I was so upset finding this out, I have loved my Berkey for many years, thinking I am giving my family clean water only to find out they are scammers and nowhere near as quality as they say.
I'm curious too. I just purchased the AquaCrest filters that are compatible with Berkey. I chose AquaCrest because they have high ratings for their under sink RO Systems, and I figure they know how to make a good filter without trying to boast the same claims as Berkey.
It is absolutely disgusting how this kind of shoddy manufacturing claims have been allowed. I deal a civil suit coming. I bought berkey as a way ay to benefit my health LONGTERM.
Filters are interchangeable! I have a cheap vessel from Amazon with Waterdrop filters currently. I’ll replace with the British filters when the time comes. Thank you for all the research you did!!
Upset with entire fabrication of effectiveness for both black and fluoride filters… nothing is tested by NSF and Berkey’s own tests do not go to 3,000 gallons for black filters, or 1,000 gallons for fluoride. We spent a lot of money on backup filters and it is all advertising hype not legitimate tests!! Makes me sick!!
Thanks for taking the time to make the videos and hold the fire to the feet of these companies. Its admirable to be considered about being wrong, but you're fighting the good fight. Can't expect perfection fighting against companies with years of experience and money backing their tactfully worded advertising to mislead their consumers. These companies should be transparent and easily provable that they're within compliance. My 2 cents. My guess is that if you receive any legitimate response, they're all going to use the excuse "we are trying stay competitive and can't compete with the lower cost manufacturers that sell without meeting the tested standards". Then how most people are far too lazy or don't take the time to research things. Soo they buy whatever is cheaper or makes bold enough claims without looking into them..... but this is no different than what is happening with out food nutrition labels. Like a 100 different names for sugar, bs hidden within "natural flavors", etc, etc..
So when is the class action lawsuit? I bought numerous Berkley Systems and filters. I’m really upset and feel like I was not only ripped but I’ve put my family in danger. This is completely unacceptable! I feel so ashamed that I had recommended these systems to friends and family. I’ll let them know and I’ll ask them to join the class action suit as well.
Glad to hear you are sceptical of claims made without proper testing. I mean, recent things were pressed on to us with a claim of "safe and effective" with only having a few short months of testing. Imagine what companies would do if the government gave them liability immunity.
Thank you for your reviews. I checked NSF's website and did not find a listing for Aqua Tru in its listings of companies with NSF certifications. Do you know if AquaTru's countertop RO system is NSF certified under another business name linked with this product? Thanks!
I couldn’t get berkey fluoride filters because of supply chain issues - so I bought ones of Amazon - they might even be better - but in not holding my breath!
Dose anyone have a use for the Berkeys, can we use them to make our own water purifer? i have filters i have not opened yet i juset received in the last few months do they take them back? what can we use in them that is safe. Help
Congrats on the recent birth of your son! Looking over these comments it looks like a. we need a support group b. many will want to join the class action lawsuit if it continues it's path through courts. I hope you can get the support and time you need to keep up this project --- you are doing a great service here!

FYI I reached out to Zerowater in hope of learning if their filters can be used in a Berkey-type of gravity fed system. If/when I hear more I will update Mr. Beaty. I "own" equipment but haven't found a good spot to set it up so have my investment sitting in a box right now. Many months too late to return to Amazon, too. My sympathies to all of you who are long term Berkey fans and who like Mr. B are experiencing this trauma first hand. A solution is out there, we just need to persist and seek it.
What is telling to me is there has been no actual response from Berkey? LDS prepper made a rebuttal but it was mostly emotional and lacked data. If Roberts claims are inaccurate I would expect a strong response from Berkey. If his videos are defamatory or harmful then I would expect legal action. At minimum a cease and desist letter with some rebuttal. I am very sure they are aware of these videos.
bro I saw your video talking a about these filters just lying about their stuff. I just bought an aquacera nearly for 300 and after seeing that video, I don't know what to do
I’m so upset that it is leeching aluminum oxcide into the water from the aluminum in the filter - Berkey said it’s fine ( they even made a video) but testing on rats says otherwise -
It seems to me that we have all been conned by Berkey and it's claims for both black and white filters, it looking more like a big con to me, thanks for the information UK 🇬🇧 Berkey owner.

Did you find another filter that fits the Berkey unit that is NSF certified? I own an Alexa Pure Pro Unit. So disappointing.

SO which water filter SHOULD we buy? Which is the "safest" or follows through with their claims? Thank you!
Thank you for your service to all of us. Really.
How much money had i wasted...years of b.s. geepers.

Is there a way we can test for ourselves?

Wow. I just purchased an AquaTru. I haven’t received it yet. 🤦🏾♀️

Nice analogies! 😆

You annoy me so much, can you tell what the solution is instead of just whining.
What filter should we use then?
