that inline box switch is simply a solenoid relay , relays are simple switches that are either open or closed allowing the flow of current , the 2 loose white wires which are ground wires were not crimped tight enough at the factory overseas thus the problem right from the start.
This is the same cub cadet I have but I have different problems: Mine dies after 10 mins of cutting and run ruff. I am able to start it and get it up to the house but slow. I have empted the gas, changed the oil and filter, changed the gas line filter, added engine cleaner as Home depot told me to try, got new gas and added gas added to it, I blew out the engine from dust and added a filer..oh and I bought a new battery. It still is doing the same thing. Could it be the carburetor and where its it. Repair people is out 7 to 8 weeks before they can look at it. My grass will be 5' tall by then...Please can someong help me?
Sounds like your ignition coil (the thingy that plugs into your spark plug) is bad/getting hot and killing your engine. You might want to replace that and see if it fixes your problem.

@@LarryMlekoI brought it to a lawn tractor servicer and they claim my problem was gunk/bugs in my fuel tank. They drained it and cleaned it out, replaced the fuel hose and filter and it seems to be working well. I’ll update if my problem persists
I have this mower. I ran out of gas today filled up now it won't start , has power but when I turn the key nothing. No clicking nothing at all. The power is on the hour meter so I know I've got power . Any ideas ?
These powermore engines are not a good platform. I am a mower mechanic and they have many issues with low hrs mainly from the ecu. I tell ppl to fix and sell. Get one with a tried and true Kohler.

check all ground wires , possible bad solenoid

Did you disengage the blades after it ran out of gas? There is a safety switch that prevents starting with blades engaged. I've seen it happen a lot.

the seat switch detects the engage switch, need to clean the seat switch under the seat.
That new style of engine speed control is going to be a pain in the back side oh by the way the model number of my poulan xt mower is pxt195 g 42
