A very proud Brit and didn't we half show the world how to celebrate. Gary Barlow you are a very special talented BRITISH superstar, god bless you and god save the Queen..
This is an absolutely great song and showcases just how talented some of our very own English songwriters are. Great lyrics, melody, emotion, harmonisation. It's amazing how powerful music can be - this song makes me almost well up every time.
I absolutely love it! Not because its created for the Queen but because of the stories behind the singers standing on that stage. Great work Gary/Andrew/Gareth.
Considering it was written by Gary Barlow and Andrew Lloyd Webber it's absolutely no surprise that it's an absolutely great song which is testament to their lyrical and musical writing abilities. The power of the music and lyrics is amazing listening to this - even more so with noise-cancelling head phones in - absolutely amazing... This made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up - proud to be British. Some think us British aren't creative or imaginative - listen to this...
This young girl nearly made me cry yesterday, i can honestly say it touched me so much african black people have so much passion and commitment towards music, it honestly felt like crying they have so much respect from me, what actually did nearly make me cry is the fact that different cultures got together and created a beautiful song i think that's how the world should be loving towards one another and at peace, such a beautiful song i respect each and every one of you
I really wish that the official music video for this song wasn't blocked. I came back to watch it again and it's gone. They never cut international fans a break.
Whatever the past, this was a beautiful moment, sorry I had to leave this morning, the atmosphere in St James was great and the rehearsals indicated a good time was to be had later... a good day for this country!
What a special, amazing, crazy earth song. It shows the utter humanity of the world and what is needed in the tough times in life. This song shows harmony between all in the world and shows exactly what the Commonwealth needs, a totally fitting tribute to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and makes me proud to not only be British but to be a member of this glorious world and Commonwealth.
GARRY YOU ARE LEGEND.HATS OFF TO YOU.I HAVE SEEN YOUR JOURNEY THROUGH FOR THIS COMPOSITION ONLY A GENIUS HAVING GOD GIFTED QUALITIES CAN PUT THESE PIECES TOGETHER.
the little girl who starts the song is so beautiful- as soon as she sings your heart melts- then the rest of the brilliant ensemble joins in and the magic continues- wow this was the highlight of the concert for me- the uk should have entered this song for eurovision- oh and finally hats off to the lovely gary barlow whose creativity made it all possible
Delightful and joyous. Everyone is so positive. Quite an achievement. They could have shown a bit more of the slumdog percussionists. They were brilliant.
Such a beautiful song sung so beautifully. Well done to Gary for bringing all these wonderful voices together a pure joy to listen to. As the song ends I always shed a tear, Gary you are a genius.
What makes this great for me is that they actually brought the girls, slum drummers and the aboriginy (Forgot his name) to the UK to sing this. They probably thought they would never get to come here but to do that and sing for the Queen must have been a dream come true for them.
absolutely wonderful- i couldn't listen to it all day- have just ordered the CD- please buy or download officially then the money goes to the commonwealth charities
This beautiful song sums up everything that's great about Britain and the Commonwealth. Thank you Gary Barlow and Andrew Lloyd Webber for creating this amazing tribute to our wonderful, hard working Queen.
Im one of those over-emotional (so my ex tells me) British people.... but I get very emotional watching this clip with choirs and musicians from the Commonwealth and the Military Wives Choir. That guy about 2.50m in with his shrill voice just adds a special touch, its haunting in a way but adds such a lot to the music British stiff upper lip? hell no, sod that, I weep every time I watch this. How could anyone with a heart not love it?
Absolute favourite song. Whenever I'm down, all I need to do is watch this video, and though it brings tears to my eyes, I'm suddenly joyful again. I thank all the people involved in composing and performing such a heart-rendering piece. Thank you and God bless!
What a terrific way to celebrate ... I was so hugely pleased to see so many of the actual performers being there on the stage in front of the Palace. Yayyy!
Love the innocent purity of this song with the huge entourage that comes with it .....Thank you Gary and Lord Webber....Genius 😊....However.....just when you think it could not be beaten....a young lady called Keale Settle just smashed it live for the Queens jubilee opening celebrations ....Lovely to hear it again 😊 x
Totally agree with you! I'm Scots born but my nationality is BRITISH. Being born in England, Scotland, Wales or N Ireland makes your nationality British. Your ethnicity comes from the land you were born and for a large percentage of Brits, that means we have a mixture of at least one or more countries in our background. My surname is an anglicised version of a Welsh name so I must have a little English & Welsh in me & I know I also have some Irish too. British & proud & want to remain that way!
Sing it by Gary Barlow is just great. 9 year 6 are going to be singing this song gary so if u can come to my school. That will be great. Thanks u for putting this song on UA-cam. Your cool
i love it,love it its so touching, like the slum drummers were amazing, the African girl choir and Gurrumul so fantastic(did you know he was blind from birth) its sooooooooo amazing,i wish i could have see it live!the military wives were also great
Those African children are AMAZING! they may not have alot of food or clothes but they are turly lucky to sing live, who ever thinks they are rubbish its just a sign of jelousy... I LOVE YOU CHILDREN!!

Just wonderful ....... sends tingles right through me ... thank you Gary, Andrew, Gareth, all the musicians and the amazing Commonwealth choir ..... Bravo .... bringing people around the world together ....
I have no words to describe this song... other than amazing and moving.... well done to everyone involved in the song. :) I love it! Makes me proud to be British watching this.
My favorite part of the night! To see it come all together live on stage in front of the Queen and the rest of the world was great! For Gary to organize this concert and then create this masterpiece to honor the Queen, I'm sure I'm not the only one who salutes you Captain Barlow. :)
my daughter and the rest of yr6 leaving assembly sang this ,not a dry eye in the school hall ,was videoed hopeing it will be on you tube,,i love this as well properly beacuse iam an miliary wife,
Ok.. WOW! Doesn't matter if you like the Queen or not (I do) or if you're British or not (I'm not), but this is an amazing song! All those on stage have great voices & those kids are truly adorable! Listening to it gave me goosebumps, the whole 4:20 minutes long :) *clicks repeat button*
I got to admit I did well up at one point, especially at all the kids who were playing the instruments and singing at the looks on Andrew Lloyd Webber and Gary Barlow's face when they were playing, especially Gary's :')
LOVE this, LOVED the concert, absolutely FANTASTIC night, thanks for sharing this...just heard another track by JEGISUS called WHEN IS LOVE NOT ENOUGH TO SURVIVE, wish this had been played at the concert too!, if anyone gets a few spare minutes give it a listen, deep lyrics and immense voice

This type of event makes me proud to be British. Thousands of people together uniting to celebrate her Majesty's life. #longlivetheQueen
I absolutely love it! Not because its created for the Queen but because of the stories behind the singers standing on that stage. Great work Gary/Andrew/Gareth.
This is on the late Queen's list of favourite music.

If we can produce anything a fraction as good as this for eurovision - we wouldnt come last. Sir Barlow to write the next eurovision ;)
What makes this great for me is that they actually brought the girls, slum drummers and the aboriginy (Forgot his name) to the UK to sing this.
