I had to chuckle about the boys putting dirty laundry in with the clean clothes. I remember doing the same thing as a kid but I did it thinking that if I didn’t do it properly, Mom would stop asking me to do things around the house (yes I’m embarrassed now but I’m just keeping it real). It worked for quite awhile until she caught on. My husband tried the same thing with me when we first got married but he was dealing with a pro hahaha. Absolutely love your videos!!! I wish you always posted daily videos but I know that is too much to ask for so I’m just going to enjoy this series while it lasts. A day with Sophia is like a day without sunshine!

Laughter is what makes a home a beautiful and desirable place to be. That is what I love about you and keeps me watching, we all have struggles and your ability to laugh through life is a gift. HI Sofia, I'm certainly not perfect by any means. But when I do laundry , I fold each batch as the dryer stops and put them away.That way I never have to deal with it again. We have a 4 story house house and the washer and dryer are in the basement. So when I hear the dryer alarm go off I do it right away. I hate laundry. So this way the clothes are wrinkle free. You have inspired me to make a quilt. I love to sew but have never made a quilt. Yours are so beautiful,I must try. Thanks so much for everything you do for us.I can't wait to see your videos every day. Many prayers said for you and your family,and your fur baby's too.lol

Yes I made it for my daughter and she loved it but I made with the Tex/mex cheese and cheddar cheese and did a couple layers like the first time you showed it 🙂🙂🙂
Loved the video! I see you are getting scraps so I suggest Bonnie Hunters utube and books to help you use them. I love scrap quilts and have made many. She also has a small ironing station using a TV tray. Your quilt looks great. You inspire me. By the way I am 72 and cleaning is harder as you get old so this method is so well .Hugs.

I’ve Not folded dirty laundry yet but just found forgotten towels in washer for days. And have started to put away dirty dishes many times. Or forgotten to turn off the oven. Or take the rolls out before they burned. And left pizza in oven overnight once. Duh. Attribute this to cluttered mind, not stupidity. Hee hee. Your quilt top is gorgeous as are your squares. Sophia, watching you talk about quilting is a joy, but brings so many memories. My mom and husband bought me a Singer years ago. The purpose was to pass along my mom's talent and passion for quilting. (You could not walk through my parent's home without coming out with pants covered in threads lol) We made 4 squares together, each using a different technique. My mom then became ill, first with breast cancer then other ailments that continue to attack her body after chemo. I framed those 4 squares and have them hanging in my entryway. I can't bear to bring out that sewing machine right now. I hope I will someday. Thank you for helping me through.
I'm so sorry for your loss Dawn; I lost my own mother over 26 years ago and still miss her. When you are ready you will find joy in getting out the machine and remembering all the happy times with your mum. However it is a process. Here's to you for getting on with the process!

I once took the dirty sheets off my sons bed put them on the bedroom floor next to the clean sheets left the room for a couple of minutes came back in to make the bed only to make it with the dirty sheets i just took off 😫 i dont know where i left my brain that day. 🤪

I don't know if you have ever tried the Bacon flavored Ritz crackers? They are delicious 😋 especially as toppings for casseroles. I always have a box in the cupboard. They remind me of the Nabisco "Bacon Thins" crackers when I was a child in the 80's that have been discontinued long ago.

Folding dirty laundry is nothing. Why would you expect it to be dirty if it is in the clean spot? Don't take the blame for that one! Your quilts are beautiful. I'm glad you get time to sew. It is a form of therapy for me. I discovered a facebook site called Darlene Michaud.She does quilts by the dozens and they are simple and beautiful. I swear she makes a quilt in a day. always love your videos Sophia and since consistency/maintenance/routines are where I can't seem to keep up you are giving me hope!! but in order to get there I really think it's all about not having clutter in the house, which for me is still an uphill battle..thanks for the motivation!
I fold my clothes as soon as they come out of the dryer. If piled in a basket they get wrinkled, I don't see the point of doing that. I keep a rod with hangers next to the dryer and dry tshirts, regular shirts, pants, all go on hangers immediately. To each his own of course but I find this way to be the easiest.
😂😂😂😂😂 my son had removed the clean clothes from the dryer and into the basket next to the washing machine. Husband thought it was dirty clothes and put his stinking socks and clothes in it. I came home and asked my son if he had removed the clothes from the dryer and he said yes it was in the basket. Grabbed the basket, took it upstairs with stinking socks wafting it’s odour under my nose. I couldn’t understand why, thinking maybe the washing machine wasn’t turned on and he removed it still unwashed. Brought the whole thing back down stairs to wash and found the clean clothes under the dirty ones! Had to wash them again!!! Bloody things!
I had to watch twice. I love that dirty laundry part. When my day's so-so, I think, 'Well, one thing, at least I haven't yet gone so far to start folding my dirty laundry!' So funny you are! Unsuspecting...isn't that the way it goes? The day's overtaken by everything we never suspect! My friend invited me for pedicure 3 weeks ago, so I agree. Then it turned into today her emergency call to get ahold of me to see about her schedule the day before...should she go ahead and shop? What's for lunch after? Too Much!!! Haha! Folding the dirty laundry! No judgement, I've been there. I don't know if it's lack of sleep or what, but my "mom brain" needs help. I'm forgetting things, losing things... I dropped a thread bobbin the other day, but I didn't hear it hit the floor, so searched the table i was using... must have searched (and cursed!) for ten minutes looking for it on the table, and there it was, rolling into view. I have no idea where it was hiding on that table, but it was! I'm trying to clean up my diet to see if it helps. :)
You didn't fail, it was your sons...but now you can tease them that their failure to put the laundry in the right place caused you to fold dirty laundry!

I don't quilt, but I love watching it being done.
I fold my clothes as soon as they come out of the dryer. If piled in a basket they get wrinkled, I don't see the point of doing that. I keep a rod with hangers next to the dryer and dry tshirts, regular shirts, pants, all go on hangers immediately. To each his own of course but I find this way to be the easiest.
I will definitely have to try that Mac and cheese.. that looked delicious

😂😂😂😂😂 my son had removed the clean clothes from the dryer and into the basket next to the washing machine. Husband thought it was dirty clothes and put his stinking socks and clothes in it. I came home and asked my son if he had removed the clothes from the dryer and he said yes it was in the basket. Grabbed the basket, took it upstairs with stinking socks wafting it’s odour under my nose. I couldn’t understand why, thinking maybe the washing machine wasn’t turned on and he removed it still unwashed. Brought the whole thing back down stairs to wash and found the clean clothes under the dirty ones! Had to wash them again!!! Bloody things!

I had to watch twice. I love that dirty laundry part. When my day's so-so, I think, 'Well, one thing, at least I haven't yet gone so far to start folding my dirty laundry!' So funny you are! Unsuspecting...isn't that the way it goes? The day's overtaken by everything we never suspect! My friend invited me for pedicure 3 weeks ago, so I agree. Then it turned into today her emergency call to get ahold of me to see about her schedule the day before...should she go ahead and shop? What's for lunch after? Too Much!!! Haha! Folding the dirty laundry! No judgement, I've been there. I don't know if it's lack of sleep or what, but my "mom brain" needs help. I'm forgetting things, losing things... I dropped a thread bobbin the other day, but I didn't hear it hit the floor, so searched the table i was using... must have searched (and cursed!) for ten minutes looking for it on the table, and there it was, rolling into view. I have no idea where it was hiding on that table, but it was! I'm trying to clean up my diet to see if it helps. :)
