One other thing, for those who may not be in the NCR- when using Amazon or anything else, you can ship to your nearest LBC office & pick up your stuff there. Been doing that for a while now, since I have kind of a weird address

@@JasperinthePhilippines Jasper, I’m going to Thailand for the third time this September in a row on a yearly basis. I’m from the UK and I’m my mid thirties. I’m just so used to how smooth things operate in Thailand that I might find it difficult to adjust and acclimatise to the Philippines. I’ve heard that the service industry is slow and not that organised and many other negative points that wouldn’t really happen in Thailand. A part of me want to check out the PH and go Manila, Cebu and a few islands and come for a 1-2 month trip first. But is it really worth it - I’m asking myself should stick to Thailand or go check out Malaysia and other south East Asian countries?! I’m somewhat unsure the flights to Thailand are worth it too etc.
Thailand is basically pay for play. Philippines is way better if you have the money to go to places like Boracay and Paolo and keep a residence in a Bgc Makati manila.
@@JasperinthePhilippinesSo what would be a decent budget for a 30 day holiday - Airbnb/hotel, food, transport and more - excluding the flight cost. I would spend around £600 for Airbnb and spending money of £2K for a month in Thailand.
Good advice on the apps! I wonder if Bolt will ever make it to Phils, they are a slightly cheaper version of Grab. Also another video mentioned a motorbike taxi app for Phils, forget the name now. Do you know it?

@@JasperinthePhilippines Just FYI I found the vid, the motorcycle taxi app they mention is called Angkas. I installed it and quickly realized I cannot use it as it requires a phone # with Phils +63 country code. Oops that is a downside for using GoogleFi international service with my +1 USA phone #
