Another important thing to mention is that at high %, Dark Pit arrows will force a tech, which can make killing a lot easier as you have side-b, dash grab, dash attack, and more to tech chase and kill off of.
I prefer pit over dark pit for the reason of that if they're above me, I can juggle with pit's arrows to tack on more and more damage to slam up air on them a lot easier due to flinch removing their momentum. Your points are fully valid but I've gotten much more used to Pit... I would say Dark Pit wasn't necessary and to make the Ultimate Pit, just give Pit's arrows Dark pits damage and knockback while giving Pit's Side B the knockback angle of Dark Pit's, and suddenly Pit jumps a few places up on tier lists.
a rlly good pit that has mastered arrows is still hella scary. I also find that when I'm fighting a peach/daisy i can hit them a lot more while they are floating as pit due to me being able to curve the arrows more. Snapback's arrow game as pit is insane btw. Check him out
I agree with your analysis, sniping with Pit is more satisfying, but I also find myself having more success with Dark Pit & think he's a better character, the arrows being more threatening & faster (harder to react especially online) make his neutral significantly better in a lot of matchups. Also something worth mentioning is that sniping people offstage with DPit can straight up kill them sometimes, while Pit's rarely does because of the worse knockback/angle. Pit's arrows seem mostly better at gimping bad/low recoveries, but I may just go offstage to edgeguard these anyway... (Marcina was a very good example to bring up however, sniping them offstage is very effective while edgeguarding "traditionally" isn't that easy) One good thing that Pit has though is his side-B putting opponents in juggle situation after hitting them with ledgejump -> side-B for example, or after punishing a landing with it, while DPit would only send them to the other side of the stage. But I still think DPit's side-B is overall better.
I’m not very good at super smash bros but I’ve been picking it up recently and found I was most comfortable with pit/dpit and Rhee videos have been helping me hone my skills a ton^^
Agreed. Dark Pit arrows are so much better. I would probably like Pit’s a lot more if you could shoot upwards a lot faster. But as it is, they’re weak and slower, and unless it’s ganon, it’s not gonna gimp anyone
@@achickennugget4842 you can curve pit's more but they don't really have enough knock back to really matter. Unless you're playing against someone with a bad recovery anyway
I don't understand..This smash player is Personally My favorite. How does he not have more subscribers.🤯 Literally he Goes in depth into characters🧐 Plus he Badass rocking that Beard. Love the Content Man! More Please👊👏
I think Pits arrow is so much better than dark pit there’s way more you can do with them and to me the side b is such a bad and punishing move i rarely throw it out outside of recovery mixups
I respect your opinion on how Dark Pit is better, but personally I find Pit being better. The arrows are very flexible and can be used in a lot of situations (ex edge gaurding, which is what the Pits are best at). I can understand why the stronger arrows can be better, but whenever I switch from Pit to Dark Pit I lose more arrow kills more often because of the arrows not really moving all too much. The reason Dark Pit's arrows are faster is because of how hard they hard to hit, and Pit's arrows are definitely easier to hit and can kill early if the opponent isn't expecting it, especially if said opponent is below the stage.
The thing is, a lot of the case where arrow can edge guard. Pits can just jump off and edge guard instead. Also I noticed that arrow edge guard only works on specific characters. Most characters doesn’t die unless I specifically take away their jump with the pit arrow.
@@haruhidaso that does leave you wide open to be attacked though, and its more of an edge guarding option then a edge guarding requirement. Though I think it's more of a "leave the enemy with no jumps with arrows, go down to them and finish them off with other attacks before they can recover" type of attack, which pit arrows do mostly with lower recoveries.
@@whydoitrystuff But Pits going down for edge guard is relatively risk free because Pit can come back from anywhere so counter edgeguard doesn't happen too often. Plus actually going down has much higher reward than hitting them with arrows. Hitting a FAir off stage most likely means dead opponent. You say it leaves you wide open attack, buf the risk js heavi!y in your favor when edgeguarding

Play dark pit on stages with small side blastzones like town and pit on stages with low celilings like ps2.

@@achickennugget4842 you can curve pit's more but they don't really have enough knock back to really matter. Unless you're playing against someone with a bad recovery anyway
Tyler Hunley their recovery doesn’t matter if you know how to edgeguard though, 3 or 4 arrows and a fair can kill really well above 80%
One note I was thinking I would use dark pit side B when side blast zones are closer while I use pit when top blast zones are lower
Dark Pit is my most playable character in this game. I'm also a Pit player was well.
I pick dark if I want to kill off the side and pit if I want the top and I decide off of the blastzones since you pick the stage first

You da man for this great content, thanks dabuz
Who else is a dark pit main Trynna see soemthing
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Ayy
Yours truly
Dark Pit exclusively
I prefer Dark Pit against Chrom because his side B armor wrecks Chrom’s up B recovery if you can force him low.
I like to do that but not advised in serious play cuz the wrong timing can make him spike you instead
You meant Pitty or Pittoo?
He also has better colors
Yeah thats definitely true. Dark pits colors are way better
That's honestly what made me go with dark pit over pit in the very beginning.
dark pit is life >

Is Dark pit good against G&W?

I like pit better but that’s probably because my friend is a rob main and I hit him with like 7 arrows every time he is off stage lmao
Tht dog is so fuckin cute >:((((
Pit or Dark Pit?
Bofum
Dubuz!
I love Dark Pit way more.
Pit arrows are more fun :)
I think getting kills and knocking down are more fun but to each their own 🤷♀️
Dark pit for dtilt nair sideb stuff
@ProTheGrammer sideb isnt true but dtilt nair or fair is i believe sideb just looks so cool offstage
Pittoo arrows do indeed fly faster.
I totally picked up pit bc of you
Thx!
dpit side b vs wii fit who likes to hang by the ledge
If Final smashes are in the picture at all. Pit, period. Pit's final smash is 100x better than dark pit's.
I miss Pit's 3 sacred treasures from Smash 4
Dark pit heck yes
