank you! I figured it was better than just having it sit around ☺️ awesome job on your transfers this week, Cat! 🙌🏼
Another great transfer video! That was a large amount going to fed loan 5.
Yes! We had a lot of good transfers in September! I’m excited for you to see the new debt balance on Fedloan 5, Debra 😄
You are making big progress on fed loan 5. Well done it will be gone before you know it.
I cannot wait to see it go!

Kudos for making an extra payment with savings challenge money!!
Thank you! It’s a little different feeling when I didn’t actually finish the challenges, but still a win 😆
