    Hello, salad is amazing with coconut. My mom in the 70"s would make it and I use it a lot for a dessert dish.

    I would put the corn on a steamer tray, it doesn’t need to be in the water. I use the silicone sling and half cup or 3/4 cup water.

    I never would have thought to add both the eggs and the potatoes in the Instant Pot at the same time, that is a huge time saver. Several times each Summer my wife and I make both macaroni and potato salad along with deep fried chicken.
    I cook the pasta in the Instant Pot and the eggs next, but this time I'll add the eggs and the potatoes together. Thanks for the great tip. :)

    One thing I like to make are Fiery Dorrito Flavoured Chinese Prawn Crackers. !!!! I fry the Prawn Crackers and when they cool down I put them in a plastic bag. Then I use a tub of MRC Spicy Chipotle Chilli Coating ( from Amazon) and shake the bag up. You only need about a tablespoon for a huge bag of Prawn Crackers. The tub will last for years !!!! (I also use Nutritional Yeast Powder, which tastes like Cheese !!! Or Beef Stock Powder, Or Nutritional Yeast abd Tomato Powder etc.)

    Love doing corn on the cob in the IP. I cook mine in a cup of milk with 2 tbsps of butter I also break the cobs in half and stand them up on the trivet. It is the best....creamy and buttery. U don't need to add butter after cooking. I only ever cook my potatoes in the IP and I put eggs on top of the potatoes as well when making potato salad. I mix mustard with miracle whip for my potato salad and I add garlic and herb seasoning, red onions, and real bacon bits. I always do my baked potatoes and mashed potatoes in the IP as well.

    Love! Love! Love watching your videos! Thank you so much for putting your precious time into these videos and sharing "really great recipes"! Quick question, do you not use salt so that it can cook into the food? I know for some they can't do a lot of sodium but a little sure makes a huge difference in the overall flavor. 😊😊😊

    • @SixSistersStuff
      @SixSistersStuff  2 роки тому +1

      You can easily add salt to any of the recipes if you feel it needs it. We don't use a lot of salt with our family. Just a personal preference.

    Throw your corn in the microwave husk, silk and all time the ear for approx 4 min. Cut end off, next the husk and it peels easily off all the silk. Of course the more ears the more time. The cobs cut easily after being cooked in case you want halves. Love my I.P. but prefer corn in the microwave faster method.

    the monkey buns look yummy but I have to limit carbs 😣 The green jello salad is such a throwback to the 70s LOL. We had two molded jello salads that appeared frequently.... orange jello with shredded carrots and pineapple, and red jello with chopped cranberries and celery. Crazy.

      I googled "homemade canned biscuit dough" and among many results found this (I didn't watch it): ua-cam.com/video/ZZ4G6hWKuIk/v-deo.html Canned biscuits are ready-made chilled biscuits you just have to bake. You open the "can," which is thin cardboard bordered/enclosed by a metal disc on each end, by pressing on the cardboard's seam with the end of a knife or other utensil, and unroll the cardboard can, and the biscuits are stacked inside).
