it's not even the actual song from the movie! I think it's a cheap reference. Like when they used "blue skies" with Data in ST:Picard simply because Data ONCE sang that song
Keaton is still iconic. Winona is just as enchanting as ever. Ortega is a perfect new addition. And they didn't need to cram the entire plot of the film into a 60-second trailer. This is gonna be so good!
Anyone else watching Beetlejuice right now, or watched it and then went directly to this trailer? They should do a double feature when this comes out in theaters!
I know everyone is excited to see Keaton reprise his role, but it is Winona i love ❤️. She really deserves a big comeback! I know Stranger Things is a hit, but she is so underused in that, Winona was kooky, the outsider, but still managed to be the IT girl back in the day.
Yes. My faves of her were Heathers, Edward Scissorhands, Mermaids, Beetlejuice, Reality Bites and The Crucible…. Just remembered Dracula, Little Women and The Age of Innocence …
I honestly was kinda disappointed when I found out this will be more centered around Beetlejuice and her daughter (jenna). Hopefully we still get lots of interactions between her and Beetlejuice in this one. I loved their chemistry in the original
Ladies and gentlemen, the movie opens in 4 months!!! Omg after 36 years we’re finally getting a sequel Glad Wynona and Keaton are back in their respective roles Really excited to see Jenna Ortega work with Burton again and in this particular project Really hoping Keaton still has that same energy
All these years later and everyone stepped back into that world effortlessly. There was so much attention to detail in the trailer alone, it really feels like that world has been perfectly recreated.

Okay, the reason I think this COULD be good is because they've actively been trying to make this film since the original came out (so it's not just some company reviving an IP out of the blue for a quick buck, it's something with actual pre-existing passion invested in it). I also think the fact Beetlejuice has so little screentime in the original, yet so much more unexplored potential as a character, is an opportunity ripe for another story featuring him. Fingers crossed Burton can break his bad streak with this one.
What if they get super clever w/the title and cut it off before you it spells it out in full? "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetleju..." lol. That would be so funny.

The fact that Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara are back is a VERY good sign. And seeing Jenna Ortega as Lydia's daughter is a nice touch. I can't wait for this.
@kittywampusdrums4963 Given the brief scene of the graveside service with O'Hara, Ryder, and Orega at the center of the attendees but not Jeffrey Jones (who played O'Hara's husband and Ryder's dad), I would infer that (1) he is the guy in the coffin, and that (2) his death is the occasion for Ryder and Ortega's return to the house. The question then is whether he makes an appearance as a ghost.
I’m so reluctant to watch this. The first movie holds a certain dark place in my heart, and I don’t want it to be tainted. It sounds stupid, but I know for a fact that the original Beetlejuice, and some of Tim Burton’s other films, have shaped the person I am today.

@@hiding_my_name It wasn't a cameo, Keaton's Batman is a supporting character throughout. And no, Burton was not involved at all. Despite The Flash being terrible, Keaton was the best part about it

It literally has the same director & same actors as the original how could it be bad literally everything is stacked for this movie to be as good if not better than the original if it does end up being bad than I don’t know how
She only had one shot in the trailer but Catherine O’Hara served. She’ll serve in spade loads in the film. Buzzed!
I love that younger audiences who may not have seen the original but know Stranger Things, Wednesday, and Schitt's Creek will come out even if they don't know the guy who played Mr. Mom (just wanted to throw in that reference)
It's a rule. You literally MUST play the famous song in a slow melodic fashion if you are going to make a sequel or reboot of an old movie
it's not even the actual song from the movie! I think it's a cheap reference. Like when they used "blue skies" with Data in ST:Picard simply because Data ONCE sang that song
@@leandrotami I clapped, I clapped when I heard it!
Technically it’s not any slower than the beginning of the original…
And it never gets into the rest of the song so… we don’t know🤷♂️
Thought the same thing.
Right before I clicked on it I said “I expect to hear some slow Harry Belafonte in the trailer.” How can every movie trailer be exactly the same?
Keaton is still iconic. Winona is just as enchanting as ever. Ortega is a perfect new addition. And they didn't need to cram the entire plot of the film into a 60-second trailer.
This is gonna be so good!
Winona at 52, she looks amazing.

I know everyone is excited to see Keaton reprise his role, but it is Winona i love ❤️. She really deserves a big comeback! I know Stranger Things is a hit, but she is so underused in that, Winona was kooky, the outsider, but still managed to be the IT girl back in the day.
So true ! Winona ROCKS !
She did find a weird niche in Hollywood, didn't she? Stranger things was a weird fit. Felt like a spiritual successor to Beetlejuice.
@SeraphsWitness yes! Couldn't agree more
Michael Keaton is one of the most underrated actors of the past 40 years, and he is highly rated. He just can’t be rated highly enough.

All these years later and everyone stepped back into that world effortlessly. There was so much attention to detail in the trailer alone, it really feels like that world has been perfectly recreated.
They literally rebuilt the house. Insane work!
Having not watched the original, id have to take your word! I love every name involved, and will def have to check out the og.
So much work went into it, if it bombs I will feel bad for everyone involved. The Flash was horrible and it bombed. I'm sure Keaton knew it would bomb, too. I really hope this is good. Big part of my childhood.
Even if this sequel bombs (younger generation), people who grew up with it back in 1988 & the 90's will thoroughly enjoy this ride!

I was horrified that they were doing a reboot until I saw Wynona Rider. Then I was happy. Then I saw Keaton and now won’t wait for it to stream. Theater time.
At this point, I think we all got PTSP from reboots, I was also scared they will ruin another great movie 😂
Burton wouldn't allow anything less.
Reflecting these previous replies, I would add, it's hard not to feel immediately galvanized by a re-ensemble cast, a phenomenon most of us have been crying out loud for now several decades past. And finally somebody said, "hey, why don't we just bring back all the same characters?"

@@davidjohnson5703 Yeah and I think it's good to theater time a movie like this. It puts in perspective what people want and we want movies we think are actually gonna be good to pay the extra money to see it like that. In a case like this, "take my money" 😊

Yea that's awesome Catherine is in it, I wonder if the guy that played her husband is also.
