How low, from the bottow plate, can it come down? Would be interested to know if it can get low enough to crimp 2" shortshells. Disreguard. Demonstrated the solution @6:30.
Sweet! I bought a vintage craftsman press for $8 at a thrift store that clamps a drill in place. It works great but I have to mess with getting the drill level. I have a 4 pin roller. Works great on my 10 gauge loads.
I also load 10 gauge I think my roll crimper is from precision. I think it only has two pins but it works great. I’ve seen those clamp on drills I think it should work pretty good
Lol …down the rabbit hole… it is a nice little drill press though fits on the bench nice…. Let me know how that role crimper works from the TRN. THANKS
Waiting for mine to come in now. I was using a drill attachment type drill press it was kind of hokey and kind of pulled off to one side so it was really hard to keep level pressure really looking forward to this thank you for posting your video and leaving info. BTW, where do you get the russian roll crimper?
That press could give you a manicure to the second knuckle at the same time. To unstable on my feet now adays to use a belt driven machine without a cover.
Cute 🥰 little drill press. But it sounds like the motor was dragging down when you put the pressure to it. Let us know in six months how it is holding up.
The drill press has no manufacture name on it but I got it off eBay oh you have to do is put in mini drill press. I will be loading some Russian slugs soon

@@maxxbear5014 yeah it works awesome for a seven dollar used press. I like yours better though it’s pretty fancy.
Can u lower the RPM on that mini press? It seems like it’s going too fast for Roll crimping, which creates too much heat too fast.
No, you can’t but I have never had a problem with it
I just got a roll crimp from TRN. Now I need one of these mini drill press. The rabbit hole just keeps getting deeper.

Oil the hulls makes it roll much better .
Amazing it’s perfect for the bench I will look into it thanks for sharing
It works good I was making mini shells the other day with it worked perfect
Awesome thanks
How much did it cost you?
I just ordered mine yesterday January 19th 2023 and it's $77

On ebay
That’s a cool little drill press. I bet you have a lot more space now
It’s just a little bigger than like a mayonnaise jar takes up no space at all
@@maxxbear5014 good luck with it!
How is the Mini drill press holding up 1 year on
Still running and roll crimping.

Still running strong
@@maxxbear5014Is it still crimping hulls today? Pretty cool space saving footprint.
😀 it looked bigger til ya grabbed it ! that's neat and handy 👍...rusky for the win
It’s actually funny how small it is but it works pretty good
Who makes the press? Where did you get it? Also, vids on the Russian slugs please. Both loading and shooting!! Thanks! ;~)

Pretty cool 😎
A cute little press . I have the BPI crimper . I wasn't impressed with it either .
And the bpi is the most expensive.
That is so cute I have to get one 👍
Looks like just the ticket for roll crimps. I wouldn't use it for anything else though.
I don’t know I’m gonna try it for trimming hulls next.
That is perfect for that, cool little deal there. The Russians did it again, lol!
Russians. Lol
@@maxxbear5014 it would have been cool to see the unboxing. Everyone likes seeing packages being opened.
@@lynnh7694 Everyone but me I hate watching packages being open
@@maxxbear5014 Come on guy, everyone gets fired up when a package arrives. Opening it is the icing on the cake.
@@lynnh7694 you could always buy one yourself and do your own unpackaging video who knows I may
