As I said in your previous video, I have a Yashica D with a Yashikor lens. As it is a triplet I find I get the best results at f8, f11. Shooting between f3.5 and f5.6 you will get the dreamy effect at the edges because of the lens design. But with some shots that effect works. I hope you are setting the shutter speed before cocking the shutter. Else you will break the shutter.
@DavidWilliams7037A ohhh good tips!!! I had no clue about the shutter! I’ll be doing that! I appreciate you letting me know! Any reason why it does break?
@@JadenWhite Sorry I don't know why. Probably just the way the shutter is made. It is mentioned in the manual. BTW thanks to you I took the D out today. Be interested to see the results when I develop the film.
@DavidWilliams7037A ahh yeah I’ll look into it! Also that’s great to hear! What film did you shoot with? I might throw some cinestill 400D in mine for tomorrow
I have this in Italy...the best Is f8 and f11
Damn these photos look dreamy AF.
I try 🤓
3:00 minutes...what film? Looks rich. I have never shot color on my Yashica D.
All the pictures are Kodak Gold 200! I think the light hit just right in that photo
@@JadenWhite Yes, beautiful. Thank you.
Anyone else using a Yashica D?
