I have that tool and i have been trying to load slugs but the crimp seems to always have a low spot and the start of a wrinkle I don't know how to describe it other than the look of a candle that has wax starting to come off the side. I have tried to crimp less but still getting that problem. I'm doing lee driver slugs with no overshot card. Could the lack of card be the problem? On mobile please excuse my grammatical errors.
@@ReLoadersBench I have been thinking about buying one, but I will probably wait to get the Lee version fr the history. Trolling ebay, but will have to wait for pandemic pricing to pass. The only thing I can’t make myself is the sizer and the crimp tool. I am going to try using a pipe to hand size using the die from my Lee Load All. Fun projects
@@texpatriot8462 I didn't know Lee made an old school roll crimp tool. I enjoy trolling ebay for old reloading gear. Just picked up a Lee Crimp Started still in original packaging from the ~60's.
I'm not quite sure there is enough length/room. If you look at how I manipulated the 2 3/4" hull and the amount of room "left", I don't know there is enough space for a hull 3/4" longer. If it can, it would be a tight fit.
I like the looks of the polished version. I will have to hope my Lee Load All doesn't break, the tendentious in my thumbs would never let me use it :-{{{
Or leave this as is for the situation that may call for it and pick up a ExactaRoll Double-Pin Roll Crimper from Ballistic Products that's designed for chucking into a drill. Why ruin one tool to fit the needs another tool can address?
Do not buy this tool. First, it came without the crimper, then I got a replacement. Used once, and the bars on the side just snapped. Newer style is junk
I got one last year and the same thing happened. I cut the rod the roll crimp piece is attached to and use it in a drill now. Not a total loss I guess.

Still available on Amazon if you REALLY want one. $30. I think it's not a good choice.

Zakrumka ruchnaya --- hand twist
Gotta love the no bullshit packaging.
No longer available. I got and antique hand roller as a back up to my set up.
Got the crimper but now I can't get makins
I have always wondered how those things would perform.
I was pleasantly surprised with its simplicity and ease of use.
@@ReLoadersBench I got curious and found a video from the manufacturer. That black sheet is a sample of material for making overshot cards.
@@texpatriot8462 - seems a bit flimsy for overshot cards, maybe not as flimsy in 3/4" circles ;-)

How can i buy this from India..?
It helps if u put a little oil on ur finger and go around the edge of the shell. 3 in 1 or any oil
Great tip, thanks.
Your thoughts on this vs the other type of roll crimper, the manual one that can mount to a 2x4?
Best sales video ever, everyone wants to prove they can do it better than you lol
Would that tool work for 3 1/2" shells??

Link for crimper please!
search "Russian 12GA ShotShell reloading crimp" on ebay and you'll find it (didn't post link at it may change based on listing)
How about a cigar cutter as a trimmer
I was gonna use the hand one to make Mini shells
Link for it ??
