What do you think? Have you ever memorized an outline of a portion of the Bible? If you want to give it a try, follow along with me as I show you how to memorize the outline of the gospel of John: ua-cam.com/video/d0OJa1v_b6Y/v-deo.html
I can recite probably 75% of the most popular Pauline books and I'm happy with that. Focusing on the precise tense or style is less important than simply being able to reference and understanding the context. Getting absorbed in the technical minutia betrays the function, I feel.
I had no idea you made a course! I tried years ago to do this on my own but gave up after a while. At the time I wished someone else had thought of it. Excited to see what you have!
Are you able to share the link to your work? What allot of work involved in doing that. I've been thinking of just memorising one verse from each book that best summarises the theme of the Bible as already memorising a book. But this sounds interesting.
This really gave me some new ideas. I studied the bible in women's bible studies for over 10 years straight, and one reason I stopped was that I found I could not remember hardly anything, for all that effort.
I've been thinking about trying to memorize the headers in each chapter lately, just for a start on memorizing where things are, and then this video pops up. Thank you for the motivation!
This was inspiring to watch. My husband and I run a free Bible Club (BMW - Bible, Manners & Worship Children's Club) online and one major feature is the kids memorising some Bible verses every month. In 2024, we started from Proverbs 1 and the kids have been memorising between 7 and 10verses from each chapter. This video has inspired me further: to bring in the picture representing the semantic summary of each chapter and then for the kids to get a simple outline of the chapter, perhaps in one sentence. I'm so thrilled. I'll be waiting on God for clarity in the new week so that my heart can grasp it better for further action. Many thanks to you and everyone involved in making this video available. Thank you immensely!
Excellent! I think you might enjoy even the recent live interview I did walking through John - the pictures might be helpful! ua-cam.com/video/Za0oGVxScFE/v-deo.html
See Walk Thru The Bible ministries too Very helpful, tremendous methodology My kids loved it, not just the adults there. The whole families there enjoyed the workshop We did OT & NT both Pics, succinct words, themes My girls did AWANA too. Badges or pins to go on an AWANA shirt were great motivators n collecting points to spend in a little store once a quarter, mostly junk but the kids loved getting the junk lol Bless ur ministry! So needed in these End Times!
I'm doing this too! I'm over half way there. I'm currently to Ezekiel and it has been so very rewarding! I love it when I'm listening to a sermon or Sunday School lesson and they say the scripture for the day and I already know the topic. I thought I was setting out to just remember the main thing in each chapter, but I have learned so very much more and it continues to pay off and gives me more insight into the Bible than I ever thought. I highly recommend doing this! I'd love to get Larry's titles if he is willing to share.
I've done this to Ezekiel as well, especially after discovering some "misteries" in this book.. Chapter 20 and 36 for example, it's not talking about the church, there are some key phrases is this entire book that changes our understanding
@@br.m Basically, there are promises in the Old Testament both for an Israel that will not have a glorified body and for the church (which is also called Israel). In the kingdom of Christ there will not only be Christ and the church, as some pastors want us to believe. In chapters 40 to 48 we see an "inferior" priesthood, not according to the order of Melchizedek (church), but according to Zadok. The key word in the entire book is "shame." The shame here is not for the church, but for a people that Jesus will not kill, but also will not glorify when he returns.
@@br.m Here are some key phrases for meditation, I put some words in caps lock to give a better understanding: Ezekiel 16:60-63 Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant. Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and BE ASHAMED, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, BUT NOT BY THY COVENANT. And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: that thou mayest remember, and BE CONFOUNDED, and NEVER OPEN THY MOUTH ANY MORE because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 20:33-36,40,43-44 As I live, saith the Lord GOD , surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and WITH FURY POURED OUT, WILL I RULE OVER YOU: and I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD. For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things. And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and YE SHALL LOTHE YOURSELVES IN YOU OWN SIGHT for all your evils that ye have committed. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have wrought with you for MY NAME'S SAKE, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 36:21-26,30-32,37 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do NOT this FOR YOUR SAKES, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went. And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will multiply THE FRUIT OF THE TREE, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach OF FAMINE among the heathen. Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall LOTHE YOURSELVES in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. NOT FOR YOUR SAKES DO I THIS, saith the Lord GOD, BE IT KNOWN UNTO YOU: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel. Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. Ezekiel 43:10-12 Thou son of man, SHEW THE HOUSE to the house of Israel, that they may BE ASHAMED of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern. And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them. This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house. Ezekiel 44:10-11 And the LEVITES that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even BEAR THEIR INIQUITY. Yet they shall BE MINISTERS in my sanctuary, having charge at the GATES OF THE HOUSE, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them. Ezekiel 44:15,18,20,22,25,27 But the priests the Levites, THE SONS OF ZADOK, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD: They shall have LINEN BONNETS upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth SWEAT. Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads. Neither shall they take for their WIVES a widow, nor her that is put away: but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that had a priest before. And they shall come at no dead person TO DEFILE THEMSELVES: but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may defile themselves. And in the day that he goeth into the sanctuary, unto the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his SIN OFFERING, saith the Lord GOD.
This is a must I believe. Some day we may find ourselves in prison for our faith without a Bible. Just think there isolated in a cell, you have HIS WORD hidden not only in your heart but in your mind amazing. I too will start this journey
I realized some time ago I had done this more or less unintentionally with the Gospel of John from having read it so many times, and there are other sections I’ve been more intentional about the gist especially since the material about that kind of memorization verses verbatim. Still my hope was towards memorizing larger sections. But this is really amazing. I find this accomplishment not just deeply satisfying, but the familiarity with all of Scripture being so valuable. Wow!
I tried to do this years ago with the Twitter posts. Dr. Dinkins is so inspiring to me. I'm glad to now know the path forward to accomplishing this idea and knowing someone has done this.
Josh, Thx introducing Ron White and Dr. Larry and their method of capturing and reviewing 1189 chapters of the complete Bible. Thx Lord pointing me to your channel. In the last 5 years, I have been committed to memorise 20% of the Bible, i.e. around 240 chapter ideas and idea pictures. Moving really slow, till recently, I start allocating one memory location to each chapter. And generate the memory location from meaningful checkpoint in Hong Kong hiking trails. May your channel be a benefit to all you can reached. 😊
Years ago I met a young teenager who had memorized the Bible. You could give him the book, chapter and vs and he would quote you the verse. His recall was amazing. He won countless contests with peers, virtually undefeated. Course his IQ was in the 200 range with total recall. He now is a highly successful attorney, working in DC.

@@homenj3897 I don't mean to disparage anyone, but as soon as I read your original post, I thought to myself, there is no good in memorising the Bible if one doesn't understand or accept it. And then I saw your subsequent message a out about the man's homosexuality, and felt a deep sense of sadness at being proven right.
@@alisterrebelo9013 He was very effeminate in early childhood. Long before his early teens. When he was competing nationally in these Bible memory competitions. I have no strong opinion on the matter, but this young man and many of his peers show these effeminate signs and have always wondered was it choice? I know a young lady showed the same signs as early as 5 YO. Initially, everyone thought she was just a huge tomboy, but over the years, she was bullied and rejected by peers for her behavior long before puberty. One could present, with many facts, they were born with these traits. I’ll let you judge them.
This sounds like a great idea. At least if I can't remember much Scripture I can try and remember a chapter summary. I'm going to try this with John's Gospel.
Amazing teaching! Its imperative to hide the Word in our heart! There may come a day soon when we wont have physical Bibles! Thank you for this motivation!
I know A LOT of verses, but i dont know how many. I know a lot about the stories, the parables, miracles. But the main thing is the link among all the verses as it applies practically to each of us. I can also say all the books of the Bible in order in less than 25 seconds. I can turn to any verse in 10 seconds or less. I have a general idea where a book is when I look at the closed page edges.
Is there a way to get in contact with Dr. Larry? I am 6 books in and would love to brainstorm memory palaces that are not homes because it is starting to overlap a lot with closets, beds, nightstands and Refridgerators. I heard him say he does things differently and since I am using this technique to also do chapters overviews, I would love to pick his brain.
I had learned what's in each chapter of Acts years before I heard a preacher give his simple mnemonic for it. For example: Acts 1 - Jesus' work on earth is done Acts 2 - Peter preaches to a crew Acts 5 - Annanias and Sapphira are no longer alive Acts 6 - The widow's needs are fixed Acts 7 - Stephen goes to heaven Etc. I never knew his whole system, but it looks easy to learn.
I've noticed I've used associations throughout my life to help me remember various things more easily or much more quickly. I think it could help me remember overviews of chapters if I tried, but I suspect that the "association" that is best for us to use would differ for each person. Considering that different things sticks to our minds to different degrees. One association reference that may be pretty easy for one person to use may not be easy at all for me to use, and vice versa. So if you go a more personalized route with what you choose to use as association references, you're probably going to have more homework for yourself. I'm not even sure if what I'm saying would make sense to any who read it. 15:50 - Which I guess is basically what he's saying here. But I wrote this right before getting to that part. I should've waited.
Proverbs is very much topical I once went to a family Bible camp for a week that the topic was the book of proverbs and every camp meeting. There was a teaching on it. He sort of went through each section and types of chapters and spoke on them. I bought the tape set. They had recorded each teaching. Invaluable!
@@YeshuaKingMessiah Thank You! I never even thought of it as such, it is very Topical! No such chance that the tape is still around? Or something similar. Never the less God Bless for the wisdom
I kind of lately get a feel for the chapter and verse by looking at the verse by a year format .For an example I know Leviticus 19:31 Or Deuteronomy 18:10 is about not turning to witchcraft . But I also Believe in the power of the Holy Spirit combined Word of God together when you are studying certain story, verses and passages of scriptures . I can like memorize a few things more so in summery of a passage out of the Gospel of Luke just by studying . And recently have becoming much easier to obtain the examples in Luke for me is Luke 9:16 , feeding the five thousand , Luke 15:4-7, The Lost Sheep, and the most recent Luke 13:11 The Woman with the spirit of infirmity of 18 years . I think Head knowledge can be very dangerous . I try to put myself to trust in God to lead me to particular passage of scriptures by the spirit of a story, passage or scripture . Also faith comes by hearing the word of God. Roman’s 10:17. For an example I had a dream of a particular scripture recently, when I got stuck with a difficult passage to understand it, I decided to listened to it in a different translation of the passage in audio several times . Then went back a reread it over and even compared many translations because of one particular passage that was taken out , left in , changed etc.. That passage of scripture is 1 Kings 22, particular verse 38

I know it would vary among people who attempt it, and you probably have to keep working to maintain it, but I wonder how long the process took for him.
David Koresh memorized the whole Bible as well. Didn’t work out for him and his followers in Waco very well. However, memorizing any part of scripture is useful when you worship Jesus.
Do you know what he uses for this? One giant memory palace? A palace for each book? How does he keep everything organized? I’m guessing the major system for chapters and verses?
It’s a Sunday School drill where someone says a Bible reference and you see who can find it in their physical Bible and explain what’s happening first.
If you have children this is really good for just remembering chapters and such. But as you get deeper this is is not how tour going to always use the scripture. The biblical authors made sure that underatanding the symbolic content and then learning how that is used in greater context is more important, seeing in their time they didnt use chapter's and verse numbers. Its more about understanding. Remembering Numbers are not as important as understanding a book that was seal and only understood by the LORDs true learned ones. Isaiah 28:10-11 KJV - For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. John 8:43 KJV - Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Isaiah 6:9 KJV - And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Matthew 13:34-35 KJV - All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. Isaiah 8:16 KJV - Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. Matthew 13:10-11 KJV - And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. Mark 4:34 KJV - But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples. 1 Corinthians 14:18-19 KJV - I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. 1 Corinthians 14:21-22 KJV - In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. Here a little there a little.

This is great. This is basically what I'm doing except I am memorizing a verse in each of the 1189 chapters. This double functions as a topical description. The goal is the same...to be able to think through books. This would be easier for sure! ua-cam.com/video/ab6rIHjE6Js/v-deo.htmlsi=y0Ptglp97O6S-aD6
I've been in bible since 2008, I've memorised hundreds of verses. Book of revelation is the easiest. 1st YESHUA 2,3, 7churches, 4 heaven, so easy 7 144000, 12 two witnesses, 13 antichrist. 14, 144000. 19 LORDS return. I pretty much outline that way. Like galatians grace and faith of CHRIST, grace alone. Started in SPIRIT, perfecting through flesh. Etc I outline and memorise key verses.
That's crazy.. I know people who memorize word for word, books of the Bible. Once time, I thought about memorizing the entire Bible. I thought about it for about 2 seconds. Then came to my senses. The scriptures were written for a reason. It could have been passed along orally but God chose to give us writing. So it is beneficial to have an idea of how events occur. It's good to be familiar with the books of the Bible.. To aid with looking things up.. If you know roughly where to dig to find Numbers, or Galatians or whatever. I would advise spending more time meditating on the word, and making sure one rightly understands the word. If you memorize the Bible, or outline of it, but you can't rightly handle scripture, then its no use. If you can't memorize any of it but know how to rightly handle it, then that is useful
@@BibleMemoryGoal ok knock yourself out.. My comment was valid and sensible though. Good work memorizing the Bible I am sure your hard work will pay off. I meant no offense or disrespect but I feel a little insulted. Thanks for sharing your opinion. By the way Jesus also walked on water so you got your work cut out for you!
@@BibleMemoryGoal By the way sir.. While it is true that memorization of scripture was done by people in scripture. And there is no harm in memorizing. People did not have access to scripture so easily. Scrolls were kept in the synagogues, and any synagogue might not have had all the scrolls. More often, they would put it to song, as song is easier to remember. While that is somewhat irrelevant to me, for this point I would like to make.. that is that many people will not be able to memorize scripture. So your attitude seems a little boastful and condescending. What about my friends who struggle with learning and reading and do not have the highest intelligence? God loves them too, and they can believe in the Lord. It could even be that your attitude could offend, insult and derail such a person. Even causing them to stumble and fall away. Jesus memorized scripture and you need to be like Jesus! It is not unlike those charismatic false preachers, who blame people's lack of faith when their miracle healings do not work out... It can crush believers and make them fall away
Thanks for sharing your point. It still baffles me that any Bible-believing Christian would say “be careful about memorizing the Bible”. How can you apply what you don’t know? And what better way to know and meditate than to hide the Word in your heart? I honestly don’t know how to respond to such comments, which is why I shared a brief but true statement: my aim is to be like Christ. I’ve never told people they have to memorize, I simply encourage it. Finally, I believe that ANYBODY can memorize Scripture. No one is too old or mentally incapable.
My auditory processing disorder child can memorize the Word, KJV She stores large amount of verses n passages The Word is unlike other bodies of info. It’s ALIVE. Once you’ve been looking at it for decades, you will understand this. It’s sharper than a 2-edged sword and cuts thru whatever stands in the way of getting IT in YOU.
@@BibleMemoryGoalprobably because when you hear someone memorized the Bible, you’d think they could recall it. This is memorizing a summary of chapters.. about 1000x easier than actually memorizing the Bible. That said, it’s probably one of the most practical uses of memory that will have great usefulness in one’s lifetime. But it’s not memorizing the Bible.
@@timm439it contributes to memorizing the Word N very much understanding the Word But u can just memorize the Word instead, sure U will still need to understand it ALSO And THEN apply it Knowledge Understanding Wisdom Now The whole “changes to the Bible” (11:6 being the worst imo) is a totally diff topic
Good job! But, theoretically, this is what every Christian should know. because, this is very simple. There are bible scholars in Ethiopia who can say the WHOLE bible, word by word with its commentary. and they also know other bible related.
That's awesome. I would love to meet these people. Please have them contact me. For the record, I disagree that every Christian needs to know the topic of every chapter of the Bible. There is value in doing so, to be sure, but it's just as good to understand the general theme of each book.
I love to hide the Word of God in my heart from the pure king Jesus Bible. We need to get back to the high love standard people used to have. Horrible things have happened to many people in the past. Forgive and act like it never happened. If we cannot forgive our enemies, Satan will have a legal hold to attack us. Thieves should be given jobs. If they keeps stealing, then something is wrong spiritually. Peace unto you all. I hope you and your family are doing well. I am giving this in honour of Judge Jesus, the Judge of all the earth. Do you believe on the Lord Jesus? Eternity is in the new earth, not heaven. In the new earth, we worship God in his new moons and sabbaths. Venerating Mary is idolatry that will send people to the lake of fire. God bless you all.
@@BibleMemoryGoal that’s partly true. Western education systems have become ubiquitous, but the Madrassah system is still operational. This adoption is largely due to an epistemicide which is increasingly being theorised about and critiqued, especially since the modern alternative is producing people without morals. Anxiety about modernity is now sending people back to it. I really appreciated CS Lewis’ book, The Abolition of Man, which speaks to this. I think religious seminaries, especially from the Abrahamic faiths, have a lot yet to offer the world; a world which has lost sight of what a human is. Our revelation-centred education systems are truly a guiding light on how human development should take place, and to what end. God bless.
Morals is not the problem tho Very moralistic ppl are writhing in agony in hell, right now. Forever. Repentance unto salvation is the issue. Even memorizing the whole Bible does not negate this. Without Yeshua Messiah, you do not have the Way, the Truth and the LIFE! Forever! *HE is the Logos*
@@YeshuaKingMessiah I will leave the polemic aside, but as a Muslim it’s necessary for me to believe in Jesus as the Messiah, peace be upon him, and to repent unto God, and to follow the revelation which guides man through this life to the everlasting life hereafter. I agree that these important things must all be upheld and adhered to. Peace and God Bless ❤️
Rote learning is relatively easy for some people to do. It usually doesn't involve any independent thought. And certainly never any abstract thinking. For instance, if I were to ask a question, I'm guessing this person has no answer. ------- Do you have any provable, fact-based evidence of anything spiritual in the bible? And by "evidence" I mean, NOT any hearsay, feelings, faith, beliefs, hopes, coincidences or bible stories written by man.
Based on the way you're stating the question, it's pretty clear you're not actually looking for an answer, nor would you entertain any evidence if it were given you. It's interesting how Christians often get labeled as "close-minded," yet this is what we have to deal with.
@@BibleMemoryGoal The way you are interpreting my question it's obvious that you cannot answer. My question is VERY straightforward -- "Do you have any provable, fact-based evidence of anything spiritual in the bible? " So you have done a classic deflection, one that I run into many many times. And I do realize you take issue with my conditions. I put those in because most people use them to non-answer the question. They frequently depend on rote bible quotes -- I can't use those because the bible has many problems that people ignore. The other standard response is that I don't "feel" or have "faith". However, they never explain how those can be evidence when they can't be measured or tested. Bottom line -- my conditions have not been met and your response is typical of how you justify your position.
You specifically came to a Bible channel to pick a fight and I'm sorry I'm not giving you what you want. You're doing the classic "See, you're not willing to fight, therefore you must not know what you believe and I GOTCHA!" If that makes you feel better, have at it.
@@BibleMemoryGoal "You specifically came to a Bible channel to pick a fight" First, you have violated the bible command to "Judge not lest ye be judged." Second, I asked a simple question (with some reasonable conditions) - and you again made an incorrect judgment. Again, I view your response as a classic way to deflect my request - that is, you attack on the offensive. But I actually figured that - since you are promoting a bible-based product - you might have knowledge. So since I misjudged I apologize.
All are well aware of that.. he has a method here that is very useful to remembering what each chapter contains by keying in on certain verses and characters in each chapter of the Bible. Very clever!

Aldsheimers can wipe all that out in a year. He has done a remarkable thing considering his age and the subject matter that is well no one has a clue what most of it means. Think I am too harsh. So how me one work, even a collection of books that claims to explain what is meant. It does not exist. It is like the definitive meaning of astrology, the Koran, the I Ching, etc. in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. So what beginning are we talking about certainly not the the beginning because there is no such thing. Beginning of the universe? Well Genesis is not clear about a word. What word is the word. Is God just a thought, a symbol or perhaps an idea. You see all the directions we can go here and who is to be the judge. Just a few of my thoughts.
In Revelation 19:13, Jesus is the Word of God. In the beginning is of man's history. God the creator wants relationship with man again. We keep breaking God's commandments. There's no statute of limitations. In God's courtroom, there's a penalty to be paid. The sacrifice of Jesus will pay the fine. Trust in Jesus like trusting a pilot. Have faith in Jesus to be released from penalty.
Jesus is the Alpha & the Omega The Beginning & the End So what indeed is the Beginning? Jesus is the Logos (the Word, here in John) and He *was* in the beginning, already existing, always existing, always will be existing; existing out of Time. He is the End while being the Beginning. He made all things, and without Him nothing was made that was made. And He is coming again to judge the quick and the dead.

What do you think? Have you ever memorized an outline of a portion of the Bible? If you want to give it a try, follow along with me as I show you how to memorize the outline of the gospel of John: ua-cam.com/video/d0OJa1v_b6Y/v-deo.html
For me this was just an idea. It’s so fulfilling for me to have an idea and see someone do it ❤
The KJV Bible is mathematically encoded. I'd like to contact you
I can recite probably 75% of the most popular Pauline books and I'm happy with that. Focusing on the precise tense or style is less important than simply being able to reference and understanding the context. Getting absorbed in the technical minutia betrays the function, I feel.
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾

i have 2 timothy and Philippians memorized!❤
I’m Ron the guy who created this 1,189 Bible memory course. I’m so amazed and impressed by this. This made my Day Larry did this
I had no idea you made a course!
Thanks for stopping in, Ron!
I want to do this course
Me too
This really gave me some new ideas. I studied the bible in women's bible studies for over 10 years straight, and one reason I stopped was that I found I could not remember hardly anything, for all that effort.
Yea, we’ve all been there.
I've been thinking about trying to memorize the headers in each chapter lately, just for a start on memorizing where things are, and then this video pops up. Thank you for the motivation!
Glad to hear it! I hope you're able to do it :)
See Walk Thru The Bible ministries too
Very helpful, tremendous methodology
My kids loved it, not just the adults there. The whole families there enjoyed the workshop
We did OT & NT both
Pics, succinct words, themes
My girls did AWANA too. Badges or pins to go on an AWANA shirt were great motivators n collecting points to spend in a little store once a quarter, mostly junk but the kids loved getting the junk lol
Bless ur ministry! So needed in these End Times!
@@YeshuaKingMessiah Thanks a million!
@@BibleMemoryGoal I have watched the recommended video and got the document with the pictures. Thank you again.
That's so cool, Mary! Keep at it and finish strong :)
I've done this to Ezekiel as well, especially after discovering some "misteries" in this book.. Chapter 20 and 36 for example, it's not talking about the church, there are some key phrases is this entire book that changes our understanding
@@lucasalexandre7231 Can you elaborate? What have you discovered in Ezekiel chapter 20? Thanks
@@br.m Here are some key phrases for meditation, I put some words in caps lock to give a better understanding:
Ezekiel 16:60-63
Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.
Ezekiel 20:33-36,40,43-44
As I live, saith the Lord GOD , surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and WITH FURY POURED OUT, WILL I RULE OVER YOU: and I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.
Ezekiel 36:21-26,30-32,37
Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do NOT this FOR YOUR SAKES, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
Ezekiel 43:10-12
Thou son of man, SHEW THE HOUSE to the house of Israel, that they may BE ASHAMED of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.
Ezekiel 44:10-11
And the LEVITES that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even BEAR THEIR INIQUITY. Yet they shall BE MINISTERS in my sanctuary, having charge at the GATES OF THE HOUSE, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.
Ezekiel 44:15,18,20,22,25,27
But the priests the Levites, THE SONS OF ZADOK, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD: They shall have LINEN BONNETS upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth SWEAT.

I beg to differ.
You may have "your and someone else's interpretation". in you had
Wow!
That so cool. Intentional or not, I think this kind of memorization can be so beneficial.
Its amazing to find this channel. "Memorizing the bible"--just speaking that line brings me light. So excited to explore this channel. Praise God❤❤

He has a website called Chiang Mai Orality.
We have 2 young brand new Bible quizzers this year that already mastered 180 scriptures from Acts.
They can qoute them at "lighting" speed.
Awesome! 👏
@@BibleMemoryGoal I really like your idea of organization looking forward to implementing these ideas techniques and more.. God bless you
I had learned what's in each chapter of Acts years before I heard a preacher give his simple mnemonic for it. For example:
Acts 1 - Jesus' work on earth is done
Acts 2 - Peter preaches to a crew
Acts 5 - Annanias and Sapphira are no longer alive
Acts 6 - The widow's needs are fixed
Acts 7 - Stephen goes to heaven
Etc.
I never knew his whole system, but it looks easy to learn.
I love the use of short phrases that rhyme as a mnemonic for this!
Keep going! I'd love to know the rest! Please give us the rest of your titles for Acts.
Ha! Don’t worry - it makes sense.

I kind of lately get a feel for the chapter and verse by looking at the verse by a year format .For an example I know Leviticus 19:31 Or Deuteronomy 18:10
is about not turning to witchcraft .
Why not let people hear by sharing what you’ve memorized?

Ok...I'm not sure what you're trying to imply here with Dr. Dinkins.
Do you know what he uses for this? One giant memory palace? A palace for each book? How does he keep everything organized? I’m guessing the major system for chapters and verses?
Hey Dave, based on what he said during the interview, he has a different system for each book - usually associated with the alphabet in some way.

What is the sword drill?

Very cool! Thanks for sharing, Paul.
Memorising is imagination only . All the experts are doing the same the same thing
How so?
I've been in bible since 2008, I've memorised hundreds of verses. Book of revelation is the easiest. 1st YESHUA 2,3, 7churches, 4 heaven, so easy 7 144000, 12 two witnesses, 13 antichrist. 14, 144000. 19 LORDS return. I pretty much outline that way. Like galatians grace and faith of CHRIST, grace alone. Started in SPIRIT, perfecting through flesh. Etc I outline and memorise key verses.
Very cool!
Jesus memorized Scripture, as did many other characters in the Bible. Thanks for your advice, but I think I’m going to follow their lead.

My auditory processing disorder child can memorize the Word, KJV
She stores large amount of verses n passages

what is the tree of life?
Are you referring to something said in the interview?
@@BibleMemoryGoal no
Sounds like memory castle technique
It is a bit like that, you’re right!
"Mind Palace" sounds a lot like Kevin Trudeau's "Mega Memory" course on "pegging" memory images to your own home.
Yea, except that the mind palace predates Trudeau by quite a few centuries 😂
Ask him what Isaiah 11:6 says.
Why?
@@BibleMemoryGoalprobably because when you hear someone memorized the Bible, you’d think they could recall it. This is memorizing a summary of chapters.. about 1000x easier than actually memorizing the Bible. That said, it’s probably one of the most practical uses of memory that will have great usefulness in one’s lifetime. But it’s not memorizing the Bible.

The whole “changes to the Bible” (11:6 being the worst imo) is a totally diff topic
Can you interview the person who is memorising 200 words in a minute ?
You’re welcome to share who it is, if you think it’s not fake.
Thanks for the comment.
Memorisation of the revelation from God, cover to cover, is standard practise in the Islamic tradition.
Yes, it is, although it's becoming less and less standard in a post-literate world.
God bless.
Morals is not the problem tho
Very moralistic ppl are writhing in agony in hell, right now.
Do you have any provable, fact-based evidence of anything spiritual in the bible?
@@BibleMemoryGoal "You specifically came to a Bible channel to pick a fight"
First, you have violated the bible command to "Judge not lest ye be judged."
Second, I asked a simple question (with some reasonable conditions) - and you again made an incorrect judgment. Again, I view your response as a classic way to deflect my request - that is, you attack on the offensive. But I actually figured that - since you are promoting a bible-based product - you might have knowledge. So since I misjudged I apologize.
All the Bible predictions have 100% come true.
Hmmmm. Matthew 16 has ever so much more than just Peter declaring that Jesus is the Christ.
Of course it does. But this is the story that Larry decided to set for the chapter.

This is not memorization at all. It's just familiarization of the content. No one can really memorize the bible with countless translations.
The number of translations has no correlation to whether or not content can be memorized.

Thanks for taking the time to share the thoughts.

Jesus is the Alpha & the Omega
The Beginning & the End
So what indeed is the Beginning? Jesus is the Logos (the Word, here in John) and He *was* in the beginning, already existing, always existing, always will be existing; existing out of Time. He is the End while being the Beginning.
He made all things, and without Him nothing was made that was made. And He is coming again to judge the quick and the dead.
may God the Spirit be with-in you, so you will not attempt your own works and holiness in flesh. thats not nice in front of God.
So would you advise people not to memorize or study the Bible?
