Friends, I’m happy to share my homemade Samosa sheets or wrappers today and I encourage you to watch the entire video and write notes. Please, as always feel free to ask questions and I’ll be happy to provide answers to the best of my abilities.
The great thing about homemade samosa wrappers is that they can also be used as spring or egg roll wrappers and because they’re homemade, you’re able to control and carefully select the best quality of ingredients that go into the preparation.
I hope you find this tutorial practical and helpful. My goal is for you to hopefully, prepare your own samosa/ spring or egg roll wrappers in preparation for the next tutorial video coming up in a couple of days in which I’ll show you how to fold your samosas into those classic beautiful triangular shape in 3 methods!!!! I’m excited and cannot wait, so plan to watch the next video in a couple of days friends! Thank you, make it a great day and have fun especially, in that kitchen 😍🙏🏾
INGREDIENTS:

Tried it. Loved it. Came out great!
By shrinking, I mean it keeps bouncing back
Do you sell samosa sheet??
Pls what if my oven is Celsius and not Fahrenheit
oyindamola precious you do the conversation.
Thank you so very much, my friend! Last night's samosas, which unfortunately did not use your recipe for wrappers, ended up way too thick, hard, and substantial with respect to the filling. I will make your recipe and use your technique next time (tomorrow). People like you who take the time and make the effort to improve the quality of life for families around the world by helping them make better quality food are truly admirable. Just think: someday, decades from now, some older person is going to smile and tell an acquaintance, "Oh, man, my mother made the BEST samosas! We always told her to make double the amount, but she said if she did that would be all we ate and we'd fill up before dinner." And that mother will have made those samosas using YOUR recipe and technique, and it will have made the difference, and it will have given her children fond memories for life. I know because this has happened to me before, and it happens to my own children these days. Keep up the great work!
I love how you made us know you tried multiple times to perfect it. To me, that is always essential in encouraging our viewers💪🏾😍. But rectangular shape no ho geometry no de3 I have a phobia for math so I will do the other shapes wai🙈🙈. You're amazing. Love love the video. I just called Julliet and told her she better make it and sharp. She's dancing💃💃💃😂😂😂. I love this Samosa just like you do the carrot cake😘😘😘
I love the quartered circle shape paa! I find it to be the easiest in my opinion, you’ll see and possibly agree too🙈 Tell Juliet I need to borrow that aponkye nkaakra recipe wai 👌🏾😋 thanks onuawaa! 😘😘😘
I agree onuawaa! It’s important to outdoor the imperfections and flaws we all have to encourage each other! That is ok to start over if it doesn’t work out the first few times! You only fail you you give up. Thanks for acknowledging that sis! I appreciate you paaaa wai! Like that corrot cake 😝😘😘😘
@@NanaabasKitchen really can't wait to try! Yes the quartered circle appears to be the easiest. That will probably be ekura last stop for me😂😂😂😂

Agnes, sound great! You’ll love the next tutorial and hopefully you can post your results on chop time😉 no pressure sis! Love ya 😘
Thank you soo much and I'm definitely trying it out soon but I wanted to know if it can be made and stored for later. How do I store and for how long
Great question Beatrice! I’m pleased to tell you they store incredibly well in a plastic bag that’s sealable such as ziplock bags, and in the fridge for weeks. They stay soft and silky for up to 4 weeks in the fridge. They’ll store longer in the freezer for months also in a ziplock bag with parchment paper in between each sheet and when ready to use, remove from freezer and allow to thaw and regain their original softness, prior to use.
How long can it stay outside the fridge please?
Beautiful!
Thank you 🙏🏽😘😘😘
@@NanaabasKitchen You are welcome! It is really nice. Nothing beats homemade samosa wrappers. I made some before, following this same method by a different UA-camr and it was so good! The scraps can be fried and it is so tasty! I later wanted to make some spring rolls and I bought egg roll wrappers. Needless to say, I tossed it. It was terrible! The wonderful filling could not make up for it. Homemade wrappers has spoiled me!😂 It is also fun to make as it the dough feels so good!
Good night ... I loved your recipe ... I understand little English but I want to know how long the dough goes in the oven and with what temperature, I know that the fire is only for 5 minutes on each side or only on one side. .. Thank you, I'll wait for your answer ... you can use the Google translator ... kisses from Venezuela
Please can you keep spring rolls wrappers for some days, if yes please how do you refrigerate it
Yh
can I make dumplings using these wrappers?
Very good mama ❤❤❤ thank you
Thank you Lydia 🙏🏾😘❤️❤️❤️
Wow..well done
Thank you Sunday 🙏🏿🥰
Nana my love well done Sis 😋😋😋😋😋😋😘😘😘
Awwww thank you sis 😘😘
This video is so great...but my question is how to do preserve left over
Wrap then in cling film or put in ziplock bag and freeze. Can last up to 3 months
Well, always done like pro with gracious, i havent done it and great idea for holidays.. Do live in Ontario?
Annick Doudou thank you dear! You’ll love the next tutorial 👌🏾

Thanks sis for sharing 😙😙
Vivian, blessings dear sis 🙏🏿😘😘😘
You are the best like anty Queen said
I appreciate you 🙏🏾😘
Can you store them in the fridge or freezer in a Ziploc bag?

Thank you Patricia for your support sis 💕
amazing. Thanks a lot
Thank you 🙏🏿❤️
Beautiful
Thank you Vivian 🙏🏿😘
Nana, plz can I use hard flour?
Thank u so much🇬🇭
My pleasure Van 🙏🏿
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Thank you Vivian 🙏🏿💕
Please ma'am, can these wrappers be used for shawama as well?
For Shawarma, you’ll need pita flat bread to wrap. These wrappers are too thin and uncooked yet. Thank you!!
My name please thank you so much the wonderful time u have for us🙏🏻🙏🏻. Love ❤️ you much 🥰😘
Much love to you as well dear Christabel 🙏🏾❤️
Perfect
Thank you Ruth 🙏🏿😘
What else can I use if I don't have griller or oven what else can I use
Hello ! Thanks for the video. Can they be made and frozen?
They sure can with the store bought frozen sheets. The homemade one tastes better in my experience and also store very well for months frozen and fro weeks in the fridge inside a ziplock bag.
Very great tutorial, I will be sending u my address for some samosas and spring rolls ooo, no lie.
😂 eiiii sis! I’m waiting wai! Thank you for your support dear😘
Please ma how can i store the wrappers if i want to use it tomorrow?
Gud job Mama😋😍
Thank you Elorm 🙏🏾😍
How do you preserve the wraps without getting hard???
Hi Nanaaba, can we keep the wraps refrigerated and for how long pls?
Valerie, yes we can keep the wraps refrigerated in a plastic bag (ziplock) for up to 6 weeks. I made some 4 weeks ago and it’s still fresh in the fridge. My fridge temperature runs from cold to coldest and I have it set in the middle temperature.
Can I add corn starch in mine?
Hello Nanaaba. I'm trying your recipe but with just one cup of flour and half cup of water (cos I'm practicing). The dough keeps sticking on my fingers but your fingers look neat. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Your ratio of water to flour may be slightly off. Use flour to knead the dough till it’s smooth and not sticking.
@@NanaabasKitchenokay please. Thank you. I will try again. Smile 😊
I tried and failed. But it was my first attempt. I will try again. I left the in the oven too long, thanks for this video xx
Jeanette, I made the very same mistake on my first few attempts at this! Thank you for having the “can do” attitude about it! 🙏🏽❤️😘
can one use microwave instead of an oven?
Can this rap be used for sharwama rap
How long we can keep
Mama pls how can I use the frying pan if I don't have the oven?
Use a large frying plan or skillet that can fit the rolled out dough and let it heat the dough through for just 4 minutes without flipping it.
OK,,,thanks so much
Pls I beg u can I know much about flour,,, all purpose is the same one we use when frying our fish or ???
@@berylokoe101 I'm pretty sure it is.
Can I replace the water with the milk in the mixture?
Please can I use pastry flour to do the wrappers?
You can use store bought spring roll wrappers 🙏🏽😘
@@NanaabasKitchen I was asking if I could use pastry flour to do the spring roll wrappers and you replied that I can buy the spring rolls wrappers from a store and use. Please your answer did not reply my question.thankx
@@giftyarmah1600 you can... I'm sure because we mostly use all-purpose flour ain Ghana
Does it have to be five layers can it be more
I tried today but it got stuck together do I put a lot oil when I roll it
You need lots of oil 🙏🏾😍
Thanks sooo much I will try and give you feedback
what do u do with the cut edges? are they waste?
Fry them like I did in the video
Please what makes it break when peeling them
If they dry out too much. Ilthey must remain moist for smooth peeling 🙏🏽😘
Please ma what's the measurements for 100 piece of samosa and spring rolls
Please how can you store your samosa sheets Incase you don’t want to use it that same day
I did mine but it's breaking how do I avoid that and Al d raps didn't come out they practically joined together,I mean some of them
Please re we to allow it cool before we peel them
I tried it but I fried my spring rolls it had bubbles on it and I don't know why please what should I do?
The oil got too hot. Fry on medium heat and if you start seeing bubbling of the crust, you must decrease the heat. It fries well on gentle, medium, well controlled heat. 🙏🏾
Please what happens to the cut out that is the pieces
Would love to try it but it looks like it’s a lot of work. I will probably stick with the usual flour tortillas .
Afua, I appreciate your feedback! They’re Super worth it though and it’s really not that arduous. 🙏🏿💕
How many grams is a cup of flour pls?
You can google that the conversion comes up easily
Followed the recipe to a T and it was an epic fail😭. Everything stuck together but will still use it nonetheless
Sorry to hear that. Please try again and be sure to apply more oil and flour in between every layer. Like I said in the video, it took multiple attempts even for me to nail the process.
I can’t separate my wraps… they keep sticking together
Try again and this time apply much much oil between the layers. Let the oil drip on the entire circumference of each rolled out dough. Should work then.
@@NanaabasKitchen thank you so much for your help
🤣🤣 kitchen geometry, thanks very much for the indept measurement.
Thank you Arny for watching and commenting! Glad you got a kick out of the geometry lessons 😂 just trying have fun you know😉
