Welcome back to more Flylady cleaning (at your request!) I am starting a 28 day cleaning routine challenge for the month of February - I will be filming almost everyday to guide you through my routines and how I maintain my home, though there will be some relapses here and there. Because, you know, life happens!

How can anyone dislike any of Sophia's videos? She puts her all into her videos plus working full time and family responsibilities, cooks everyday, etc. Sheesh......

Woot Woot! Sophia, in case you were wondering....you were driving that train girl! You absolutely flew through your house. What an awesome reward for all of your hard work.....a beautiful clean house!
You’re kicking butt, Sophia! I know you’re frustrated with how long it takes, but I think one of the things that makes it take longer in your house is the fact that so much of your home has hard floors and you have to vacuum AND mop (versus carpeting that you just have to vacuum). My friend owns a residential cleaning company and she charges more in homes with primarily hard floors because it takes longer. Just something to consider when you’re setting expectations for yourself. Keep up the good work! :)
I love seeing Willie in your videos. He seems to be so sweet and always wants to help.
Maybe your boys can change their own sheets that will cut your time down a little bit
Congratulations, under two hours. Yeah! Your house looks so good. Since doing the flylady, keeping up everyday, yours house looks cleaner and shinier than your marathon cleaning in a day. I am so proud of you. Keep up the good work.

I have to say that even though I value listening to all your wisdom truly seeing the change day in and day out has inspired me the most. I went back and watched through some of your 30 bags in 30 days and to see just how far you’ve come in your journey since then has me so hopeful! My house is much smaller so if you can do it, I can for sure do it! Thank you sincerely for all your hard work and being transparent. I think we all appreciate it far more than you know.

Sophia! You're deep cleaning the sink and counter and vacuuming the corners. I'm telling you like you don't know lol but,seriously, the weekly home blessing is so much less. Vacuuming and mopping is only in the areas you walk on. There's no sink cleaning since that's part of your daily routine. I know you can get this to an hour.
1. Clean all the mirrors, quickly.
2. Wash the bed clothes
3. Take out all the garbage cans and reline them.
4. Vacuum only where people walk...no corners or under chairs or under beds. (Sweep on hard floors)
5. Mop, only where people walk.
6. Dust quickly, don't move anything. For those delicate things use a feather duster or fluffy swiffer.
You're freaking done! It's not to be a deep clean. Nothing needs to be moved.
I sure you know this. I just feel like this is more than a weekly blessing.
You can get this under an hour, easy. Don't move anything when you dust/clean.
Debbie King agree about the sinks and toilets because I really don't get why they need to be done daily. But she does have two dogs so I understand the vacuuming. Maybe not mopping the corners each time but definitely getting the fur balls each time.
Oh yes! I have 2 big dogs. It's like having 2 toddlers. No joke.

Hi Sophia! I invested in a fly lady feather duster to use instead of the mitt. I vacuum as needed and mop spots where needed. Your weekly home blessing is much more involved than mine. You are an inspiration! My zone for the next week has already been started. Go Willy!

It is exactly as you describe, a joy to be in a clean and decluttered home. It has taken me years to get to this point and the last two with your example and inspiration has been the catalyst that propelled me to where I am today. Great job! I love watching your videos. My favorite part is watching you in fast motion clean. Don't take that out! You can easily shave off 15 minutes if you just dust the tops of the furniture and don't move anything. Do the deep dusting during the zones.

You are TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! Good for you! Thank you for the inspiration; I'm hoping in 8 months (that will be August 2018) I can do it too! I decluttered a drawer and planned my meals and cleaned the kitchen so it is ready for tomorrow morning. Yay me! Of course I didn't make my bed to day or get dressed, but I have this past week! Progress is really 2 steps forward one step back, but I'm still making progress.

What a fun challenge and improvement from last week! Your home blessing hour has been a fun mental challenge for me. :) If you want to challenge yourself to make it an hour, it's possible. Tweaking ideas-
1. Technically, swish and swipe isn't home blessing hour. Mirror, trash and floor would be in bathrooms. Kitchen would be trash and floor. (quick mop) No counters or wiping the fridge.
2. Fly Lady differentiates between detailed dusting and quick dusting, detailed mop and quick mop, detailed vacuum and quick vacuum. If you don't move anything to dust, mop, or vacuum, that saves time and is what she refers to for home blessing hour. Detailed dusting, mopping, and vacuuming is zone cleaning.
3. Some suggested task by task, and you mentioned stairs would be an issue. Maybe task by task for each floor?

Hey Sophia you can delegate the sheets, vaccum,dust and windows to your boys in their bedrooms 😉 i do it with my boys 😎 so 2 less rooms next week girl 😍 you are doing so great! Remember after all this work, put a facemask, make some tea, put your feet up and relax 🤗🤔😁😍byeeee

Love you Sophia.house looks great! That was not a Fly Lady weekly home blessing as she describes it. But, you are the CEO of your home and can do what’s right for you. I’m concerned that those learning Fly Lady would be confused and overwhelmed by this video . I especially liked seeing Willie pitching in and helping Mom. He’s a great kid! 💕

Every year - I tend to forget to take down one Christmas item, I just leave them there u til Christmas rolls up again. It’s funny how some Christmas things just looks lovely in one place - the greenery on your entertainment centre - just looks lovely.
Your house is looking AMAZING Sophia!!!! I hope to get there one day soon. Still working on decluttering as we have been in our house 26 years this March. It’s not as big as yours but it’s now only hubby and I. There are 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room, playroom for the grandsons laundry room and a family room. Then we have a crawlspace as big as the house and it’s 5ft so that is where we keep all our crap. Plus there is stuff in our garage to go through. I’m slowly working my way through it. Took some things to the thrift store yesterday. Keep up the good work!!!! Look forward to your videos.
I've been watching you and other youtubers doing the Flylady but by far you do more in your home blessing hour than most. They do more spot cleaning on glass, hoovering and mopping. The house looks great though xXx Donna U.K.

Have you considered delegating the kids chores? Kids could strip their beds after waking on Sundays and dusting is one of the easiest tasks for children. Would save you 40+minutes each week!
Still inspiring me Sophia. I had to spend my Sunday cleaning/decluttering the pantry and fridge because of an ant problem. 3 hours later. .... No ants! I'm sure they'll be back tomorrow, it's summer here and ants are part of the season. Looking forward to decluttering the bedrooms.
one thing i do when dusting and vacuuming in the winter, i open a window to change they air.not so much in the summer unless it is raining .

Wow Sophia that was great! And I like the playful way you deal with the cleaning and don't beat yourself down for not doing it in one hour. I think Flylady said making it fun will getting it done and she is so right about this! I love your channel. Can you get your family involved? We get everything done in 45 minutes 2000 sq ft (give or take). Delegate some things to the kids. It's important for them to learn to clean as well. I was a lot like you, didn't have them do anything and now I'm paying it for it. My daughter is 16 and learning all of this now. She is in AP classes, dance and dance team. She has a full schedule but if I send her to college and she doesn't know how to organize or clean .....it's gonna be bad. Lol
Sophie, don't do the bathrooms for the WHB hour. They are your morning or evening routine. That way you'll get it done in under 1:45.

Wow....you did great....you have come a long way....amazing....Ive been doing the flylady for 3 months...Im slowly decluttering my hidden spaces when Im in the Zones...kitchen & bathrooms are done....next month in Zone 3 Im decluttering my storage room....yes ...I HAVE A PLAN...but my house has never been so clean...Im loving the process...its wonderful to see how this really works for someone....I love in my kitchen during ZONE cleaning I run out of things to do...cant wait to say that in the rest of my home...Im learning to fly🤗
That was so Sweet when Willie stopped to see what you were up to and tried a hand at the vacuum. My youngest is also my biggest helper. Today I had help in 3 rooms! Do you believe that? And last Friday I got something Unbelievable! A Robot vacuum, so far, I am loving it. It's a 'bobsweep' I found unopened at a deep discount (80% off) & I'd never ever even heard of it. He's doing a wonderful job and not too difficult to learn to use. So far, he's just working on this one floor. He is doing tile, hardwood, and carpets and hasn't got stalled. Fun ~ I had been to the lung doctor and got some news, this little vacuum is a God-send. Thank You for helping Bob! I needed it! Have a great week! Looking Great.
