What a great hunt! Isn't it an unusual, but nice, feeling when you're the only one on the beach?! Beautiful chocolate Lightning Whelk & wow! Super transformation on that big True Tulip dip!!
Oh I know! It’s a special time when alone in daylight hours on the beach-I treasure that ❤️ Thank you those were such special finds! Thx for your comment 🌊☀️
Oh my goodness I have so thought of that before and from what the Bible says there will be no more death. Soooooo I do believe there will be shells but they will all be alive and well and in pure perfection can enjoy them even more than collecting them; hard to believe but there is a verse that comes to mind that say, “But as it is written, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9) So with that I know my mind can’t even comprehend what glories await. It’ll be amazing in whatever new way enjoying His creations will be 🙏🏼 Now we enjoy the empty shells and our encounters with the live ones-then who knows all I know is that our minds right now can’t even imagine how much more it’ll be. ❤️ That to me is good news 🙌🏽🐚
I loved watching you shelling and explaining what you found. All the live creatures are also facinating. You found a beautiful array of shells. 😍They bring so much joy, and to see them cleaned and displayed at the end. I also follow Sharmon and watched the video where she moves out further from that wall jutting out after she fell. Glad you made it around safely. I would love to see your collections. Sending big virtual shelling hugs from Germany. 🤗🐚🐟🐳💖🌊
Hello in Germany! So happy you have been enjoying the channel. I've been wanting to get it off the ground for a couple of years ❤️ Yes, was very thankful for her advice b/c at the time of my crossing as you could see it was pretty high. Yes, I think after the new year I'll do a shell collection video. I have some saved up beach walks I want to get out first before sharing my collection....ahhhh shells! yes, so much joy!! Have a great week! 🐚☀️🪸🌊
Yes, you are correct that Ft. Myers Beach has more trash than Sanibel. I can usually fill a bucket each time I am there. The storm definitely brought in the shells. Summer shelling has less competition but also less shells. Few people go all the way to the Pass. The true tulip was stunning! Great finds!
Well thank goodness for people like you with helping w/the trash ❤️ Yeah summer shelling for the most part is slower 🙃🐚 it was a great walk but yeah it was a stretch (great exercise which I desperately need these days oi!) SO happy the sand is so compact and easy to walk on 🙌🏽 I had such a great time out there. Thx for your comment 👍🏼👍🏼
Loved this video. You found some gorgeous shells. You have much better control than I do. I would have filled a 5 gal bucket. I cannot turn down an alphabet no matter the shape its in!! Loved the pink rose petal tellins! One of my favorites. And you had the beach to yourself. So theraputic!! Thanks for taking us along! Can't wait to get down to Ft Myers first of the year.
Oh my goodness that’s great! I hope you have a fantastic time! Winter shelling is great!! So happy you enjoyed this walk-I’m excited to be sharing it! I can understand about the cones-I was able to shell in a few dredge piles and do have quite a collection of alphabet cones so I got a little “spoiled” to start turning them down 🙃 Ohh gezz lol, anyways, thx for your comment and have a lovely trip there and I hope you get to fill a 5gal bucket 🐚
LOVE LOVE your beach walks. Your information about the Tube worm was fascinating. I noticed you passed up the Augers. Not your favorite? I collect them for Art projects. I make sure Christmas ornament snowflakes out of them.I love how slow you go so that we can see all of the shells. Not as good as in person but it’s a close second. Thank you for taking your time and showing us all the amazing shells. See you on the next. God Bless❣️
Oh, I’m sure those are really beautiful ornaments! I do pick them up. I guess I wasn’t focused on them this particular trip. There was one at timestamp 8:12 I was like “oh that’s a nice one” in watching these clips back 🙃 There was so much to look at my brain glossed over them lol. Glad you have been enjoying the videos ❤️🙌🏽 Take care and have a blessed week!
You found many beautiful shells on your beach walk. I wish you could park somewhere in the south end far enough down that you did not need to go around that condo. My balance isn’t the best so I am afraid to try that. Oh well. I enjoy watching both you and Sharmon find beautiful shells there.
Thank you ❤️🐚 Yes it’s unfortunate about that condo. In looking from Google maps at how odd it’s angled compared to all the others I can’t believe that passed city code to even go up even w/no beach erosion when building 🤔 This is my 2 cents worth but if you have to build a wall to protect yourself from erosion and that blocks public access then you need to build a walkway for the public or work something out with the city where you provide at least 3 public parking spaces at the side of your building and have a public access path point. In Melbourne beach by me there is a condo that has done that. There are 3 parking spots next to their building with a path down to the beach and a little dinky sign that says public access that no one sees hidden behind a pole 🤣 and I’m sure that condo has some kinda tax benefit for doing that. Anyways, I’m happy to share. I’d like to come back at some point. I’m on the east coast so this beach is 3 1/2hrs for me to get to. Take care ❤️
Hi Roxann! Wow, the shells were really coming thick and fast in this one; there was so much to find here! I wonder if this beach has a lot of shells all the time, and not just after a storm? It might not hurt to check it every now and then :D I think I was most impressed with the hinged bivalves this time; a few of them I'd never seen hinged before! I liked that comparison of the West Indian Fighting Conch; it was probably my favourite find today because they don't seem that usual? Thank you for the beautiful big beach walk~ PS I was hoping to see the Auger at 8:14 to the left of the screen - they're cute little shells!!
Hey Maddie! Oh I definitely will be back to check it out. Based on another channel’s videos there (SWF Beach Life) it seems to be a nice spot to shell on a regular basis but I think the storm did push way more in that pass area than usual??? Still don’t really know. The islands just south of there I’ve found lots of shells in the pass over there before (not after a storm). This is a 3 1/2hr drive for me across the state so it’ll be on my list when I get the chance to pop over to the west coast again. The augers I guess were not on the brain 🙃 when there is so much to look at my eyes just dart the bigger stuff I guess 🤣 Oh me oh my! Thx for watching-this was a fun one ❤️🐚
@@FloridaBeachWalks That’s a big day trip away from the family 😮 and it’s a long way to go if there isn’t an absolute guarantee of shells being there. Definitely worth keeping an eye on the place… the storm must have pushed a lot towards that part of the coast: maybe keep checking the weather apps for wind/current directions for that area, and go when they are similar to this storm? You will hopefully have good results!
